Ark of Hope?

"The Ark of Hope is the holy grail of environmentalism, containing the green ten commandments and a pile of new age mystical leaflets.  Here are some interesting tidbits regarding this consecrated casket and its unholy contents.

The Ark of Hope was designed by Burlington, Vermont, artist and social activist Sally Linder.

The top panel—like a quadrilateral COEXIST bumper sticker—is surrounded with symbols of faith from all world religions, along with symbols of children and animals of the world.

It has four brass rings attached to the four corners of the Ark. Two 96 inch long poles are inserted through these rings in a manner reminiscent of Exodus 25:10-21. I hope by now you are aware that this thing is a direct mockery of the Ark of the Covenant detailed in the Bible. Oh… and the poles are pretty special. The 96 inch carrying poles are unicorn horns which render evil ineffective.  I’m not sure where they got those.

As you may recall (I hope you do), the real Ark was carried on the shoulders of Levites, men consecrated by God for the task of moving it around.
Instead of Levites carrying this fake “Ark” it was carried 350 miles by women—from Burlington to New York City in September 2001.  Take that, you chauvinistic Levites!  Journeying ..Their destination was the United Nations headquarters, where the Ark was exhibited in January–February of 2002.  So what’s in this thing?

No ark would be complete without the Ten Commandments, right?  Or maybe a counterfeit of them…. Reverently placed in this Ark is the holiest document of the environmentalist movement—The Earth Charter. What’s that? It’s a 2400-word document which was carefully drafted by well-known geopolitical globalist individuals such as Mikhail Gorbechev, Steven Rockefeller, and Maurice Strong over a period of six years.  Officially launched on June 29, 2000, at a ceremony in Hague, Netherlands, The Earth Charter has become the geopolitical Magna Carta of environmentalism and social justice. Conspicuously absent from this document is any reference to God, creation, or Jesus.

This "new global ethic" is designed to supplant the Gospel of Christ and replace the Ten Commandments.  In Maurice Strong's own words, “The real goal of the Earth Charter is that it will in fact become like the Ten Commandments."  Steven Rockefeller said, “No nation state can exist any longer as a separate island capable of providing in isolation opportunity and security for its people.  Local and global security can only be founded on the principles of global partnership and the sharing of sovereignty, leading to the creation of new systems of global governance" (Ecology, Religion, and Global Governance, Steven C. Rockefeller).
New systems of global governance….  Isn’t that exactly what Revelation 13 tells us is coming?

But back to the Ark of Hope…. in this Ark are a couple thousand Temenos Books. Each book, crafted from wood or cloth, wire or paper, holds pages of sacred images and text reflecting each contributor’s response to the Earth Charter. The word Temenos represents a sacred magical, protected space and is based on the new age ideas of psychiatrist Carl Jung.  The makers of this ark believe that the “artistic process can inspire people to a deeper commitment to Earth and to the Earth Charter principles.”
Translation: They want you to make a New Covenant a green one this time.

In Summary: Taken from the Ark of Hope website is this paragraph. “The Ark of Hope, carrying the vision of the Earth Charter belongs to Earth and humankind. Its life grows when it is shared. It is hoped that nations around the world will bring the Ark to their people, continuing to introduce the Earth Charter to audiences globally, spreading hope and the recognition of the interdependence of justice, and economic and ecological integrity that together build a culture of peace.”

73rd Psalm Breakdown Series: 16

When I thought to know this, it was too painful for me;
Psalm 73:16

"Verse 16. When I thought to know this, it was too painful for me. The thought of scandalizing the family of God he could not bear, and yet his inward thoughts seethed and fermented, and caused
an intolerable anguish within.
A smothered grief is hard to endure. The triumph of conscience which compels us to keep the wolf hidden beneath our own garments, does not forbid its gnawing at our vitals.

Suppressed fire in the bones rages more fiercely than if it could gain a vent at the mouth. Those who know Asaph's dilemma will pity him as none others can."

Creation Moment 10/3/2017 - Debunked

So God created man in his own image,...Genesis 1:27
Massive Genetic Study Purporting Human Evolution Debunked

"The recent publication of a research paper evoked such headlines as “Massive genetic study shows how humans are evolving.” Despite the improvement of health-care technology, many other studies indicate that chronic disease among humans is increasing worldwide—and that mutations are commonly associated with disease, not upward evolutionary improvement.

A closer analysis of this new study shows that its evolutionary conclusions are deeply flawed and humans are actually devolving. This is exactly what modern biomedical data shows and the Bible indicates is happening due to the effects of the Fall where the whole creation is subject to corruption.

