"An astonishing discovery comes from the outer reaches of the Solar System: Pluto and Titan, two very different celestial bodies, both display an absorption line never before observed. The James Webb Space Telescope detected this signature at 5.11 micrometers, a

wavelength that does not correspond to any known chemical compound elsewhere. This observation indicates that a yet-unidentified molecule exists on the surface of these two bodies.

By observing Pluto and Titan, scientists highlighted an absorption line at 5.11 micrometers. No previous publication mentions a similar line, whether for other planets in the Solar System or for exoplanets. The researchers therefore believe that this signature comes from an unknown molecule, present only on these two icy bodies.

It is remarkable that Pluto and Titan have very little in common. Titan, Saturn's largest moon, has rivers and oceans of liquid methane on its surface, and is larger than Mercury. Pluto, on the other hand, is a frozen dwarf planet, twice as small as Titan and four times farther from the Sun. Yet the two worlds share atmospheres rich in nitrogen and methane. But this unknown molecule appears to be located on their surfaces, not in their atmospheres.

On Pluto, the absorption line is about three times stronger than on Titan, indicating a higher concentration. On Titan, the distribution is uneven: the trailing hemisphere (the one opposite the direction of rotation around Saturn) shows stronger absorption than the leading hemisphere. This asymmetry intrigues researchers, who are working to understand its origin."

"Internal heat can be produced in several ways:
*From the sun. But Pluto is too far away (about 6 billion km) to receive any significant heat from the sun.

Pluto compared to the size of the United States

*From radioactivity. But Pluto is too small to have enough radioactive materials to produce the needed heat.
*From tidal heating due to interaction with its largest moon, Charon. This may play some role in generating the internal heat of, for example, Jupiter’s moon, Io. But Jupiter is massive—over 1 million times more massive than Charon. Even though Charon is closer to Pluto than Io is to Jupiter, the tidal forces are still about 100 times smaller. That is, way too small to play a significant part.
*From internal heat present at its formation. This seems the only remaining possibility.
And that is where the dilemma is for long-agers. If Pluto were 4.5 billion years old, its internal heat would have vanished billions of years ago."

"As Pluto is out of alignment, (on an oblique orbital path compared to the other planets) its highly elliptical orbit is the result. Yet, while Pluto has two orbits of the Sun, being timed by God respective to

Neptune's three orbits; timed never to collide with Neptune when crossing its orbit while Pluto is in its perihelion; Among Pluto's moons, it has Charon, orbiting like a gyroscope effect around Pluto, which subsequently wobbles in its trajectory yet precise orbit around the Sun. 

Abstract 'evolution' then says Pluto did this by its own 'self determination'. Yet, at the same time, our domestic pet rock can't think for itself. 

The Laws of Physics determine that any incoming object, from outside our Solar System, either spirals into the Sun or leaves the Solar System faster than its approach velocity. 

Unable to achieve a balanced orbit, no matter what oblique angle of approach trajectory i.e. there is no 'sweet spot'. Only God can reasonably place Pluto (and the other planets) at their correct trajectory, correct velocity and with balanced perihelion and aphelion orbits around our Sun. 

Demonstrably phenomenal empirical evidence of Fine Tuning.

The Planets, including our Earth and its complexities, our Sun, our Galaxy and other Galaxies all in formation reliance for their existence e.g. thankfully our Galaxy is not colliding with another. Therefore, all had to be Created within a very short time frame. Six days is ideal, Genesis 1:1-31.

"All of Pluto’s satellites have inclinations to Pluto’s equator of less than a degree (while Pluto’s rotation axis is tilted 122.5 degrees to its orbit around the sun). 

The orbits of Pluto’s satellites are nearly circular. Each of Pluto’s satellites has smaller orbital eccentricity than the earth does as it orbits the sun, and perhaps even less than Venus, the planet with the lowest orbital eccentricity. 

Thus, the orbital characteristics of Pluto’s satellites argue against their being captured asteroids. 

The surfaces of Pluto and its largest satellite, Charon, have far lower crater density than would be expected if their ages are billions of years.   

Therefore, much evidence suggests the Plutonian system is young." CMI

Planetary scientists pull out their tried-and-true 

all-purpose explanation: impacts.

 

"Pluto is supposed to be 4.5 billion years old, circling the sun in a highly inclined orbit far from other gravitational influences. 

---Mission scientists for New Horizons expected to see a crater-saturated ice ball when the spacecraft flew by in 2015. 

---Instead, they got an active body with nitrogen glaciers, tectonic activity and a thin atmosphere. Now they even think it has a liquid ocean under its surface. 

