Adam, Eve & the Fall

"By venturing to disregard the will of God upon one point, our first parents opened the floodgates of woe upon the world." Thoughts From the Mount of Blessing p.52 E.G.W.
Adam & Eve were given one test in this new world. Why? Because God is a God who gives free will. They had one simple test. Don't eat the fruit of just one particular tree.... Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die. Genesis 3:1-3
Next the serpent tells the first lie on earth And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: (How many people still believe that, believing when they die they really don't die, but rather go to heaven, "hell" or purgatory?)
For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil. Genesis 3:4,5 Transgression of the rules of God is sin, and as Paul tells us For the wages of sin is death; Romans 6:23 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law. 1 John 3:4
So what does Eve do? And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat. Genesis 3:6 Today the serpent still is dangling before peoples eyes things that are pleasant, the entanglements and amusements of the world.
And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of the garden. And the LORD God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou? Genesis 3:8,9 Now they did it (and we today)
And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission. Hebrews 9:22 The plan of Redemption was set in motion to its climax And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Philippians 2:8
All the universe is watching us, to see what happens. If God had wiped out Lucifer when he first sinned, many would have asked why? What was God hiding? Or afraid of? Or maybe Lucifer was right they would have thought. Now the universe has seen the results of sin, and if it ever rears up again, no one will be able to question God about disposing of it. What terrible price the human race has paid though for the sin of Adam and Eve and the hatred of Lucifer for God. But when the fullness of time comes, as with His birth, it will be final. And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air; and there came a great voice out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, IT IS DONE. Revelation 16:17
Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; ... Isaiah 49:16 Oh, and as for Adam, all men carry the Y-chromosome ,Y-MRCA. Its a chromosome all males inherit from their fathers. It traces back to one common male ancestor and is nicknamed by scientists, somewhat mockingly, the Y-Adam chromosome. Similar to the Mt DNA passed from mother to children that traces back to the "Mitochondrial Eve" as evolutionists call her, the mother of all. OR--how about this. Maybe their names really were Adam and Eve? Hmmm.... And what happened to Adam and Eve? Therefore the LORD God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken. Genesis 3:23