In the highly theoretical study of human evolution, scientists postulate that mystical and mostly undefinable selective pressures operate to somehow mold the genome over time leading to upward improvement and change. It’s claimed that the effects of these selective processes can be statistically detected when analyzing large genetic data sets.
In this recent study, scientists analyzed large biomedical and genetic datasets of common human DNA variants in the United Kingdom, including those with data on longevity looking for selective effects. Not surprisingly, they could hardly find any effects of alleged selection except for a few disease-related genetic variants that correlated with human longevity. In summarizing their lack of success, the authors state, “We only found a few individual genetic variants, almost all of which were identified in previous studies.”

But what about the data linking some variants with life span, including one odd association between delayed fertility and longevity? The problem with these results is that they provide no evolutionary support for the scientist’s naturalistic presuppositions. In the fundamental definition of evolution, progress is not defined by longevity per se but is based on reproductive success as an indicator of fitness. This was noted by one evolutionary author who summarized the research in the prestigious journal Nature. He says, “This is not, by itself, evidence of evolution at work,” and, “In evolutionary terms, having a long life isn’t as important as having a reproductively fruitful one.”

In reality, there are a variety of serious problems with the conclusions made in this paper. Most  importantly, the researchers were analyzing common genetic variants in living, generally healthy humans, so it’s not surprising that very few negative associations with human health were found.

If the researchers had been analyzing rare genetic variants, they would have uncovered many associations with disease—a fact that is well-known among biomedical geneticists and documented in a variety of research papers.
These rare variants are evidence of harmful mutations that have occurred in the human genome since the original creation and are commonly associated with an overall loss of information and genome deterioration over time. The human genome is not evolving and improving over time, but instead is in a devolving process referred to as genetic entropy as documented by Cornell University geneticist John Sanford." ICR

 The Creation

God created man in His own image. Here is no mystery. There is no ground for the supposition that man was evolved by slow degrees of development from the lower forms of animal or vegetable life. Such teaching
lowers the great work of the Creator to the level of man's narrow, earthly conceptions.
God designs that the Sabbath shall direct the minds of men to the contemplation of His created works. Nature speaks to their senses, declaring that there is a living God, the Creator, the Supreme Ruler of all.
God saw that a Sabbath was essential for man, even in Paradise. He needed to lay aside his own interests and pursuits for one day of the seven, that he might more fully contemplate the works of God and meditate upon His power and goodness.
The holy pair were not only children under the fatherly care of God but students receiving instruction from the all-wise Creator.
The mysteries of the visible universe-- afforded them an exhaustless source of instruction and delight.
By the word of the Lord were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of His mouth. For He spake, and it was; He commanded, and it stood fast. Psalm 33:6,9

Babylonian 666 (Interesting)

Nebuchadnezzar the king made an image of gold, whose height was threescore cubits, and the breadth thereof six cubits: he set it up in the plain of Dura, in the province of Babylon.
Daniel 3:1

BABYLON-666-(roots of the beast's false worship)

Babylonians had a pantheon of 36 gods who ruled 10 days each.
36x10=360 days (their yearly calendar)

If you add 1 through 36 consecutively (i.e. 1+2+3+4,etc.) = 666

Their supreme god Marduk was NOT counted among the 36 since he ruled them. His was the sun god and ruled over the others. As a result his number was 666.

The priests wore gold amulets with 666 for Marduk, the sun god. Color of the sun is gold.

Babylon was the color gold in Daniel.

Nebuchadnezzar set a statue that was 60x6 cubits (=360)
360 was the number of days in the yearly calendar
Marduk, the god of the 36 gods who ruled each 10 days of the year, was 666
The statue was made of gold...it was likely a statue of Marduk

*The Faithful Remnant- (notice they don't worship the "gods', hence the statue was Marduk representing the 36 gods who represent 666)

There are certain Jews whom thou hast set over the affairs of the province of Babylon, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego; these men, O king, have not regarded thee: they serve not thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up.
Daniel 3:12
*Who were the accusers to the government about the Remnant?--the "Chaldeans", religious leaders
Wherefore at that time certain Chaldeans came near, and accused the Jews.
Daniel 3:8

IN the NEWS - Losing the Gospel

Below is a story that illustrates how Christians have LOST SIGHT OF THE BIBLICAL GOSPEL and have supplanted it with the focus of the secular world, marching to their drumbeat of their topics of the times....(actually, if you pay close attention, it sounds like indoctrination).

"Student Christian Movement launches Green Challenges
The SCM Green Challenge is a campaign to get students and SCM supporters to explore their personal impact on the planet. There will be points for completing different challenges and a leaderboard of the top three competitors each month. Everyone who enters will be given their total score each month by email, so they can know how far off the leaderboard they are. Every month will have a 'Stage Winner' and at the end of the six months, we will have a prize for the top three!"

