The Sin of Nadab and Abihu

Audio:

Aaron was silent. The death of his sons, cut down without warning, in so terrible a sin--a sin which he now saw to be the result of his own neglect of duty--wrung the father's heart with anguish, but he gave his feelings no expression. By no manifestation of grief must he seem to sympathize with
sin.
The divine rebuke is upon that false sympathy for the sinner which endeavors to excuse his sin. It is the effect of sin to deaden the moral perceptions, so that the wrongdoer does not realize the enormity of transgression, and without the convicting power of the Holy Spirit he remains in partial blindness to his sin. It is the duty of Christ's servants to show these erring ones their peril.
Those who destroy the effect of the warning by blinding the eyes of sinners to the real character and results of sin often flatter themselves that they thus give evidence of their charity; but they are working directly to oppose and hinder the work of God's Holy Spirit; they are lulling the sinner to rest on the brink of destruction; they are making themselves partakers in his guilt and incurring a fearful responsibility for his impenitence.
Many, many, have gone down to ruin as the result of this false and deceptive sympathy.
If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are. 1 Corinthians 3:17

For Halloween: Hollywood means?...

"Hollywood was named after the Holly Wood, the tree that magic wands are made from.

Pliny tells us that the Holly Tree, if thrown at any animal, even without touching it, had the property of compelling the animal to return and lie down by it. What a magical wood!

Holly Wood was used by the Druids in fabrication of their Magic wands...

Harry's Potter wand, was made from the holly wood.

Everyone loves Mickey Mouse who always uses his magical wand.

We are all under the influence of the Holy Wood - magical wand.

Entertainment is designed in such a way to direct your minds to serve the masters of this world, Hollywood is their tool." LondonForum
P.S.-some say Hollywood comes from the name of local property already named Hollywood Land.. maybe.....but the fact what the name actually means and was used for, is a fitting name. Likely not a coincidence.

"The magi of the ancient world were the priesthood of the Zoroastrian religion. As Plato noted, magic (mageia) refers to "the Magian lore of Zoroaster" ( Alchibiades 1.122). In Zoroastrianism we also
find the mace used. It is used as a spiritual weapon to drive off evil.
Like the Zoroastrian magi, the ancient Roman Flamines or fire-priests, also carried such bundles of twigs in their hands.
Iamblichus (c. A.D. 250-325), one of the more important Neoplatonic philosophers, discussed magic in general in his On the Mysteries. In it he mentions the prophetess holding a staff or wand, invoking the divinity. (Mysteries of the Egyptians, chapter 7.)

Holly...Holly is the whitest of all woods,.... It was considered sacred by the druids, and played a part in the magic of the Greeks and Romans. It was especially suitable for divination. In early Europe, holly and other thorny plants were believed to repel all evil spirits. The same apotropaic properties were noted by Pliny the Elder (23-79 A.D.)."

Baal's Halloween Connection

Halloween and Baal Worship:
"The Druids also celebrated the festival of Beltane. The word Beltane (Beltaine, Beltinne, Beltain, Beiltein) literally means the “fires of Bel.” Bel is the same god called Baal, found over 80 times in the Bible. The Lord condemns Baal worship probably more than any other false “god.”
“…then the Druids lit the Baal-Tinne, the holy, goodly fire of Baal.”

“The god whom the Druids worshiped was Baal, as the blazing Baal-fires show, and . . . children were offered in sacrifice to Baal.”
Source: (Hislop, Alexander. The Two Babylons, p. 232)

The original Halloween was a hellish night of Baal worship and child sacrifice. And most of our current Halloween customs derived directly from Baal rituals!" TheParadigm

Now Jehoram the son of Ahab began to reign over Israel...
And he wrought evil in the sight of the LORD; but not like his father, and like his mother: for he put away the image of Baal that his father had made.

