"A pagan idol called an “Indigenous Friendship Symbol” was recently installed at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic High School in British Columbia, Canada.
There was a special dedication ceremony that was attended by members of the indigenous First Nations people – a Native American tribe in British Columbia. The hand-carved idol was made by the First Nations tribe and was a message to the Catholic community expressing that they along with native Americans are “one family.”
According to news reports this indigenous “pole” (idol) was commissioned by a Roman Catholic religious order. There was even an indigenous “traditional blessing” service (pagan worship) during the dedication of this idol.
Catholic school children were encouraged to participate in these interfaith spiritualistic rituals."