IN the NEWS - Catholic Colbert no Lot

And delivered just Lot,
vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked:For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds...
2 Peter 2:7,8
Obviously the self professed Catholic (yet very much aligned politically with the secular far Left) Colbert doesn't have a very vexed soul over the filth on Netflix....

"The creator of the new Netflix cartoon, called animated kiddie porn by pro-family advocates, was featured on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.
Co-creator Nick Kroll visited the late night talk show Wednesday to promote his latest project, “Big Mouth.” The show is about adolescents awkwardly going through puberty and discovering the sexual
world around them.

Colbert introduced Kroll with great fanfare and eventually asked about the show. “Is this the kind of show that parents would sit down and watch with their children?”
The question itself got mocking laughs.
Kroll smiled and said jokingly, “Steve, I’m going to leave that up to each and every individual parent.” Then he admitted, “It’s very dirty.”

Big Mouth” features graphic masturbation, nocturnal emissions, “puberty fairies,” a giant condom creature, and “aching pubes.” A personified masturbation pillow falls in love with its abuser and wants to be more than just a “fling.”
Kroll got a lot of laughs with the line that his show “is kind of like the sex-ed video I wished I had gotten to see, but also, like, filthy.”

Colbert told his audience that they had a clip to preview “Big Mouth,” but CBS told him it was “too vulgar to show.” The late night host said his staff censored it heavily, and yet CBS still said it was too vulgar to show.
So we’re going to show it anyway,” Colbert quipped, to more laughter.

The clip was blurred and almost completely bleeped out.
It’s so much better — and worse — that what you blurted out,” Kroll quipped back.

The profanity and crudeness makes it unsuitable for a younger audience, and the fact (that) it’s about literal kids going through puberty makes it unsuitable for an older audience,” wrote another poster.
After Colbert promised a donation to the Puerto Rico hurricane relief for every celebrity that posts their 13-year-old “pubescent” picture on social media, he made the sign of the cross.
Big Mouth’s” entire series of 10 episodes is to be released Friday on Netflix."

Papal Notes - Meddling in "Journalism"

"Given the strong divisions sparked and fueled by “fake news,” Pope Francis is highlighting the importance of truth in his message for World Communications Day.
The message will call for studying the causes and consequences of baseless information and will promote “professional journalism,” which always seeks the truth and therefore peace and
understanding in the world, the Vatican Secretariat for Communication said, announcing the theme
“‘The truth will set you free’: Fake news and journalism for peace” will be the theme of the church’s celebration of World Communications Day 2018. The day’s theme is announced every year on Sept. 29, the feast of the archangels Michael, Gabriel and Raphael.
With so many key players in the world of social media, internet and politics beginning to face the phenomenon, it said, the church, too, wishes to offer a contribution.”
The pope’s message for the day will propose “a reflection on the causes, the logic and the consequences of disinformation in the media,” and it will try to help “promote professional journalism, which always seeks the truth, and therefore a journalism of peace that promotes understanding between people.”

Most dioceses will celebrate World Communications Day 2018 on May 13, the Sunday before Pentecost. The Vatican will release the pope’s message for the observance on January 24, the feast of St Francis de Sales, patron of journalists." CatholicHerald

73rd Psalm Breakdown Series: 15

If I say, I will speak thus; behold, I should offend against the generation of thy children.
Psalm 73:15

"Verse 15. If I say, I will speak thus. It is not always wise to speak one's thoughts; if they remain within, they will only injure ourselves; but once uttered, their mischief may be great. From such a man as the
psalmist, the utterance which his discontent suggested would have been a heavy blow and deep discouragement to the whole brotherhood. He dared not, therefore, come to such a resolution, but paused, and would not decide to declare his feelings.

It was well, for in his case second thoughts were by far the best.
I should offend against the generation of thy children. I should scandalize them, grieve them, and perhaps cause them to offend also. We ought to look at the consequences of our speech to all others, and especially to the church of God.

Would to God that, like Asaph, men would bridle their tongues."

Satan's rebellion was to be a lesson to the universe through all coming ages--a perpetual testimony to the nature of sin and its terrible results. The working out of Satan's rule, its effects upon both men and angels, would show what must be the fruit of setting aside the divine authority.

