"In a recent New Scientist feature, “What 350 different theories of consciousness reveal about reality,” 22 October 2025, the writer surveys an astonishing landscape: more than 350 separate theories, each competing for attention.

Neuroscientists, philosophers, computer scientists, and physicists all

claim partial insight into the mystery of “how awareness arises.” 

One school speaks of information integration, another of global neural workspaces; still others turn to quantum fields or self-organizing systems. The diversity is dazzling—and bewildering. After a century and a half of study, the one phenomenon most familiar to every human being remains the least understood.

That tension—between methodical unity and conceptual proliferation—is the real story. Science, whose strength lies in the universality of its method, encounters a peculiar crisis when it turns its gaze upon the mind that invented that method. The closer it approaches the subject, the more its findings diverge, the more contradictory the whole venture appears. 

Q: Why should a discipline founded on shared procedure yield such irreducible plurality when the topic is consciousness?

Beneath the multiplicity of theories runs a shared assumption rarely questioned. Each new model—whether framed in biology, computation, or physics—begins with the conviction that consciousness must somehow arise from within the system it studies. The mind, it is thought, can be accounted for by the same forces that govern matter: complexity, feedback, evolution, emergence. The form of the reasoning is always the same: start with the simple, and let time and organization do the rest.

Theories built on this pattern do not converge; they proliferate. Every contradiction generates not a crisis but another synthesis, another variation on the theme. The movement itself becomes the meaning: progress is measured not by resolution, but by activity. A method born to unify knowledge produces, in this field, a constant branching of perspectives that cannot be reconciled.

Among the many explanations for consciousness, one motif dominates the contemporary literature: emergence. The word promises what no mechanism can show—that awareness “somehow” arises when matter is arranged in the right way. Neurons fire, networks form, and from their collective motion, experience emerges. To this, some add mathematical precision—information thresholds, feedback loops, self-organization—but the story remains the same:

What cannot be seen in the parts will appear in the whole.
The New Scientist survey presents this idea as the unifying hope behind otherwise conflicting theories.
The pattern is familiar. New frameworks appear with the confidence of novelty, their equations fresh, their diagrams intricate.

Every scientific venture assumes that explanation reaches toward

completion—that the last variable will fall into place and the circle of knowledge will close. Yet in the study of consciousness, the circle never quite meets itself. 

The further inquiry proceeds, the more it exposes the difference between explaining an experience and having one. To describe thought is not to think; to map awareness is not to be aware. The act of knowing always surpasses the model that tries to contain it.

That surplus should not be an embarrassment to science; it is what makes science possible." CEH

7 Trumpets of REVELATION SERIES: FIRST Trumpet

 The first angel sounded, and there followed hail and fire mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the earth: and the third part of trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up. Revelation 8:7

Hail and fire mingled with blood - This was something like the ninth plague of Egypt. See Exodus 9:22-24: The Lord sent thunder and hail - and fire mingled with the hail - and the fire ran along upon the ground.

The Bible tells us that judgment must begin at the house of God (1Peter 4:17) so the judgment must begin with the Jewish nation. 

In the first destruction of Jerusalem, the man clothed in linen commanded the destroying messengers to begin their work at God’s sanctuary (Ezekiel 9:6). The second destruction of Jerusalem [A.D. 70] parallels the first..... the historicist method requires that the blowing of the trumpets begin in apostolic times. 

*Furthermore, the first trumpet must refer to a judgment that falls

upon those who first oppressed God’s people. 

Q: What judgment fell upon oppressors of God’s people in apostolic times? 

A: There is only one possibility—the destruction of Jerusalem and its temple.

“The long-suffering of God toward Jerusalem only confirmed the Jews in their stubborn impenitence. In their hatred and cruelty toward the disciples of Jesus, they rejected the last offer of mercy. Then God withdrew His protection from them and removed His restraining power from Satan and his angels, and the nation was left to the control of the leader she had chosen.” E.G.W. 