Book Review: HALLOWEEN! A Warning To Christian Parents

(short) Book Review: A book that may be of some interest....
(Review by Light House Trails)

HALLOWEEN! A Warning To Christian Parents
by Johanna Michaelsen
Pages 18 Published by Lighthouse Trails

This warning by former New Ager Johanna Michaelsen is available
as a Lighthouse Trails booklet.
Ephesians 5:1 admonishes us to be imitators of God. Can you picture the Lord Jesus dressing up as Satan, or as one of the demons He cast out that week, or perhaps as a Druid priest, just because it was the Feast of Samhain and His disciples were giving a nifty party that night in honor of the tradition?
Or can you see the apostles disguising themselves as temple prostitutes or as worshipers of the god Moloch, to whom the Canaanites (and even the Israelites in their darker days) sacrificed their children?
You might not know too much about Witches or Satanists, but I guarantee you that most kids do in today’s computerized, Internet, social-media world.

Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you. 2 Corinthians 6:17

From whence stems the Name Halloween

The History of the Name:
"The term Halloween is shortened from All Hallows’ Eve, as it is the eve of “All Hallows’ Day”, which is now also known as All Saints’ Day.

It was a day of religious festivities in various northern European
Pagan traditions, until Popes Gregory III and Gregory IV moved the old Christian feast of All Saints’ Day from May 13 (which had itself been the date of a pagan holiday, the Feast of the Lemures) to November 1.

In the ninth century, the Church measured the day as starting at sunset, in accordance with the Florentine calendar. Although All Saints’ Day is now considered to occur one day after Halloween, the two holidays were, at that time, celebrated on the same day.

Liturgically, the Church traditionally celebrated that day as the Vigil of All Saints, and, until 1970, a day of fasting as well. Like other vigils, it was celebrated on the previous day if it fell on a Sunday, although secular celebrations of the holiday remained on the 31st. The Vigil was suppressed in 1955, but was later restored in the post-Vatican II calendar." TheParadigm
Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead,
nor print any marks upon you: I am the LORD.
Leviticus 19:8

From whence stems Trick or Treat?

From the Smithsonian....
"The Celts believed that, as we moved from one year to the next, the dead and the living would overlap, and demons would roam the earth again. So dressing up as demons was a defense mechanism. If you encountered a real demon roaming the Earth, they would think
you were one of them.

Fast forward to when the Catholic Church was stealing everybody’s holidays and trying to convert them. They turned the demon dress-up party into “All Hallows Eve,” “All Soul’s Day,” and “All Saints Day” and had people dress up as saints, angels and still a few demons.

As for the trick or treating, or “guising” (from “disguising”), traditions, beginning in the Middle-Ages, children and sometimes poor adults would dress up in the aforementioned costumes and go around door to door during Hallowmas begging for food or money in exchange for songs and prayers, often said on behalf of the dead.  This was called “souling” and the children were called “soulers”.

The term “trick or treat” dates back to 1927."

From  J.KerbyAnderson......
"Occultists taught that spirits and ghosts left the grave during this night and would seek out warmth in their previous homes. Villagers, fearful of the possibility of being visited by the ghosts of
past occupants, would dress up in costumes to scare the spirits on their way. They would also leave food and other treats at their door to appease the spirits so they would not destroy their homes or crops but instead move on down the road. That is the real reason why kids dress up in costumes today and go door-to-door seeking treats."

For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing,..

And the earth brought forth...tree ....
Genesis 1:12
"....the problem of “early complexity,” and how as we peer back in time — whether in the geographic strata or by phylogenetic reconstruction — things don’t get simpler.

This makes no sense in light of evolution ...... a specimen of a fossil tree from northwest China, revealing and ancient, and highly complex, just makes it worse.

The oldest fossil trees belong to the Cladoxylopsida. Their water-conducting system is a ring of hundreds of individual strands of xylem (water-conducting cells) that are interconnected in many places.

Using anatomically preserved trunks, we show how these trees could grow to a large size by the production of large amounts of soft tissues and new wood around the individual xylem strands and by a controlled structural collapse at the expanding base. We have discovered a complex tree growth strategy unique in Earth history, but with some similarity to that of living palms.
This raises a provoking question: why are the very oldest trees the most complicated?"