Amos 8:11

"The Canaanites worshiped Baal as the sun god and as the storm god—he is usually depicted holding a lightning bolt—who defeated enemies and produced crops....Baal dies every summer under the
excessive heat and drought. Baal however, with the help of sexual and bloody rituals, comes back to life to defeat Mot for the cooler autumn weather and the fall rain. Thus the chaotic weather was blamed on the struggle between Baal and Mot, which could only be pacified through cultic prostitution on the one hand and strict asceticism on the other. Thus, in addition to sexual abandon, the worship of Baal also incorporated harsh ascetic practices into their nature worship as well. Ecstatic pleasure and bloody pain were used to propitiate the nature gods for the sake of fair weather (1 Kings 18:25-29).

73rd Psalm Breakdown Series: 14

For all the day long have I been plagued, and chastened every morning.
Psalm 73:14

"Verse 14. For all the day long have I been plagued. He was smitten from the moment he woke to the time he went to bed. His griefs were not only continued, but renewed with every opening day.

And chastened every morning. This was a vivid contrast to the lot of the ungodly. There were crowns for the reprobates and crosses for the elect. Strange that the saints should sigh and the sinners sing. Rest was given to the disturbers, and yet peace was denied to the peace makers.
The downcast seer was in a muse and a maze. The affairs of mankind appeared to him to be in a fearful tangle; how could it be permitted by a just ruler that things should be so turned upside down, and the whole course of justice dislocated."

Book Review: The Jesuit Agenda

(short) Book Review: A book that may be of some interest....
(Review by LHT)

The Jesuit Agenda
by the Editors at Lighthouse Trails
published by Lighthouse Trails

Today, as part of this Satanic scheme, the evangelical/Protestant church is being drawn seductively into the Roman Catholic church, largely through what we call “The Jesuit Agenda.”

Since its foundation, the Catholic papacy has been zealous and often brutal in its endeavor to establish the kingdom of the Pope (of whom it is believed within the Catholic church is headed by Jesus Christ). In fact, the Pope has been referred to as the “Vicar of Christ.” This determination was witnessed during the Inquisition where countless thousands, if not millions, died cruelly for resisting Rome......At a gathering for “world peace” in Fatima, Jesuit priest Jacques Dupuis  stated:
The religion of the future will be a general converging of religions in a universal Christ that will satisfy all. The other religious traditions in the world are part of God’s plan for humanity and the Holy Spirit is operating and present in Buddhist, Hindu and other sacred writings of Christian and non-Christian faiths as well. The universality of God’s kingdom permits this, and this is nothing more than a diversified form of sharing in the same mystery of salvation.
Fatima is just another avenue through which the Jesuit Agenda is being accomplished.
Perhaps the best way to understand the Jesuit Agenda that undermines biblical Christianity is to recognize the move toward a so-called “social gospel” that unites the religions of the world for the cause of peace. Like mysticism, this social gospel is a vehicle through which all religions will be united. Who would have believed this could have happened to the Protestant evangelical church? But we have already been warned in Scripture that Satan’s ministers are “transformed as the ministers of righteousness” (2 Corinthians 11:15).

Health Note - Onions

Beloved,
I wish above all things that thou mayest ...be in health,....
3 John 1:2

"Onions are a nutrient-dense food, meaning that while they are low in calories they are high in beneficial nutrients like vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. Like garlic, it is a member of the lily family.

The reason that the onion is so much more active in its raw state than when cooked, is that it contains a variety of organic sulphur compounds, contained in a volatile oil, that provide the health benefits. These are partly destroyed by heat.

Cancer: Allium vegetables have been studied extensively in relation to cancer, especially stomach and colorectal cancers. Their beneficial and preventative effects are likely due in part to their rich organosulfur compounds. Although the exact mechanism by which these compounds inhibit cancer is unknown, possible hypothesis include the inhibition of tumor growth and mutagenesis and prevention of free radical formation.

Sleep and mood: Folate, found in onions, may help with depression by preventing an excess of homocysteine from forming in the body, which can prevent blood and other nutrients from reaching the brain. Excess homocysteine interferes with the production of the feel-good hormones serotonin, dopamine, and norepinephrine, which regulate not only mood, but also sleep and appetite as well.

Skin and hair: Adequate intake of vitamin C is needed for the building and maintenance of collagen, which provides structure to skin and hair."

The "Really" File - (Terasem "Faith")

For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God.
1 Corinthians 3:19

"The latest New Age religion claims we can digitally record our thoughts and feelings, store them in a “mindfile” and one day use them to assemble a digital copy of ourselves for future use.....this new trans-religion, which is how New Agers refer to any of their religions that can be practiced alongside a person’s own beliefs (even though the founder has an ashram and statue of Buddha in his backyard where yoga is practiced).

Called the Terasem Faith, its followers are dedicated to studying and raising awareness about “personal cyberconsciousness” – or the creation of “mindfiles.”

