Caiaphas Repeated in the End

And one of them, named Caiaphas, being the high priest that same year,
said unto them, Ye know nothing at all, Nor consider that it is expedient for us,
that one man should die for the people, and that the whole nation perish not.
John 11:49,50

In the End Times, the thinking of Caiaphas will be repeated to justify the death penalty for those who resist the mark-of-the-beast.

Creation Moment 3/24/2015 - State of always-imperfect knowledge - Science

"The very idea that science best expresses its authority through
consensus statements is at odds with a vibrant scientific enterprise. Consensus is for textbooks; real science depends for its progress on continual challenges to the current state of always-imperfect knowledge. Science would provide better value to politics if it articulated the broadest set of plausible interpretations, options and perspectives, imagined by the best experts, rather than forcing convergence to an allegedly unified voice."

Casting that First Stone

For there is not a just man upon earth,

He that is without sin among you,
let him first cast a stone at her.

Creation Moment 3/23/2015 - National Geopgraphic's War on Creationism

"National Geographic (NG) is a respected popular science magazine with millions of subscribers. So it is unfortunate when they use that platform to promote anti-creation propaganda under the guise of science. The cover of the March 2015 issue is “The War on Science”, and the featured article by science writer Joel Achenbach, “The age of disbelief”, intends to explain why so many people doubt the scientific establishment on a range of issues—from global warming to vaccines ....And, of course, no ‘war on science’ article would be complete without a reference to creationists. But rather than shed light on these controversies, NG has only managed to spread more confusion.

When we analyze NG’s claim that there is a war on science, first we have to understand what they understand science to be. And they turn out to be a little confused about what science is and what it does. On one hand, they say, “Scientific results are always provisional, susceptible to being overturned by some future experiment or observation. Scientists rarely proclaim an absolute truth or absolute certainty” (41). But they also say, “Science will find the truth … It may get it wrong the first time and maybe the second time, but ultimately it will find the truth” (41). So which is it—provisional statement or truth?

Also, how does science arrive at the truth? Achenbach states: “The news media give abundant attention to such mavericks, naysayers, professional controversialists, and table thumpers. The media would have you believe that science is full of shocking discoveries made by lone geniuses. Not so. The (boring) truth is that it usually advances incrementally, through the steady accretion of data and insights gathered by many people over many years” (41). Well, it often does. But there are plenty of instances where it did not. The same article also features the stories of Galileo, Darwin, and Pasteur, all of whom were “lone geniuses” opposing the scientific consensus. So which narrative does NG want us to believe?

The full range of ‘attacks on science’ cited by NG includes: opposing the fluoridation of water, disbelief in the Apollo moon landings, belief in a flat earth (which the church never taught), distrust of genetically modified food and vaccines, concern that the Ebola virus might become airborne, opposition to climate change, and creationism.
But this is a guilt-by-association ploy. People hold such views for a variety of reasons, so each issue should be evaluated on the merits, not lumped all together as though every creationist also denies that the earth is a sphere. We don’t.

In fact, Achenbach commits the fallacy C.S. Lewis called Bulverism—devoting all kinds of space to explaining why your opponent is wrong (through superficial psycho-analysis) before you’ve shown that he is wrong. Achenbach claims that peer pressure, not rational assessment, is the primary driving force behind rejection of the scientific consensus:
Science appeals to our rational brain, but our beliefs are motivated largely by emotion, and the biggest motivation is remaining tight with our peers (45).
Achenbach also admits that his arguments against those who oppose the consensus are ineffective. He says, “Throwing more facts at them doesn’t help” (45). But instead of taking this as a cue to find more persuasive arguments, he blames his opponents for not thinking rationally.

More recently, the creationist RATE team and secular scientists both made predictions about how quickly helium trapped in zircon crystals leaks out (i.e. diffusion rate). Helium is produced as a result of uranium decay in the crystals. It turns out that helium escapes the crystals fairly easily, so if they were really 1.5 billion years old, all the helium would have escaped. The actual diffusion measurements completely matched the creationist predictions, and the leak rate actually gave an age of 6000 ± 2000 years—i.e. in the same vicinity as the biblical range!