The Tabernacle and Its Services

Devotion to God and a spirit of sacrifice were the first requisites in preparing a dwelling place for the Most High.

The holy places made with hands were to be "figures of the true," "patterns of things in the heavens" (Hebrews 9:24, 23)--a miniature representation of the heavenly temple where Christ, our great High Priest, after offering His life as a sacrifice, was to minister in the sinner's behalf.
Once a year, on the great Day of Atonement, the priest entered the most holy place for the cleansing of the sanctuary. The work there performed completed the yearly round of ministration....once each year their minds were carried forward to the closing events of the great controversy between Christ and Satan, the final purification of the universe from sin and sinners.
The law of God, enshrined within the ark,.... That law pronounced death upon the transgressor; but above the law was the mercy seat, upon which the presence of God was revealed, and from which, by virtue of the atonement, pardon was granted to the repentant sinner.... all but a dim reflection of the glories of the temple of God in heaven, the great center of the work for man's redemption.
Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us. Hebrews 9:24

POLL Ranks 10 Commandments with British Public

".....the survey was carried out by YouGov and revealed Brits’ opinions on the importance of each Commandment.
The two which the most survey participants (93 percent) said were still important were the Commandments against murder and against stealing.

Below these, 87 percent of those surveyed said not bearing false witness was still relevant and 73 percent said not committing adultery was still an important Commandment to follow.

Next, 69 percent said honoring one’s father and mother is still important, while 61 percent affirmed the relevance of not coveting someone else’s possessions.

As far as the other four Commandments, however, only a relatively small percentage of those surveyed said they were still important today.

Thirty-one percent said that not worshipping idols is still important, 23 percent said the same for using God’s name in vain, 20 percent affirmed the importance of not worshipping other gods, and 19 percent still believe in keeping the Sabbath as a holy day to God.

Interestingly, the Commandments which have apparently become less important in peoples’ beliefs today are the ones that most are most foundational to a right relationship with God.
"The four Commandments that do not have a majority of Brits saying they are still important are the ones most related to the practice of religion. Unsurprisingly, it is on these Commandments that opinion between Christians and the non-religious differs the most," said those who conducted the survey." BCN

From Peasant to Throne - French Reformation

....but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.
And they that understand among the people shall instruct many:
yet they shall fall by the sword, and by flame, by captivity, and by spoil, many days.
Daniel 11:32,33

"In France the Reformation not only opposed infidelity and superstition, but it had to rise up against a new foe of immorality. The sin in this regard in the Church in France was vast. Such wickedness rose from the peasant to the throne itself. In the Alps of that country lived a family named Farel, who, amidst the immorality, a reformer would emerge.

In 1510 Farel arrived in Paris. Here Louis the XII had called the French clergy to meet at Tours. The
Farel
conference was to decide if Louis should wage war on the Pope and enforce the decrees made at the council of Basle. The spirit of conversation all through the universities rose upon this topic, and Farel, being in the midst of that, must have been sorely influence by these thoughts at the timing of the Reformation.

Among the doctors of the university there was one who stood out among the crowd. His name was Lefevere. He had received a “mean” education, but his masterful intellect overcame this where the education cut him short. He was a very devoted man and Farel desired to know him well because of his practical piety and great learning.

Lefevere began studying the epistles of Paul and conveyed his findings to his students. Justification by faith alone was finally proclaimed at Sorbonne. Farel, listened to this new doctrine and began to be won over to sovereign election and justification – the cornerstones of the Reformation.

At the time Luther was in a cloister performing monkery, Lefevere was proclaiming the Gospel of
Lefevere
Jesus Christ to the world through his students.
Though Lefevere was the first preacher of the formal Reformation, Luther still remained the great workman of the Reformation. Lefevere is not as well rounded as either Luther, Calvin or Farel. It was under the reign of Francis I who succeeded Louis XII that the country moved from being in the dark ages to modern times. Francis had the possibilities of being a good king.

