Green Religion turns Christianity Upside Down

In Christianity, God gave man dominion over the creation. (That does not mean he gave man the right to abuse His creatures, etc). But the modern green movement thinks plant & animal life is equal to, or superior to, human life and it's placement within the hiearchy of the web of creation. The practitioners of the green religion (modern enviromental movement) see humans in a postion of authority over the creation as a problem.

Beware of "Moralistic Therapuetic Deism" Preaching {God the Divine Butler & Cosmic Therapist}

And just what is "moralistic therapeutic deism" (abbreviated MTD)?
A combination of 5 basic beliefs held by the youth of today when it comes to  religion:

Divine Butler? Cosmic Therapist?

1. A god exists who created and ordered the world and watches over human life on earth.
2. God wants people to be good, nice, and fair to each other, as taught in the Bible and by most world religions.
3. The central goal of life is to be happy and to feel good about oneself.
4. God does not need to be particularly involved in one's life except when God is needed to resolve a problem.
5. Good people go to heaven when they die.  Wikipedia

According to The Christian Post - "Smith and his colleagues recognize that the deity behind Moralistic Therapeutic Deism is very much like the deistic God of the 18th-century philosophers. This is not the God who thunders from the mountain, nor a God who will serve as judge. This undemanding deity is more interested in solving our problems and in making people happy. "In short, God is something like a combination Divine Butler and Cosmic Therapist:" Just as a side note: GOD is NOT a Divine Butler or a Cosmic Therapist!!!!!!!!!!!

Re-emergent Gnosticism-The Emergent Church & the DaVinci Code

Anybody notice that in the first decade of the 21st century there was the rise of the so-called Emergent Church (which is a modern form of ancient gnosticism) and that same first decade saw the rise and popularity of Dan Brown's novels (turned into movies) the DaVinci Code and Angels & Demons (based on the writings of the gnostics)?
This one-two punch of the slithering snake of gnosticism reborn was not a coincidence. It not only invaded the secular pop culture but also is slithering into mainstream churches now.
The first decade of this century could be called the new gnostic decade.

From Answers in Genesis, an article about the bigoted removal of a scientist who doesn't believe in traditional evolutionary reasoning-
"Dr. Richard Sternberg. Despite having two Ph.D.s in evolutionary biology, he was harassed and encouraged to resign from the Smithsonian Institution’s National Museum of Natural History because, as an editor, he allowed the publication of an article that was favorable to intelligent design. A recently released congressional investigative report described “compelling evidence that Dr. Sternberg’s civil and constitutional rights were violated by Smithsonian officials.” In addition, it was noted that “Given the attitudes expressed in these emails, scientists who are known to be skeptical of Darwinian theory, whatever their qualifications or research record, cannot expect to receive equal treatment or consideration by NMNH officials.”
Also in the report was the finding that “NMNH officials conspired with a special interest group on government time and using government emails to publicly smear Dr. Sternberg; the group was also enlisted to monitor Sternberg’s outside activities in order to find a way to dismiss him.”
Who was the special interest group? None other than the National Center for Science Education (NCSE) and specifically NCSE director Eugenie Scott.
Although Scott insists that such discrimination is not because of religious beliefs but on the basis of science, there is no evidence to support her claim. Indeed, the testimony of numerous creationists who have earned Ph.D.s suggest no deficiency exists. Reports from graduates from Liberty University who have been admitted to science and science related graduate programs indicate that they often receive some of the highest grades and are quite competitive with their peers. While anyone may need help or remediation in science, the suggestion that a creationist automatically requires remediation is in fact religious discrimination."

Footprints of 30 humans of different ages were found in volcanic ash in Africa near a lake. It is thought by evolutionists that they are 120,000  years old. They are puzzled how they look so much like modern human footprints for being 120,000 years old.
They fail to explain how they could be preserved for 120,000 years. Also, if you examined them without looking through the prism of evolution-what would you see?-----Human footprints--just like those made today.

The octopus has a brain that appears to be more itelligent than previously thought. Evolutionary theory says that intelligence "evolves" in social cratures to help them deal with social relationships. Yet the octopus isn't a social creature. Apparenlty during research some of the octopus under study were able to devise a variety of games for a plastic bottle they were given. CM

Creation Moment 2/12/2012 - Another "WASTE-of-a-BOOK"---End of Christianity by William Dembski

William Dembski says of his new book, The End of Christianity-
"My book attempts to resolve how the Fall of Adam could be responsible for all evil in the world, both moral and natural IF the earth is old and thus IF a fossil record that bespeaks violence among organisms predates the temporal occurrence of the Fall. My resolution is to argue that just as the salvation of Christ purchased at the Cross acts forward as well as backward in time (the Old Testament saints were saved in virtue of the Cross), so too the effects of the Fall can go backward in time."