---Quick! Bring in the Theory Fixers! In come the asteroids. They added some heat and scarred Pluto’s face to make it look older.

The heart-shaped basin named Sputnik Planitia is a particular area of concern, because much of the activity occurs there. It has very few craters.  

Q: If it was gouged out by an impact, how did it get filled in with nitrogen ice? How long did that take?

Clues to Pluto’s History Lie in Its Faults (EOS Science News from the AGU). A news item from the American Geophysical Union summarizes research by the Lunar and Planetary Institute. They decided that the “cold Pluto” theory doesn’t explain the young features, so a “hot Pluto” model is needed— with a little help from (Incoming rock alert!… WHAM!!) impactors.

This liquid water ocean has huge implications for how

Pluto formed and retained enough heat to melt all that ice. In the years since the New Horizons flyby, two general formation hypotheses have emerged. The first starts with a “cold” Pluto, which involves Pluto forming over millions of years by the slow accretion of cold objects. This version of Pluto eventually would have coalesced enough material that radiative heating from the inside would melt the subsurface ocean. The other hypothesis involves a “warm” or “hot” Pluto, in which Pluto formed over a shorter time period in violent collisions that heated its interior, formed the ocean, and eventually cooled the planet into the majority ice ball we know today.

If Pluto had formed by slow accretion (the old standard theory), its only heat source would have been radiogenic heat. All the short-period radionuclides should have burned out long ago. Another source of heat out in the solar system’s icebox zone comes from the kinetic energy of impacts."

Let’s see if they can keep Pluto billions of years old. Feel the surprise at Pluto’s revelation during the flyby:

Following its flyby of the Pluto-Charon system in 2015, NASA’s New Horizons spacecraft returned high quality images that revealed complex worlds with an unexpectedly diverse range of terrains and a correspondingly diverse range of resurfacing mechanisms, including broad tectonic systems, suggestions of cryovolcanic activity, and even ongoing surface renewal in the form of the convecting and glacially flowing nitrogen ice deposits of Sputnik Planitia on Pluto (Moore et al., 2016; Stern et al., 2015).

Such processes should not be going on so far away from the sun. Have they been steady for billions of years?

Global climate modeling of Pluto (Bertrand et al., 2018) indicates that the massive scale of the Sputnik basin would cause it to be filled by nitrogen ice migrating into it from across Pluto after its excavation over a timescale of some tens of millions of years (less than 1% of Pluto’s total age). If the basin is filled so rapidly, it follows that the formation of the Sputnik basin and its subsequent infilling (i.e., loading) are essentially coincidental to within some tens of millions of years.

Notice the assumption: “1% of Pluto’s total age.” That embeds the 4.5-billion-year age assumption into the discussion. They take it as undisputed fact, but if the impact occurred near the beginning of Pluto’s old-age story, and if Sputnik Planitia filled in within tens of millions of years (several 450ths of the assumed age), why is activity still going on today?" "The small moons—Styx, Nix, Kerberos, and Hydra, in order of proximity to Pluto—all rotate much faster than the 20 to 38 days the moons take to orbit the Pluto-Charon system. 

Kerberos spins the slowest, once every 5.33 hours, whereas Hydra is the whirling dervish of the quartet, rotating once every 26 minutes.

  

Prior to the New Horizons mission it was believed, from Hubble Space Telescope images, that the moons’ orbits were chaotic. 

But from the data recorded by the Long Range Reconnaissance Imager camera on the New Horizons spacecraft during its fly-by of this system, it has been determined that the brightness variations from the moons show very clear signs of periodicity, revealing that the moons were not so much tumbling but spinning in a regular fashion, and much faster than anyone expected. 

The images also reveal that Nix is orbiting backward and on its side. In addition, from the animation above, you may note that the spin axes of the moons are precessing, just like a spinning top. 

 

Q: And where does that leave the uniformitarian theory for the formation of the solar system? 

A: In big trouble, I suggest. Some ad hoc hypothesis must now be invented to explain this anomaly. 

Nix rotates retrograde—backwards—similar to the way the planet Venus orbits the sun. Nix is also on its side similar to the planet Uranus (which has a 97.77% tilt to the plane of the solar system). ----These are anomalies that are contrary to the uniformitarian principle of the solar system forming out of a nebula cloud of gas and dust.

In such a scenario all angular momentum is directed in the same plane. The angular momentum vector should be perpendicular to the plane of the alleged newly forming protoplanetary system. 

Q: How can individual planets and moons spin retrograde? 

That would mean their angular momentum vector points in the opposite direction to the rest of the bodies.  

Also, of course there should really be little angular momentum in the outer planets as the sun allegedly spun up. 