Margaret, the cousin of the king, was a very poised, moral young woman. She wrote tenderly and had great virtues amidst the wickedness of the social climate. She would be the first in high courts to be converted in France and take hold of the Reformation. It happened through a nobleman named William of Montburn who resided at the court, and decided to enter the church after his wife died.
Margaret found sustenance in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Amidst the immorality, the Lord Jesus Christ was her Strong Tower. After a while, she conversed with Farel, Lefevere and Roussel and was overwhelmed by their characters and morality. Margaret even recorded in her own poetry the movements of her soul towards the light of the Gospel through these varied influences at the court of Francis I. Many accused her of heresy, and she was ridiculed before Francis, but Francis refused to believe it.

Louisa of Savoy, the mother of both Francis and Margaret, was an immoral woman who desired to stop the preaching of the Word. She possessed a huge influence over her son that made her dangerous. She had Anthony Duprat nominated as chancellor and he, also being a horrible man, was more opposed to the Gospel than she was. Both Louisa and Anthony held allegiance to the Pope and desired to set themselves against the heretics of Protestantism by shedding their blood.
King Francis I

Briconnet invited Farel and the others to come to Meaux to join Lefevere and the ability to preach the Gospel. Margaret was becoming saddened at the loss of her friends and went to visit with her mother’s sister, Philberta. She learned of the grace of God but was too immature to really defend the faith where Margaret needed a strong Christian friend. Philberta died at the age of twenty six even before she was able to give her consent to the Reformation. Margaret found no consolation with all of her friends leaving her and wrote to Briconnet a number of times in hopes of some encouragement. Though Briconnet wrote back and exchanged letters, she still found it difficult, almost impossible, to live on in the midst of those who hate the Gospel.

Francis Lambert quitted France and traveled to Wittenberg to see Luther. He had been a monk beginning at age fifteen, but hated the debauchery of the monks, and so left. He read Luther’s works, was converted by the Gospel and left France to go where the Gospel was flourishing in Germany.

Leclerc, a wool-comber who wrote vehemently against the Antichrist of Rome.
Leclerc was cast into prison by the Franciscans who hated his preaching. He had taken placards and posted them around the cathedral of the city saying that God would destroy it for the rejection of the Gospel. He was sentenced to be whipped and then burned, but because of the his mother who cried “Glory to Jesus Christ and to his witnesses”, out before the sentence was carried out, the enemies of the Gospel were thrown into confusion and Leclerc was set free. Later he was caught again and burned slowly at the stake for Gospel in Menz. He was the first martyr in France.

Persecution was flowing through France. People were being put to death for
Margaret
adhering to the Jesus Christ and the Gospel of Grace found in the Bible. Many in the North were persecuting the Gospel where it had sprung up, but the South was about to give way to it.

Farel decided to go from house to house and from school to school teaching the Bible. Many were concerted who took up their mouth or their pens to spread the good news throughout the land. Among these was Anemond of Coct who wrote in both Latin and French.
Anemond decided to leave France, as Paul left the Jews, because of their rejection of the Gospel. He visited with Luther ...Anemond then wrote Farel and told him of the move of God in Germany and Switzerland and prompted him to come over. Farel did in 1524.

Farel desired to spread the motto of Meaux to the universities of Switzerland but the council of Basle would not allow it. They held a formal council and Oecolampadius and Farel spoke, demonstrating the truth that the Word of God is the only all-sufficient authority.

After Farel was ordained to the ministry, he left with Esch to go to Montbeliard. This was to be his new post. He began his ministry there preaching with great fervency, so much so that Erasmus wrote to the French saying one their Frenchman was making trouble in these regions.

In France, Margaret began to show more resolve, and had Michael d’Arande at her side as a friend and encourager in the Gospel. Michael was bold for the Gospel and preached everywhere, especially with the nobles. Margaret also had Anthony Papillon translate Luther’s works into French from Latin so she would be able to read them.