Geologist Steve Austin’s research on the Mt St Helens disaster shows how large-scale geological features can be formed by catastrophe, including sedimentary layers, canyons, polystrate fossils, and rapid recovery of the landscape. This is completely contrary to evolutionist predictions that such landforms would take millions of years. And Dr Austin predicted that a floating log mat would eventually sink root-first down to the bottom, be buried at different levels, as we find at Specimen Ridge in Yellowstone. The initial stages of this process have been observed at Mt St Helens as well.

No one is really at war with science, but there is a very real war within science. Evolution is the ruling paradigm, and the elite within scientific circles are desperate to keep creationists out. This is because, if the world is billions of years old, we evolved from single-celled creatures, and there is no God, then there is no one to whom we’re accountable. If, however, the earth and people were created by the God of the Bible, then we’re accountable to Him, and that is a truth that they do not want to contemplate." CMI

Footsteps of Paul: Diana

After these things were ended,
Paul purposed in the spirit,
when he had passed through Macedonia and Achaia,
to go to Jerusalem, saying,
After I have been there, I must also see Rome.
So he sent into Macedonia two of them that ministered unto him,
Timotheus and Erastus; but he himself stayed in Asia for a season.
And the same time there arose no small stir about that way.
For a certain man named Demetrius,
a silversmith, which made silver shrines for Diana,
brought no small gain unto the craftsmen;
Whom he called together with the workmen of like occupation,
and said, Sirs, ye know that by this craft we have our wealth.

Moreover ye see and hear, that not alone at Ephesus,
but almost throughout all Asia,
this Paul hath persuaded and turned away much people,
saying that they be no gods,
which are made with hands:

So that not only this our craft is in danger to be set at nought;
but also that the temple of the great goddess Diana should be despised,
and her magnificence should be destroyed, whom all Asia and the world worshippeth.
And when they heard these sayings, they were full of wrath, and cried out, saying,
Great is Diana of the Ephesians.

And the whole city was filled with confusion: and having caught Gaius and Aristarchus, men of Macedonia, Paul's companions in travel, they rushed with one accord into the theatre.

And when Paul would have entered in unto the people,
the disciples suffered him not.

And certain of the chief of Asia, which were his friends,
sent unto him, desiring him that he would not adventure himself into the theatre.
Some therefore cried one thing, and some another: for the assembly was confused;
and the more part knew not wherefore they were come together.

And they drew Alexander out of the multitude, the Jews putting him forward.
And Alexander beckoned with the hand, and would have made his defence unto the people.
But when they knew that he was a Jew,
all with one voice about the space of two hours cried out,
Great is Diana of the Ephesians.

And when the townclerk had appeased the people, he said, Ye men of Ephesus, what man is there that knoweth not how that the city of the Ephesians is a worshipper of the great goddess Diana, and of the image which fell down from Jupiter?
Seeing then that these things cannot be spoken against, ye ought to be quiet, and to do nothing rashly.
For ye have brought hither these men, which are neither robbers of churches, nor yet blasphemers of your goddess.
Wherefore if Demetrius, and the craftsmen which are with him, have a matter against any man, the law is open, and there are deputies: let them implead one another.
But if ye enquire any thing concerning other matters, it shall be determined in a lawful assembly.
For we are in danger to be called in question for this day's uproar, there being no cause whereby we may give an account of this concourse.
And when he had thus spoken, he dismissed the assembly.

And after the uproar was ceased,
Paul called unto him the disciples, and embraced them,
and departed for to go into Macedonia.
Acts 19:21-41/20:1

Creation Moment 3/22/2015 - SPLASH

For this they willingly are ignorant of,
that by the word of God the heavens were of old,
and the earth standing out of the water and in the water:
2 Peter 3:5
"For many years the dominant view among planetary scientists was that the earth’s oceans were primordial. That is, they thought that the oceans’ water came from material that formed the earth 4.6 billion years ago and that the water condensed into oceans right away. This view dramatically changed three decades ago when most scientists embraced the theory that the moon resulted from a grazing impact by a Mars-sized body early in the earth’s history. That impact would have vaporized and removed what primordial oceans might have been present, leaving behind a parched earth.