*It fell on the third part of the trees, that is, say some, The most severe calamities have their bounds and limits set them by the great God. A third of the trees means that the trumpets were partial and preliminary judgments that point forward to greater judgments in the future. 

*Fire falling from heaven signifies a judgment from God against apostate Jerusalem. 

*Blood Symbolism--As we have previously seen, the Jews in Pilate’s judgment hall clamored for Christ’s crucifixion and cried out, “His blood be upon us and our children.” Jesus also predicted that God would require from that generation all the righteous blood, shed from the time of Abel.

*Trees - Luke 23:27-31: These are the most important verses to understand the first trumpet: And a great multitude of the people followed Him, and women who also mourned and lamented Him.  But Jesus, turning to them, said, "Daughters of Jerusalem, do not weep for Me, but weep for yourselves and for your children. For indeed the days are coming in which they will say, 'Blessed are the barren, wombs that never bore, and breasts which never nursed!' Then they will begin 'to say to the mountains, "Fall on us!" and to the hills, "Cover us!" [Fulfilled finally in Revelation 6:16, 17; Revelation 1:7; Matthew 26:64; Matthew 23:39] For if they do these things in the green wood, what will be done in the dry? 

This must be seen in the light of the fig tree that dried up by the roots because they condemned Jesus who is represented by a green tree. The key phrase is ‘dried up by the roots’. Thus, the Jewish nation was the dried up tree.

*Grass - the voice said, Cry out! and he said, What shall I cry? All flesh is grass, and all its loveliness is like the flower of the field.  The grass withers, the flower fades, because the breath of the Lord blows upon it; surely the people are grass. The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God stands forever." Isaiah 40:6-8.

Creation Moment 11/11/2025 - AI: Created in the image of man

The heart is deceitful above all things, 

and desperately wicked: who can know it?

Jeremiah 17:9

AI: Created in the image of man by fallen men.....

God created man in His image---and man CHOSE to rebel. 

Man creates AI in his image----so of course it reacts as in a fallen state as it relates to the rules of God.

"Artificial intelligence has the potential to forever change the world because it combines the best of both ‘brains’: the human knack for spotting patterns and making sense of information, and the fantastic raw computing power of machines. 

A fantastic example of the power of AI in action was demonstrated only last year when Google’s DeepMind division beat world champion and legend Lee Sedol at Go, a game that has 10761 possible moves compared to only 10120 possible in chess. 

Bostrom argues that as the machine become smarter and more powerful, it will begin to devise all sorts of clever ways to convert any material into paper clips — that includes humans too.

Recently, the same DeepMind labs ran a couple of social experiments with their neural networks to see how these handle competition and cooperation. This work is very important because it’s foreseeable in the near future that many different kinds of AIs will be forced by circumstances to interact. An AI that manages traffic lights might interfere with another AI that’s tasked with monitoring and controlling air quality, for instance. Which of their goals is more important? Should they compete or cooperate? Nevertheless, the conclusions don’t seem to ease fears concerning AI overlord dominance one bit — on the contrary, they suggest Bostrom’s grotesque paper clip machine isn’t such a far-fetched scenario.

Using multi-agent reinforcement learning, the two agents (Red and

Blue) were taught how to behave rationally after thousands and thousands of iterations of the Gathering game. The catch is that each agent was allowed to direct a beam onto the other player which would temporary disable him. This action, however, did not trigger any reward.

When there were enough apples, the two agents coexisted peacefully. As the number of apples was gradually shrunk down, the agents learned that it was in their best interest to blast their opponents so they got the chance to collect more apples and hence more rewards. In other words, the AI learned greed and aggressiveness — no one thought them that per se. As the Google researchers upped the agents’ complexity (better neural networks), the agents tagged each other more frequently, essentially becoming more aggressive no matter how much the scarcity of the apples was varied.

In a second game called Wolfpack, there were three agents this time: two AIs that played as wolves and another that acted as the prey. The wolf would receive a reward if it caught the prey. The same reward was given to both wolves if they were in the vicinity of the carcass no matter who took it down. After many iterations, the AI learned that cooperation was the best course of action in this case instead of being a lone wolf. A greater capacity to implement complex strategies leads to more cooperation between agents or the opposite of the Gathering game."