Toussaint, came to visit and found the town in commotion about the preaching of Farel. The Franciscans had arisen to counter the work that Farel was doing. Farel did not mind this opposition and it excited him to greater diligence. Oecolampadius wrote to Farel exhorting him not to resort to any kind of public demonstration or violence and simply to preach and allow God to work in drawing men to the truth.
But Farel was exceedingly troubled that the people were given over to image worship all through the city. He watched, one day, a procession go by where the priests held some of the saints as idols. He snatched them up and cast them over the bridge into the water and began to preach to them about their wickedness. They remained silent for a time, until one in the crowd said the image was drowning. The crowd turned into a frenzy and Farel escaped their clutches. Farel had to leave there and went to Oecolampadius and remained at Basle. However, he stayed only a time and ultimately went to Strasburg.

Calvin
Margaret thought Francis would receive the Word of God with eagerness, but the exploits of Beda and others still hindered the work in the highest of courts. Even her mother Louisa was still in the thrall of persecuting a few Frenchmen in order to win the favors of the Pope. Francis was taken prisoner at Pavia, and his mother took this as a political coo on her part to take possession of some political authority.

Briconnet seem to give up on the church and even attacked her by siding with Rome and offering his submission to her dictates. He never seemed to have the full resolve of Luther or Farel, and did not further the Reformation in France as he could have done.

In Noyon the Reformation would gain its greatest theologian. The name of the young man was John Calvin. While Calvin was growing up, being a second-generation reformer, the flames of persecution were still burning through Paris. Even Margaret fled to Spain to avoid the disruptions seen by the absence of her brother." APM

Henry Morris Comment on Halloween

Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils. 1 Timothy 4:1

"Halloween was a corruption of "Hallowed E'en," the evening before "All Saints Day" in which civil disobedience and sinful license were tolerated prior to the forgiveness and penance sought the next day.

Although the level of debauchery and wickedness has waxed and waned over the centuries, nothing
"hallowed" has ever been associated with the practice--until more recent times among evangelical churches. Now we promote a "Harvest Festival" or a "Bible Character Dress-up Night"--much of which encourages the practice of costuming and treats as a harmless alternative.

The difficulty is not with the church activities, but with the timing and the association with that which is evil. That obvious connection with a pagan holiday will undermine resolve to "come out from among them, and be ye separate" (2 Corinthians 6:17).

Yes, no doubt that passage warns against an "unequal yoke" in marriage--but its primary focus is on church and individual purity! "What fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?" (2 Corinthians 6:14-15)." HMM III

Creation Moment 10/30/2017 - Genetics Supports Genesis

And Adam ....
and begat a son in his own likeness, ....
Genesis 5:3
"By comparing DNA from different humans around the world, it has been found that all humans
share roughly 99.9% of their genetic material—they are almost completely identical, genetically.
This means that there is very little polymorphism, or variation.  Much evidence of this genetic continuity has been found.  For example, Dorit et al. examined a 729-base pair intron (the DNA in the genome that is not read to make proteins) from a worldwide sample of 38 human males and reported no sequence variation.  This sort of invariance
‘ …  likely results from either a recent selective sweep, a recent origin for modern Homo sapiens, recurrent male population bottlenecks, or historically small effective male population sizes … any value of Q [lowest actual human sequence diversity] > 0.0011 predicts polymorphism in our sample [and yet none was found] … .  The critical value for this study thus falls below most, but not all, available estimates, thus suggesting that the lack of polymorphism at ZFY [a locus, or location] is not due to chance.’