Because comets have high water content, planetary scientists next turned to them to provide water for the earth’s oceans. Comets are small, so it would have required the collision of a few thousand large comets to provide enough water to equal the content of the oceans. Most astronomers think that comets were much more plentiful in the early solar system. Furthermore, they also think that the solar
system underwent a period of very intense impacts, the late heavy bombardment, between 3.8 and 4.1 billion years ago, so one might expect that comet impacts were common then.
However, this idea has encountered a difficulty. Water contains hydrogen, and hydrogen has two stable isotopes. Most hydrogen atoms have a single proton in their nuclei, but a small percentage of hydrogen atoms have a proton and a neutron in their nuclei. We call this heavier isotope of hydrogen deuterium (normal hydrogen sometimes is called protium). In the earth’s oceans, a little more than 0.01% of hydrogen atoms are deuterium. In recent years, astronomers have measured the deuterium abundance in about ten comets. The first six comets so measured had deuterium about twice that of earth. Most astronomers were unconcerned about that, because they thought that these six comets came from the Oort cloud, while they thought it more likely that comets from the Kuiper belt delivered the earth’s water. This thinking supposedly was confirmed by the measurement of deuterium in Comet 103P/Hartley four years ago, which found a near-match for terrestrial deuterium abundance.

However, measurements late last year showed that Comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko had deuterium abundance 3 ½ times greater than that of earth. This comet too is supposed to be from the Kuiper belt, yet it has the highest deuterium abundance yet. It is a mystery why the deuterium abundance of comets varies so much, but it has become clear that the average deuterium abundance of comets, whether they come from the hypothetical Oort cloud or the Kuiper belt, is significantly higher than the earth’s. This effectively eliminates comets as the source of the earth’s oceans.
Mr. Beatty briefly discussed a proposal that primordial water on the earth may have been transported deep into the earth whereupon it was later reintroduced to the surface through volcanic activity. But the removal of surface water in this manner would have required that plate tectonics be operating from the very beginning; however, most planetary scientists think that plate tectonics came along a billion years after the earth formed. Since this is much too late to have saved primordial water before the hypothetical large impact that formed the moon, that suggestion probably is not correct.

Biblical creationists know that the earth’s oceans are primordial. 2 Peter 3:5 explicitly mentions the importance of water in the early creation." AIG

APOSTASY

Paul describes apostasy as being characterized by
1) sin or breaking God's law (2 Thessalonians 2: 3- 8),
2) believing a lie (2: 11), and
3) not believing the truth (2: 12).
The Holy Spirit says that in the latter days some shall apostatize from the faith.
Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons.

From the pages of Sacred History

"Sacred history presents many illustrations of the results of true education. It presents many noble examples of men whose characters were formed under divine direction,
* men whose lives were a blessing to their fellow men
* and who stood in the world as representatives of God.
Among these are Joseph and Daniel, Moses, Elisha, and Paul--the greatest statesmen, the wisest legislator, one of the most faithful of reformers, and, except Him who spoke as never man spake, the most illustrious teacher that this world has known."
Education p.52 E.G.W.
Now all these things happened to them as examples,
and they were written for our admonition,
upon whom the ends of the ages have come.

Creation Moment 3/21/2015 - 3 Reasons

"Three key reasons for concluding that our Lord Jesus Christ believed and taught literal recent creation of all things essentially instantaneously by the omnipotent command of God, who "spake, and it was done" (Psalm 33:9).
  1. The Bible nowhere allows for long ages.
One can search the Scriptures from beginning to end without finding even a hint of evolution or long ages. To Jesus, every "jot or one tittle" of Scripture was divinely inspired (Matthew 5:18) and He warned us severely against adding any other words to it (Revelation 22:18). The Bible, therefore, would certainly not leave the vital doctrine of creation open to human speculation.

  2. The Bible explicitly states how and when creation took place.
Although many evangelicals have long equivocated as to the meaning of the "days" of creation, this type of ad hoc handling of Scripture is never justified in the context, and Christ Himself would never have interpreted them as indefinite ages of some kind. Not only is "day" (Hebrew, yom) defined in this context the first time it is used (Genesis 1:5), but the writer conclusively restricted its interpretation to the literal meaning by numbering the days ("first day," "second day," etc.) and by indicating their boundaries ("evening and morning"), both of which restrictions elsewhere in the Old Testament limit the meaning to literal days. The question seems to be even more firmly settled when God wrote with His own finger that "in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the [seventh] day, and hallowed it" (Exodus 20:11), thereby basing our calendar's seven-day week on this primeval creation week. Jesus referred to this divine example when He said that "The sabbath was made for man" (Mark 2:27) to meet our weekly need of rest from work.

