A cats tongue can lap milk from a bowl at about 4 times a second. It uses fluid mechanics. When the tip of the tongue touches the milk it pulls back drawing a column of milk up and when the inertia of the column is balanced with gravity, and begins to head back down, that is when the cat closes its mouth over the column of milk. It's the use of 2 mathematical equations. A perfectly designed system by the Designer Himself.....