After citing additional evidence of low variation on the Y chromosome, they note in their last paragraph that their results ‘are not compatible with most multiregional models for the origin of modern humans.’ Knight et al. have had similar research results:
‘We obtained over 55 kilobases of sequence from three autosomal loci encompassing Alu repeats for representatives of diverse human populations as well as orthologous sequences for other hominoid species at one of these loci.  Nucleotide diversity was exceedingly low.  Most individuals and populations were identical.  Only a single nucleotide difference distinguished presumed ancestral alleles from descendants.  These results differ from those expected if alleles from divergent archaic populations were maintained through multiregional continuity.  The observed virtual lack of sequence polymorphism is the signature of a recent single origin for modern humans, with general replacement of archaic populations.’
These results are quite consistent with a recent human origin and a global flood.  Evolutionary models of origins did not predict such low human genetic diversity.  Mutations should have produced much more diversity than 0.1% over millions of years.  And yet this is exactly what we would expect to find if all humans were closely related and experienced a relatively recent event in which only a few survived.  Research is needed to determine what variation should actually be present in the human genome—what would we expect within an evolutionary framework, and how does that compare with what we find?  These results could have a great impact on biological evolution, population genetics, and could provide telling results about the age of the humankind.  It could also affect the so-called molecular clock.

Another piece of evidence involves single nucleotide polymorphisms (hereafter SNPs), which are mutations common to the human genome (meaning that many humans share them), being present in the human population at a frequency of roughly 1%. These provide great insight into both medical
research and population genetics.  Many humans share large blocks of SNPs (called haplotypes), suggesting that all humans could have descended from a relatively recent demographic event.
Linkage disequilibrium (or LD) supports the same conclusion.  Genes are located on chromosomes in cells, and these genes may either be far away or close to each other.  All of the genes that are located on one chromosome are said to be linked.  When cells divide through meiosis, crossing over (or genetic recombination) often occurs.  This involves two chromosomes aligning and swapping segments of DNA, resulting in genes getting shuffled around.

The closer two genes are together, the more likely that they will be inherited together—because they are close, it is unlikely that they will be separated during crossing over.  When this holds true, genes are said to be in linkage disequilibrium—a state where they are not thoroughly mixed, but tend to be inherited together.

Likewise, if genes are thoroughly mixed, they are in equilibrium.  LD has provided much evidence for a population bottleneck, because humans contain long-range LD, or LD that extends quite far in the genome, meaning that many genes tend to be inherited together.  This type of evidence has been found in Northern Europe, for example.  In fact, data gathered by Reich et al., suggests that in general, blocks of LD are large in humans, because many genes are closely associated.  The explanation of this can have significant implications:
‘Why does LD extend so far?  LD around an allele [or variant form of a gene] arises because of selection or population history—a small population size, genetic drift or population mixture—and decays owing to recombination [crossing over], which breaks down ancestral haplotypes [blocks of SNPs].  The extent of LD decreases in proportion to the number of generations since the LD-generating event.  The simplest explanation for the observed long-range LD [such as what we find in humans] is that the population under study experienced an extreme founder effect or bottleneck: a period when the population was so small that a few ancestral haplotypes gave rise to most of the haplotypes that exist today.’
This study concluded with the possibility that 50 individuals may have founded the entire population of Europe.  This evidence is also quite consistent with a historical global flood." CMI

Satan's Enmity Against the Law

Audio:

The most dangerous falsehoods are those that are mingled with truth.
When the conflict was renewed upon the earth, Satan again won a seeming advantage. By
transgression, man became his captive. Satan's enmity against God's law had impelled him to war against every precept of the Decalogue.
"Why," said the artful tempter, "when God knew what would be the result, did He permit man to be placed on trial, to sin, and bring in misery and death?"
There are thousands today echoing the same rebellious complaint against God. They do not see that to deprive man of the freedom of choice would be to rob him of his prerogative as an intelligent being, and make him a mere automaton. It is not God's purpose to coerce the will.
Satan was a murderer from the beginning. John 8:44

*He was a subject of the divine government, and there can be no government without law.
*God might have created man without the power to transgress His law; He might have withheld the hand of Adam from touching the forbidden fruit; but in that case man would have been, not a free moral agent, but a mere automaton."

SDA Issues - Our "widows mites" wasted by NAD

And there came a certain poor widow, and she threw in two mites, which make a farthing.
And he called unto him his disciples, and saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That this poor widow hath cast more in, than all they which have cast into the treasury:
Matthew 12:42,43

NAD seems to have forgot what our "widows mites" are for....