  3. The Lord Jesus recognized that men and women existed right from the beginning.
The current opinion is that the cosmos evolved about 16 billion years ago, the earth about 4.6 billion, primitive life perhaps two billion, and human life about one million years ago. The Lord Jesus, on the other hand (who was there, having Himself created all things—note John 1:1-3), taught that men and women were made essentially at the same time as the cosmos itself, when He said that "from the beginning God . . . made them male and female" (Mark 10:6). "The beginning" obviously was a reference to Genesis 1:1, and Christ was specifically citing Genesis 1:26.
On another occasion, speaking especially of Adam's son Abel, He referred to "the blood of all the prophets, which was shed from the foundation of
the world" (Luke 11:50-51), thereby acknowledging that Abel was the first prophet, martyred in the very first generation—not 4.6 billion years after the formation of the earth. Jesus also said that Satan, using Cain to slay Abel, "was a murderer from the beginning" (John 8:44)." ICR

The Field of Conflict

"The field of conflict is the domain of the heart. The battle which we have to fight--the greatest battle that was ever fought by man--is the surrender of self to the will of God, the yielding of the heart to the sovereignty of love."

In the NEWS - Marriage vs. Cohabitation

"We've all heard the popular American rhyme about relationships: First comes love, then comes marriage, then comes baby in a baby carriage.
However, thanks to the current phenomenon of the 'hookup culture,' the traditional American family is rearranging to conform to the structure of modern, noncommittal relationships: first comes sex, then comes cohabitation, then maybe a baby, and possibly marriage.
In fact, the sequence of hooking up, sex, and premarital cohabitation seems to represent a growing norm in society, pointing to the fact that the traditional major milestones of a relationship are happening prior to marriage rather than after tying the knot.

Although the phenomenon of the hookup culture is often attributed to millennials, studies from the Journal of Sex Research have shown that millennials (2004-2012) do not actually have more casual sex than the generation before them (1988-1996).

With this in mind, it should be equally as enlightening to both millennials and non-millennials to hear that this culture of casual sex, the haze of hooking up, and the slide of sexual intimacy is also affecting the chances of a happy marriage.

The National Marriage Project at the University of Virginia published a study called "Before 'I Do'" and found that what couples do before they say 'I do' actually matters -- and that premarital experiences from the past could end up haunting them long into marital bliss.

"What people do before marriage appears to matter," stated Dr. Galena K. Rhoades and Dr. Scott M. Stanley in the 2014 study, saying that "how they conduct their romantic lives before they tie the knot is linked to their odds of having happy marriages."

They found that those couples who partook in hooking up, premarital cohabitation, or even engaging in multiple sexual encounters with different people over the course of their lives would have a less likely chance of remaining in a happy marriage - if they even got married at all.

"What happens in Vegas - everything you do before settling down in marriage - may not stay there," Rhoades and Stanley continued, saying that "those who have had more romantic experiences are more likely to have lower-quality marriages than those with a less complicated romantic history."

About 90 percent of Americans have sex before marriage and on average, these Americans will have five sexual partners before settling down with "the one."

Stanley and Rhoades pointed out that cohabitation, which includes creating a life together - buying furniture, investing in a pet, paying monthly rent together - can create a kind of inertia that makes it harder for the couple to breakup, if the time came.

So instead of breaking up if the match proved to be unsuitable, the couple would likely stay together in a kind of unhealthy paralysis. The cohabitating couple would more likely enter into an unhappy marriage rather than delve into the inconvenience of breaking apart the life they so carefully created when living together.

"In general, couples who wait to have sex later in their relationship report higher levels of marital quality," Rhoades and Stanley continued, pointing to the fact that sex in a relationship - especially hooking up early on - will have repercussions on marriage.

This could have to do with the fact that typically, both parties are be blinded by attraction. The couple who has sex early on in the relationship still has no idea if they are well-matched because they are captivated by sexual enthrallment. If the relationship starts off with sex, then the more detailed and subtle aspects of their partner could be glossed over by the hazy lenses of sexual attraction.
The research also suggests that if an individual only has sex with their eventual spouse and no others, the odds of marital happiness are substantially better than if the individual had sex with multiple partners."

Don’t believe in global warming?
Al Gore thinks you need to be ‘punished’

"Al Gore claiming anyone who disagrees with climate change needs to pay a price. How is it that the left can celebrate diversity of opinion while at the same time shouting down anyone who disagrees?
The Chicago Tribune reported, “Former Vice President Al Gore on Friday called on SXSW attendees to punish climate-change deniers, saying politicians should pay a price for rejecting ‘accepted science.'” The Chicago Tribune reported that Gore told the audience “we need to put a price on denial in politics.”

