"It is a remarkable fact that all the heresies which have arisen in the Christian Church have had a decided tendency to dishonor God and to flatter man."
Charles Spurgeon
Many Christians Dishonor God by claiming to have Immortality thereby flattering themselves that regardless--they will live for eternity-like God, thereby elevating themselves to the level of a "god".
Whether among the saints in heaven -- or -- in a mythical "hell".
(I only say "mythical" because rather than an eternally burning place called "hell"...the wicked are destroyed in the "Lake of Fire" in the end).
Shall mortal man be more just than God?
shall a man be more pure than his maker?
... the King of kings, and Lord of lords;
Who only hath immortality,
dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto;
whom no man hath seen, nor can see...
Job 4:17/Ezekiel 18:4/1 Timothy 6:15,16
