Two characteristics of the Grave

Two characteristics of the Grave:

"Psalms 115:17 “The dead do not praise the LORD nor any who
go down into silence.” 

Job 17:13, 14 “If I wait for the grave [Sheol] as my house, If I make my bed in the darkness, If I say to corruption, 'You are my father,' and to the worm, 'You are my mother and my sister,'” 

There is no place darker or more silent than to be six feet under!!

Revelation 1:17, 18: Once again, Hades is linked with the idea of death. Jesus died and went to the grave but He came to life again and came forth from the grave “And when I saw Him, I fell at His feet as dead. But He laid His right hand on me, saying to me, "Do not be afraid; I am the First and the Last. I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore. Amen. And I have the keys of Hades [hell in the KJV] and of Death.” 

* Satan as the jailer 

* The tomb as the jail 

*The dead as the prisoners 

*The jailer has the keys and dares Jesus to go in to get them. 

*Jesus goes into the tomb and takes away the keys
*He comes out on the third day and says: “I am the resurrection and the life, because I live, you will live also.” 

*This battle can be clearly seen in the story of the resurrection of Moses (Jude 9)."