Glenn Beck asks “I want to ask you, what kind of country and what kind of world do you want to live in? What does the First Amendment really even mean? Do you have a right to free speech? Do you have a right to freedom of thought? Do you have a right to exist if your thoughts are spoken out loud and they happen to disagree with others?” Glenn said on radio. “This happened at SXSW – a big meeting of high tech entrepreneurs, artists. This is youth. This is the future,” Glenn said. “Al Gore has given a speech at South by Southwest and everybody who applauded should have been ashamed of themselves because he said it’s time to make climate deniers pay. There needs to be some sort of a fine, a penalty, for those who deny climate change because he’s had enough. What kind of fascistic country are we turning into?” “What is wrong with the people at SXSW, where you stand there like a bunch of rubes or boobs applauding someone saying, ‘I’m going to take away someone else’s right to disagree with science.'” Glenn pointed out that our understanding of science and the world is constantly changing and we should not be punishing anyone for asking questions."

Creation Moment 3/20/2015 - Cancer Undermines Evolution

"How did nature supposedly transform a single-cell organism into all the varieties of land-walking animals in our world today? Textbook explanations invoke natural selection of beneficial mutations across unimaginable time, with a bit of help from “junk DNA” and heaps of serendipitous chance. Though it was not intended as a test of evolution, a new cancer research discovery jeopardizes these unfounded evolutionary assumptions.

As body cells divide, they copy billions of DNA “letters” that encode cellular building and maintenance protocols, including codes that build new proteins. Despite networks of error-detecting and correcting molecular machines, a few copying mistakes called mutations always creep in.

Scientists have known for some time that mutations have the potential to cause cancer when they occur in genes used for cell growth and division. However, scientists from The Institute of Cancer Research in London recently published new finds in Nature Communications showing that mutations
in DNA found far away from these cell-growth genes can also help cause cancer.

News from The Institute of Cancer Research said, “Single-letter genetic variations within parts of the genome once dismissed as ‘junk DNA’ can increase cancer risk through ‘wormhole-like’ effects on far-off genes.” In other words, the mutations occur in DNA sequences found nowhere near the cell growth genes, yet somehow affect cell growth. If the sequences were truly useless, as secular scientists once maintained, then mutations there would not cause cancer anywhere. Instead, it looks like this remote DNA regulates cell processes without coding for proteins.

Similar to the remote DNA, DNA called pseudogenes was also thought to be purposeless junk at one time. But mutations in them contribute to cancer as well, showing they aren’t junk but actually affect vital functions in the body. Now, studies confirm that virtually all DNA is used for some task, in some tissue, at some time during a creature’s life.

This should be bad news for a pretty popular mechanism thought to aid evolution. Supposedly, evolutionary progress benefits when mutations alter junk DNA without damaging its organism. Eventually, a useful, new gene accidentally emerges and becomes integrated into the creature’s growth process, adding a new trait upon which natural selection can beneficially act. But this new research reveals what others have been finding—that very little DNA, if any, is actually junk. And without junk DNA to mutate without repercussion, most mutations actually damage useful DNA. How does that help a sponge evolve into a spearfish?

Geneticists continually confirm that mutations rarely, if ever, add new and useful genetic programming. Instead, scientists observe mutations causing diseases. Where is the evidence for evolution’s “beneficial mutations?” It certainly does not appear in this cancer research. In fact, the relentless pile-up of mutations over many generations flies in the face of conventional “millions of years” wisdom. Eventually, essential genetic information gets too garbled, resulting in mutations galore and eventual species extinction. If we have been accumulating mutations as a human race for millions of years, why are we not already extinct?