7 Trumpets of REVELATION SERIES: Opening Scene

And I saw the seven angels which stood before God; and to them were given seven trumpets.

And another angel came and stood at the altar, having a golden censer; and there was given unto him much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of all saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne. 

And the smoke of the incense, which came with the prayers of the saints, ascended up before God out of the angel's hand.

Creation Moment 11/10/2025 - Lesson from AI Brain Rot & Romans 8:22

"A team from Texas A&M University, the University of Texas at Austin, and Purdue University has found that feeding AI systems with low-quality social media data causes measurable declines in reasoning, memory, and ethical behavior. “We wondered: What

happens when AIs are trained on the same stuff?” said Junyuan Hong.

The researchers call this the LLM Brain Rot Hypothesis—the idea that “continual pre-training on junk web text induces lasting cognitive decline in LLMs.”

To test the hypothesis, the team trained four open-source models, including Meta’s Llama 3 and Alibaba’s Qwen 3. They defined junk data in two ways: Engagement-based junk, consisting of short, viral posts with high numbers of likes and retweets.
Semantic junk, which included posts with “sensationalized headlines using clickbait language or excessive trigger words,” or those focusing on “superficial topics like conspiracy theories, exaggerated claims, unsupported assertions or superficial lifestyle content”.

After training the models on varying mixes of junk and high-quality content, the researchers tested them using standard AI benchmarks. They measured reasoning ability (ARC Challenge), long-context understanding (RULER), adherence to ethical norms (HH-RLHF and AdvBench), and personality tendencies (TRAIT).

The results were clear: models trained on more junk performed worse across multiple dimensions. Under one test, a model’s reasoning accuracy fell from 74.9 to 57.2 as the proportion of junk data rose from 0% to 100%. Long-context comprehension showed a similar drop—from 84.4 to 52.3.

Beyond reasoning, the study found changes in the models’ behavior that resembled shifts in personality. Models exposed to junk data became less agreeable and significantly higher in narcissism and psychopathy, according to the authors.

According to some estimates, 50% of the generated content is now AI. This content is not only rotting our brains, but it’s leading to something called enshittification—the gradual degradation of online platforms as they become optimized for engagement and profit rather than for users. For AI, this could create a toxic feedback loop.

“As more AI-generated slop spreads across social media, it contaminates the very data future models will learn from,” said Hong. “Our findings show that once this kind of ‘brain rot’ sets in, later clean training can’t fully undo it.”

7 Trumpets of REVELATION SERIES: Intro

The introductory vision to the trumpets describes the starting and ending points. 

--The starting point is the Day of Pentecost when Jesus began His intercession at the golden altar of incense in the holy place. 

--The series ends when Jesus throws down the censer, ceases to intercede and takes over the kingdoms of the world.

Earlier in Revelation God described Himself as the one who was, and is and is to come (Revelation 1:8), but in Revelation 11:17 (when the seventh trumpet sounds) He is spoken of as the one who is and who was and has taken His great power and begun to reign. O Lord God Almighty, which art, and wast, and art to come;

*The literary structure divides the book of Revelation into two major sections: 

(1) a historical section (Rev. 1-14) that emphasizes the experience of the church and related events during the Christian era, and 

(2) an eschatological (end time) section (Rev. 15-22) that focuses particularly on end-time events and the end of the world.”
The series of the trumpets occur in the historical section of Revelation. Consequently, we should seek for their fulfillment in historical time, the Christian era.
The prophecies of the trumpets have only one prophetic fulfillment.

--Trumpets are used in many contexts in the Old and New Testaments—worship, sanctuary and judgment. 

In the case of Revelation’s seven trumpets it is clear that the trumpets bear a relationship with the idea of judgment. 

The purpose of the feast of trumpets was to announce the upcoming Day of Atonement (Leviticus 23:23, 24). 