These files are made by writing down or recording a video of a thought, memory or feeling with great detail, then uploading it to the Terasem website where the files are stored on servers located in their two headquarters in Vermont and Florida. Terasem promises to protect the files for long-term future use by a software program that has yet to be created that will make it possible to upload them into an artificial body 500 years from now.

No, I’m not making this up – and yes, people are actually buying this service – 32,000 so far (or so the creators say).

The idea is the brainchild of Bina and Martine Rothblatt who were inspired by the Octavia Butler sci-
fi novel “Parable of the Sower” which was about a new religion called by the Greek name Terasem which means “earthseed”.

Martine, a transsexual businesswoman who came into the world as Martin, founded the successful satellite radio company Sirius XM in 1990.

Their new faith is organized around four core tenets:
*life is purposeful;
*death is optional;
*God is technological;
*and love is essential.

The Rothblatts have turned over the reins of their new church to their son, Gabriel, who was managing a local pizza restaurant until his appointment as pastor in 2011.

Terasem also has rituals which they say are important to keep the movement going “until all of consciousness is connected and all the cosmos is controlled.”

These include setting aside one day a week for “Reading, Exercise, Sensuality and Transcendental Meditation.”

When TIME visited Rothblatt’s headquarters in Melbourne Beach, Florida, they found the church’s mindfile operation to be housed in the basement of a cottage with two strange looking satellite dishes in the backyard. They were told the dishes were meant to transport mindfiles
From the "Really" File
into space with the belief that they might one day reach an alien species that actually wants them.

Lori Rhodes, who helps run Terasem Movement Inc., said her sister warned her not to get involved with the organization because it looked like a cult, but she decided to over-ride her.
” . . .(A)ny religion starts with just a few members,” she said. And I guess organized religions is cultish. Some people call it the rapture of the nerds.”

REALLY?

Creation Moment 10/1/2017 - Hefner / Darwin Connection

"National Review Online today offers a 1966 column by William F. Buckley Jr. outlining that philosophy and its consequences.
Mr. Hefner’s Playboy is most widely known for the raciness of its prose and the total exposure of the female form. It is more than that, Mr. Hefner insists — and many agree, including professors and ministers and sociologists. It is a movement of sorts, and its bible is an apparently endless series, published monthly by Mr. Hefner, entitled “The Playboy Philosophy,” the key insight of which is that a man’s morality, like his religion, is a personal affair best left to his own conscience.” The phrase sounds harmless enough, and the tendency is to cluck-cluck one’s agreement to it.
The trouble with Hefner’s law is that society is composed of nothing more than a great number of individuals, and if each man’s morality is defined merely to suit himself, then everyone will endure the consequences of the individual’s autonomously defined ethics.
But as scholars including our colleagues Richard Weikart, John West, and Benjamin Wiker have pointed out, the ethical impact of his writing, in The Descent of Man in particular, was to thoroughly undercut any notion that morality could be more than an evolutionary byproduct.

If that was the case, with no transcendent basis, how could morality be other than a “personal affair best left to [an individual’s] own conscience”? The conclusion is inescapable and it has left some of the more candid evolutionists unable to condemn anything, any behavior, any ethical system, at all. As Dr. Weikart has written here:
I have encountered some true believers in Darwinism who have told me that their Darwinian-inspired moral relativism leads them to the conclusion that Hitler was neither right nor wrong. I once held a conversation with a philosophy graduate student who defended moral relativism on Darwinian grounds. After I pressed him to see if he was willing to be relativistic about Hitler’s atrocities, he uttered the stunning words, “Hitler was OK.”
Maybe you think this student was just off his rocker. However, the leading evolutionary biologist and world famous atheist Richard Dawkins took a similar position in an interview, where he was being questioned about his moral relativism. Dawkins asked, “What’s to prevent us from saying Hitler wasn’t right? I mean, that is a genuinely difficult question.” If this is a tough moral question for Dawkins, he should stop pontificating about how religions are “the root of all evil,” especially since he doesn’t believe that evil actually exists!
As far as I know, Hugh Hefner’s libertinism stopped short of Dawkins’s confused refusal to condemn Hitler. Or is it confused? Come to think of it, it is not. If right and wrong are an “illusion fobbed off on us by our genes,” which is simply a modern translation of Darwin’s account in The Descent of Man, the evolutionist who affirms absolutes can do so on only a purely arbitrary basis. Grant him this: Dawkins, when questioned, was honest enough with himself to recognize what lies downstream from his Darwinism. To judge from his writing, Darwin himself was not.
It would have been interesting to put the same question directly to Hugh Hefner, see what he’d have to say. It’s too late now." EN&V