 

But the opposite is needed, because the sun is observed to have relatively very little angular momentum. Consider our sun with a mass representing 99.86% of the mass of the solar system but only 4% of its angular momentum. The planets on the other hand have a total combined mass of only 0.14% of the mass of the solar system yet 96% of its angular momentum. Most of the angular momentum of any solar system must reside initially in the central core of the collapsing cloud, which eventually becomes the star, according to the theory.  

 

Yet, after some time nearly all the angular momentum has to be transferred to the planets somehow. This is a huge problem for the theory.  

Earth’s moon was created in a near perfect circular orbit and tidally locked for purposes of stability to Earth’s tides and other designed-for-life features. Any disturbance to the orbit or any notion that it could have been captured run counter to its observed near perfectly circular orbit. 

Likewise, planets with tidally locked moons were created that way, as well as retrograde motion like Venus’ spin. 

Naturalistic methods fail on all counts to account for such a feature."

"Pluto’s atmosphere is freezing onto the surface again as its orbit

takes it farther from the sun. How many times has this happened?

Scientists at Southwest Research Institute watched Pluto occult a star on the night of August 18, 2021. This allowed them to measure the height and density of Pluto’s thin atmosphere. The press release says:

Like Earth, Pluto’s atmosphere is predominantly nitrogen.

Unlike Earth, Pluto’s atmosphere is supported by the vapor pressure of its surface ices, which means that small changes in surface ice temperatures would result in large changes in the bulk density of its atmosphere. Pluto takes 248 Earth years to complete one full orbit around the Sun, and its distance varies from its closest point, about 30 astronomical units from the Sun (1 AU is the distance from the Earth to the Sun), to 50 AU from the Sun.

If Pluto is 4.5 billion years old, simple division shows that it would have orbited the sun over 18 million times by now. This implies that the atmosphere has warmed and frozen that many times, too.

This is the kind of question space scientists never ask. Is it credible that the atmosphere at Pluto has undergone 18 million cycles of warming and refreezing and still have some left today? ......18 million orbits should have depleted a significant volume of gas." CEH

A layer of gas hydrates (gas trapped within ice), between the ice cap and the liquid water, apparently provides insulation for the ocean, preventing it from freezing. Just like a hot potato kept warm in a coat pocket, the scientists propose that heat within Pluto has been trapped beneath the frozen ice-cap.

However, this creates big problems for secular scientists. One is that they acknowledge there is no possibility of Pluto being heated via such things as tidal heating, where gravitational friction creates heat, because Pluto is much too far away from planets. And with the alleged enormous age of 4.6 billion years for Pluto, it is unthinkable that heat on such a relatively small body could last so long without radiating away into the deep cold of space.

A liquid ocean, so far from the heat of the sun, means that Pluto must be much younger than conventionally claimed." CMI

Creation Moment 7/4/2021 - Pluto Undermines Evolutionary Cosmology of Nebular Hypothesis

"Pluto belongs to a class of objects that orbit the sun beyond

Neptune, called TNOs (Trans Neptunian Objects). Astronomers regard these as material left over from the gas and dust nebula from which the solar system supposedly formed, supposedly 4.6 billion years ago. 

 

But Pluto is a problem for the nebular hypothesis. 

First, it does not orbit in the same plane as the other planets (i.e., the ecliptic) but at an angle of 17°. Why not? 

Second, its axis of rotation is not perpendicular to its orbital plane but tilted so that it points almost directly at the sun at present. How come? 

Third, Pluto’s orbit is not circular but highly elliptical. In fact, it occasionally comes closer to the sun than Neptune. Why? These features of Pluto contradict the predictions of the nebular hypothesis, so astronomers have had to invent ad hoc secondary stories to explain them. So much for the nebular hypothesis.

Pluto and its moons don’t support the idea of billions of years either. Analysis of light from Charon suggests that its surface is covered with active volcanoes of ammonia-rich water spewing out of the moon’s deep interior. Similar conclusions have been reached for many TNO’s. This means there must be a source of internal heat within these objects. But if they are billions of years old they should have been cold and dead billions of years ago." CMI

Did our other solar system planets form by the same way via the Spirit of God?

“Because water expands when it freezes and contracts when it

melts, the hot-start and cold-start scenarios have different implications for the tectonics and resulting surface features of Pluto,” added Carver Bierson, also from the Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences at the University of California Santa Cruz.
“If it started cold and the ice melted internally, Pluto would have contracted and we should see compression features on its surface, whereas if it started hot it should have expanded as the ocean froze and we should see extension features on the surface.”
“We see lots of evidence of expansion, but we don’t see any evidence of compression, so the observations are more consistent with Pluto starting with a liquid ocean.”