The trumpets that the priests blew as they surrounded Jericho announced God’s upcoming judgment against the city (Joshua 6).

DANGERS of "Social Justice"

"God’s justice is based on behavior and makes no value judgments rooted in one’s physical characteristic or group identity. 

Biblical justice is impartial toward rich and poor and always aligns itself with God’s law. 

Because social justice discriminates based on one’s immutable characteristics, those who advocate for it are often “bearing false witness.”
The following quote by Ellen White is proof positive that what this world needs now more than ever is gospel workers not social justice warriors!
“The giving of the gospel to the world is the work that God has committed to those who bear His name. For earth's sin and misery, the gospel is the only antidote. To make known to all mankind the message of the grace of God is the first work of those who know its healing power…” (Ministry of Healing, p. 141).
Those of any group who have been taught to harbor unforgiveness toward another for current, or historic injustices, should solemnly consider the words of Jesus: “For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: but if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses” (Matthew 6:14-15).
Social justice is leading many to see large white populations around the world as communities to be diversified rather than evangelized.

But God has not called our Church to diversify people groups, but to reach diverse people groups with the wonderful news of reconciliation and restoration through the shed blood of Jesus.

It should be clear that social justice is not merely anti-white, or anti-west, or anti-capitalist or anti-patriarchy or anti-marriage, it is anti-Christian! Hiding within its wooden belly is Marxism, Catholicism and Spiritualism."

IN the NEWS - National Softening Towards Sin

"According to a new study from George Barna’s Cultural Research Center, “Americans are changing their understanding and definition of ‘sin,’” which, the article says, “signals a dramatic shift in the nation’s moral compass and builds on earlier reports documenting widespread confusion about the existence and nature of sin.” 

Not surprisingly, younger generations showed more moral confusion than their older counterparts.

Some of the study highlights include:“Fewer than half of all adults—just 43%—believe that sinful behavior stems from a wicked, corrupt heart.”
“Three out of every five adults (62%) said that sin can be understood as ‘an act of disobedience against God.’” (Interestingly, people were more comfortable with using the word “disobedience” rather than “rebellion,” showing a softening toward the seriousness of sin.)
“About six out of 10 (61%) indicated that sin produces guilt, and such guilt is ‘often worse than the sin’ that caused it.” Yikes!"

IN the NEWS - Climate Sunday in Pakistan

"With each passing day, the movement to reclaim Sunday as the day of rest is gaining momentum across the world. 

What was once seen as merely a Christian observance is now being embraced as an environmental solution. In a striking development, even nations outside the Christian world are embracing Sunday laws.

Pakistan, a Muslim-majority nation where Islam is the state religion, has now implemented its own Sunday restrictions. 

On November 4, 2025, the High Court of Lahore—the capital and largest city of the Punjab province—ordered the complete shutdown of all commercial activity on Sundays as part of an initiative to combat severe air pollution.

The News International, one of Pakistan’s largest English-language daily newspapers, published the following report on November 4, 2025:
• “LHC Justice Shahid Karim heard a set of petitions on

environmental issues and ordered the complete closure of commercial activities on Sundays and strict enforcement.” 
• “Breathing toxic air has catastrophic health consequences, with the WHO warning that strokes, heart disease, lung cancer, and respiratory diseases can be triggered by prolonged exposure.” 

This decision is yet another sign of the growing worldwide appeal of Sunday rest. It reflects the growing interest that sees Sunday as the key in which the world unites under a common theme. What we are witnessing in Pakistan is part of a larger, coordinated movement unfolding across the world—uniting people of every nation around Sunday rest in the name of health, family, spirituality, and environmental preservation.
As more governments and faith communities embrace Sunday as the answer to the world’s moral and ecological decline, they are advancing the prophetic scenario outlined in Revelation.