"The Year-End Meetings of the North American Division (NAD) started with the grand opening

ceremony for the much anticipated NAD headquarters, an event filled with much energy and laughter.

The Allegheny East Pathfinders Drum Corps opened the proceedings with a rousing performance. Then John Wobensmith, the Secretary of State of Maryland, presented NAD President Dan Jackson with a Maryland State flag that had flown over the State capitol building in Annapolis.

The NAD paid $19.5 million for it and spent an additional $11 million in renovations. The total cost was paid for with reserve funds. Each division is required under GC policy to keep an amount equal to 100% of its yearly operating budget in reserve. It was this money the NAD dipped into to pay for the building, bringing its reserves down to 93% of its operating budget; an amount officials say they are confident they will bring back up to 100% soon." S

Uhmmmm.....this money could have been spent on spreading the Gospel....MILLIONS wasted when NAD was already in a building....truth be told, Mr. Jackson's clique didn't like working in the GC building (where they were headquartered) with Ted Wilson's clique....all this so Mr. Jackson can continue to forment rebellion on women's ordination and other things.

P.S.--WHAT IS THIS????
They spent MONEY on this?
What does it do for Adventism or it's Message?
They're proud of this?
Would Paul have wasted CHURCH MONEY on this?
This looks like something you would see among the halls & walls of secular academics
This was the headline from over at the anti-Adventist, Adventist Today website-- "New North American Headquarters for Adventist Denomination Opened" ... should have been better phrased "New North American Headquarters for Adventist Women's Ordination Opened"

SDA News - 100 Year Old SDA Forgives

"Relatives of a 100-year-old victim of a heartless Brooklyn home invasion that left her husband of 30 years dead said she has already forgiven the killers.
Gutsy Ethlin Thompson returned to her Bedford-Stuyvesant brownstone Thursday night after a brief
stay at Kings County Hospital — a day after four suspects targeted her and her 91-year-old husband Waldiman Thompson in a meticulously-planned home invasion.
Despite her paralyzing grief and the trauma of being bound and robbed, Thompson leaned on her Christian faith and the support of family and friends.
“She said that she forgives the people that did this,” said Thompson’s great niece,

Doctors weren’t taking any chances.
Even as she returned home to pack some belongings for a stay at a friend’s home, an ambulance remained on standby across the street.
The devout Seventh-day Adventist, who was born in Costa Rica and lived in Jamaica before immigrating to the U.S., was escorted from the back of an unmarked police car to her home. She was accompanied by about a dozen detectives, community affairs cops and relatives."

The mixed multitude had been the first to indulge murmuring and impatience, and they were the leaders in the apostasy that followed.
How often, in our own day, is the love of pleasure disguised by a form of godliness! A religion that permits men, while observing the rites of worship, to devote themselves to selfish or sensual gratification, is as pleasing to the multitudes now as in the days of Israel. And there are still pliant Aarons, who, while holding positions of authority in the church, will yield to the desires of the unconsecrated, and thus encourage them in sin.
The intercession of Moses in behalf of Israel illustrates the mediation of Christ for sinful men.

The songs first stanza deals with the Son, second stanza with the Holy Spirit & the chorus with the Father...capturing the Essence of the Triune Godhead.
And because ye are sons,
God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts,
crying, Abba, Father.
Galatians 4:6

"Sons of God" & 24 Elders

Are these particular "Sons of God" the 24 Elders?
Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them....Again there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them to present himself before the LORD.
Job 1:6/2:1

Are they the representatives of other created worlds?
And the LORD said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.
Job 1:7

Remember what Lucifer said to Christ as it relates to this world?
Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them; And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me.
Matthew 4:8,9

The 24 Elders sit on "seats" & have "crowns"--indication of headship...but of what?
And round about the throne were four and twenty seats: and upon the seats I saw four and twenty elders sitting, clothed in white raiment; and they had on their heads crowns of gold.
Revelation 4:4

So are the 24 Elders, as the headship of other created worlds, their representatives with a front row seat for the Judgment?...just wondering.