Uhm....what kind of poisonous psychobabbel is that? How can the effects of the "Fall" go "backward" in time? Sin on earth entered the world through mankind. But wait-there is more psychobabbel about his book-
"Mental environments are more powerful than what typically are understood as worldviews. A worldview can be thought of as a collection of propositions to which we assent. But a mental environment adds conviction to a worldview. How strongly do we hold to certain principles and values in our worldview, and how does that make a practical difference in our lives? A mental environment controls, among other things, our plausibility structures – what we find reasonable or unreasonable. In the current mental environment, given that it holds to an old earth, it becomes very hard for people to accept that the Fall affected the physical world (and, in particular, induced natural evil). My theodicy attempts to redress this obstacle posed to the Fall by the current mental environment."

HUH? Me thinks Dembski tries to think TOO MUCH.....As the book review on Amazon.com says of his book "Entering the conversation, Dembski’s provocative The End of Christianity embraces the challenge to formulate a theodicy that is both faithful to Christian orthodoxy and credible to the new mental environment. " What does "credible to the new mental enviroment" mean"?

In fairness to Dembski, he doesn't believe in evolution, yet he is trying to reconcile a supposed 4.5 Billion yr. earth with Adam & Eve and denies the flood was global, but rather was local in the Middle East. This is what happens when you begin to compromise with the world. There is plenty of evidence to refute evolution-no need to compromise on that or the global flood.

Replacement Theology, Covenant Theology & Dispensationalism

Raeplacement theology is what dispensationalists refer to those who believe (as I do) that before the cross was literal Israel and after the cross His church is now spiritual Israel.
Dispensationalists believe that the future prophecies for Israel past the cross were for literal Israel throughout history. This is primarily the belief of what we call the "secret rapture crowd". This is why you hear them talk a lot about Israel today.
Those of covenant theology (Reformed churches, including Presbyterian) are sometimes accused by dispensationalists of believing repalcement theology (where the church replaces Israel). But those who are into covenant theology disagree. As minister Nallie Malabuyo of a Reformed Church put it "It has been widely held by Reformed theologians that there will be a great conversion of Jews. Some call this “anti-semitism.” This isn’t anti-semitism, it is Christianity."
Replacement Theology is correct. You see, one false doctrine leads to another. If you think Israel in future prophecy is literal Israel, it then leads into another false doctrine, the secret rapture,  etc.
The Jewish people rejected Him. He is not accepted as their Messiah as a people. It is both unBiblical and illogical to oppose replacement theology--of course the Christian Church replaced Israel!! In Revelation, the woman in white, before the child (Christ) was born was Israel  as His people with the truth. After the child (Christ) is caught up into heaven-His people represented by the woman is His Church. The 12 stars on her head-representing the 12 tribes-now represent the Church founded by the 12 disciples. (As for a main difference between the false doctrines of covenent theology and dispensationalism-is that dispensationalism views the new covenant as taking the place of the old and covenant theology believes the new is an extension of the old...As for me, who believes in Replacement Theology, I think the old covenant was the works carried out in the earthly model of the sanctuary and sealed with the blood of animals. The new covenant is simply the work fullfilled on the cross of the altar of sacrice, 1st article of furniture in the sanctuary, and now followed up in the reality of the heavenly sanctuary. Now sealed by HIS blood. In other words, from Passover to now Communiuon services in rememberance of it).
Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace. And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then is it no more grace: otherwise work is no more work. Romans 11:5,6 The works here are the ceremonial works of the Jewish symbolism relating to their services. Now the reality of the sacrifice is freely given and the blood has been gotten for the Judgement for the blotting out of sins. Now one has to accept what is given by grace. The work continues in the heavenly sanctuary by Christ, not in the works of the earthly sanctuary by men.

In India it's called "devadasi", which means "god's favorite servant". And where do these temple prostitutes come from? The female babies are dedicated to the goddess Yellamma by poor couples who can't afford to care for their daughters. They hope to gain the favor of the goddess by doing so. This has been going on for over several thousand years. But about 30 years ago it was outlawed in modern India, so the practice went underground.

Do not prostitute thy daughter, to cause her to be a whore; lest the land fall to whoredom, and the land become full of wickedness. Leviticus 19:29