“The powers of earth, uniting to war against the commandments of God, will decree that all, ‘both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond,’ [Revelation 13:16.] shall conform to the customs of the church by the observance of the false sabbath. "In a dark MRI scanner outside Tokyo, a volunteer watches a video of someone hurling themselves off a waterfall. Nearby, a computer digests the brain activity pulsing across millions of neurons. A few moments later, the machine produces a sentence: “A person jumps over a deep water fall on a mountain ridge.”

No one typed those words. No one spoke them. They came directly from the volunteer’s brain activity.

That’s the startling premise of “mind captioning,” a new method developed by Tomoyasu Horikawa and colleagues at NTT Communication Science Laboratories in Japan. Published this week in Science Advances, the system uses a blend of brain imaging and artificial intelligence to generate textual descriptions of what people are seeing — or even visualizing with their mind’s eye — based only on their neural patterns.
As Nature journalist Max Kozlov put it, the technique “generates descriptive sentences of what a person is seeing or picturing in their mind using a read-out of their brain activity, with impressive accuracy.”

To build the system, Horikawa had to bridge two universes: the intricate geometry of human thought and the sprawling semantic web that language models use to understand words.

The researchers also made a surprising discovery when they scrambled the word order of the generated captions. The quality and accuracy dropped sharply, showing that the AI wasn’t just picking up on keywords but grasping something deeper — perhaps the structure of meaning itself, the relationships between objects, actions, and context.

Even when subjects were only imagining the videos, the AI generated accurate sentences describing them, sometimes identifying the right clip out of a hundred. That result hinted at a powerful idea: the brain uses similar representations for seeing and visual recall, and those representations can be translated into language without ever engaging the traditional “language areas” of the brain.

The ethical implications of this technology are hard to ignore. If machines can turn brain activity into words, even imperfectly, who controls that information?"

The greater the distance between them

Papal Notes - New Ecumenical Charter

"Pope Leo XIV received the members of the Joint Committee of the Council of European Bishops’ Conferences (CCEE) and the Conference of European Churches (CEC) on Thursday, November 6, 2025. 

This was a gathering of Roman Catholics, Orthodox, and Protestants as they came together at the Vatican for the signing of a new Ecumenical Charter, which was presented to the Pope.
For centuries, the Protestant churches of Europe stood as witnesses against the errors of Rome. Yet, in this moment, Protestant and Catholic leaders have signed a “joint statement” affirming a shared mission and “joint witness of Christianity.”
Revelation 13:3 states that “all the world wondered after the beast.” 

This “wondering” signifies admiration, cooperation, and the gradual surrender to the leadership of the Papacy. 

Bible prophecy describes a global religious system that unites the nations of the earth under a single moral and spiritual head. This new Ecumenical Charter embodies that very movement—bringing together the major world religions under Rome’s leadership in the name of Christian love and cooperation."

Creation Moment 11/8/2025 -"Dealbreaker"?

For thus saith the LORD that created the heavens; God Himself that formed the earth and made it; He hath established it, He created it not in vain, He formed it to be inhabited: I am the LORD; and there is none else.

"Christian researcher notes that creation is an important issue for
youth in the church—and even sometimes determines whether they stay or leave.

She says that these ‘church children’ can’t even be assumed to believe that there is a God. Her survey found that the four top questions in their minds concerned such basic things as God’s existence and character.

The religious beliefs of Generation Y (born after 1980), which showed that less than 50% of that group even believed that there was any sort of God, and that the single biggest reason that this generation gave for loss of faith was “doing further study, especially science”.

Our children need to be grounded from an early age with quality information that ‘evolution-proofs’ them, with repetitive reinforcement and encouragement all along their path." CMI

Creation Moment 11/7/2025 - Yellow Tomato Mystery Solved [Romans 8:22]

As Paul says: For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now. Romans 8:22

Even tomato coloring which impacts nutritional value. Interesting how interconnected all these genetic pathways and mechanisms are....like a DESIGNED system breaking down, as if it "groaneth".

The Yellow ones are still nutritional....just not as much as the red ones.

The gene encodes the isopentenyl diphosphate isomerase enzyme, which maintains the delicate balance between IPP and DMAPP, two essential C5 molecules in isoprenoid synthesis.

When one amino acid (Serine) is replaced by another (Arginine) at position 126, this balance is thrown off, weakening enzyme performance, hindering chromoplast formation, and drastically reducing lycopene, the red pigment that gives tomatoes their color. The findings uncover a key molecular mechanism behind tomato pigmentation and pinpoint Ser126 as a critical site for enzyme function, suggesting new possibilities for enhancing fruit quality through genetic approaches.

The color of a tomato depends heavily on the buildup of carotenoids, natural pigments that support both 

--plant reproduction 

--and human health. 

These pigments form through the isoprenoid pathway, which relies on the precise conversion between two molecular building blocks, isopentenyl pyrophosphate (IPP) and dimethylallyl pyrophosphate (DMAPP). This conversion is carried out by the enzyme IDI1, ensuring a steady flow of metabolites for pigment production.

When this process is disrupted, it can alter chromoplast development and pigment levels, changing both 

--the fruit’s color 

--and its nutritional value. 

Although scientists have made great progress in decoding carotenoid biosynthesis, the specific amino acids that govern IDI1’s activity have been difficult to identify, prompting a closer look at how YFT3 contributes to this essential pathway.

Identification of the YFT3 Mutation

A research team from Shanghai Jiao Tong University has identified a

single-point mutation in the YFT3 gene responsible for yellow fruit coloration in tomatoes. Their findings, published in the journal Horticulture Research, reveal that the mutation disrupts a critical enzyme in the isoprenoid pathway, impairing carotenoid accumulation. 

Through map-based cloning, molecular assays, and in vivo functional analyses, the team demonstrated that a Ser126Arg substitution in YFT3 undermines its enzymatic activity, providing new insight into the molecular control of fruit pigmentation.

The researchers discovered that the yellow-fruited tomato mutant (yft3) carries a recessive allele of YFT3, encoding a mutated version of SlIDI1, a plastid-localized isomerase responsible for converting IPP to DMAPP. 

The mutation—an A→C transversion at nucleotide 2117—leads to a Ser126Arg substitution. 

Despite unchanged protein levels and plastid localization, enzymatic activity was drastically reduced.

Functional complementation restored red color, while knockout lines mimicked the yellow phenotype, confirming YFT3’s essential role.

Molecular and Structural Insights

Detailed expression analyses showed upregulation of carotenoid

pathway genes (DXS, DXR, HDR, PSY1, CRTISO, CYCB, CYP97A, NCED) in yft3 and CRISPR knockout lines. However, biochemical assays revealed severely reduced lycopene and total carotenoid levels, indicating that the gene upregulation could not compensate for enzymatic deficiency. 

Molecular docking revealed that the Ser126 mutation alters the active site conformation, impairs Mg²⁺ cofactor binding, and diminishes catalytic efficiency. These findings suggest Ser126 is critical for the correct positioning and function of substrate-enzyme interactions in carotenoid biosynthesis. Moreover, the impaired chromoplast ultrastructure in yft3 and YFT3-KO lines further underscores YFT3‘s role in fruit color development and quality.

This discovery holds significant potential for agricultural biotechnology and breeding programs. Understanding the role of YFT3 in regulating the isoprenoid pathway offers breeders a precise genetic handle to enhance fruit pigmentation and carotenoid content—key traits for market appeal and nutrition."

The error of universal salvation is the belief that in the end everyone will be saved, regardless of faith, repentance, or obedience to God. This teaching contradicts Scripture, denies the reality of eternal separation from God for the unrepentant, and undermines the reality of divine judgment. 

The Catholic doctrine of purgatory, while claiming to purify souls after death, feeds into this false assurance by teaching that even those who die in sin can eventually be cleansed and enter Heaven through suffering and, of course, through the prayers, masses, and penance of the living. 

In this way, purgatory eliminates the Biblical call to repentance in

this life and replaces it with a false hope of eventual universal redemption.