Nowadays, even cancer research disagrees with the assumptions of beneficial mutations, millions of years, and junk DNA. However, this new cancer research does agree with the idea of a once perfect, recent creation that still suffers under its Genesis 3 curse." ICR  So he drove out the man; Genesis 3:24

SDA History: Cambita Garabito

History of the Adventist in Cambita Garabito

"Adventists were born in the community of Pueblo Nuevo in 1952. Capital One lady only identified as Zunilda, had problems with her husband. The situation went so far that took place divorce. ......Zunilda reached Cambita, began to preach the Gospel. She was an ardent activist of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
.... 1956 and mid-year fell to waters Mrs. Lucinda baptismal Lorenzo. This was the first citizen here who accepted the message. Months later did his brother Francisco Lorenzo. After Palin followed García, Juan Brito, Santo Herrera, Manuel Diaz (Head), Manuel Ramon de la Cruz (Ten), Christopher Garcia and family, and Erasmo Puello and family. T

Therefore, the first Adventist church was founded in the community of Pueblo Nuevo, which still exists today. With the passage of Hurricane David in 1979, the first wooden building fell and then one of concrete was built. After Adventists moved to the community of Los Toros and there accepted the message Juan Pilar and her family, Victor Benitez and other citizens. After Adventists arrived at the Crossroads. Here the first to accept the sermons were Marcelino Rivera, Welcome Acevedo, Andres Martich, among others. Note that Adventists are the most compact and fastest growing Protestant group.

They are in all rural communities in the municipality Cambita Garabito. They have managed to build a historical leadership that has remained scandal free, contrary to other denominations."

Health Note: Mango

Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest ....be in health,
3 John 1:2

"There are many different kinds of mangoes that range in color, shape, flavor and seed size. While the skin color of mangoes can vary from green to red, yellow or orange, the inner flesh of the mango is mostly a golden yellow. They have a sweet and creamy taste and contain over 20 vitamins and minerals.
Mangoes have been named the most widely consumed fruit in the world.
Some of the possible health benefits of consuming mango include
a decreased risk of macular degeneration,
a decreased risk of colon cancer,
improvement in digestion and bone health
and even benefits for the skin and hair.

Nutritional breakdown of mangoes

One cup of diced mango contains 100 calories, 1 gram protein, 0.5 grams fat, 25 grams of carbohydrate (23 grams of sugar and 3 grams of fiber), 100% of the daily need for vitamin C, 35% for vitamin A, 20% of folate, 10% of vitamin B-6 and 8% of vitamin K and potassium.
Mangoes also contribute copper, calcium and iron to the diet as well as antioxidants such as zeaxanthin and beta-carotene." MNT

IN the NEWS - Biden

Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain:
for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.
Deuteronomy 5:11
"Vice President Joe Biden used the Lord’s name in vain on Friday as he spoke at the annual conference for a prominent homosexual activist organization.
Biden, who served as keynote speaker at the Human Rights Campaign’s (HRC) annual spring conference in Washington, was expressing disagreement with recent remarks made by famed
neurosurgeon and possible presidential candidate Dr. Ben Carson. Carson had spoken earlier this week with CNN’s Chris Cuomo, brother of New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, regarding whether or not he believes homosexual behavior is a choice.
“A lot of people who go into prison go into prison straight—and when they come out, they’re gay,” he said. “So, did something happen while they were in there? Ask yourself that question.”
Carson, a Seventh Day Adventist,.....Carson continued to receive criticism for his original statement, including from Vice President Joseph Biden, who excoriated the former doctor on Friday while speaking at HRC’s annual convention. “Every ridiculous assertion from Dr. Carson on—I mean, ridiculous. I mean, J****, G**,” he said. “Oh G**. I mean, it’s kind of hard to fathom, isn’t it?”
Biden, a Roman Catholic, is also an abortion advocate in addition to being supportive of homosexuality and transgenderism."

Creation Moment 3/18/2015 - Ashamed "Christians"

If anyone is ashamed of me and my words in this adulterous and sinful generation,
the Son of Man will be ashamed of them
when he comes in his Father's glory with the holy angels.
Mark 8:38 NIV
For those theistic evolutionists ("Christians" who believe in evolution--but believe that "God used it") that say they are "ashamed" of young earth creationists, here is a question:

IF you are ashamed of Genesis 1&2 because you CLAIM that the science doesn't support it, then the "science" doesn't support a talking donkey, the resurrection of the dead, a virgin birth, walking on the water, surviving a fiery furnace, etc....

So what else in Scripture are you ASHAMED of "Christians" who believe in evolution?????

......as people being ashamed steal away when they flee in battle.
2 Samuel 19:3

Chronicles & Elioenai

The books of 1 & 2 Chronicles have more proper names than ALL the other books of antiquity combined. This lends to the historicity of the books.

For example... Elioenai

And the sons of Neariah; Elioenai, and Hezekiah, and Azrikam, three.
1 Chronicles 3:23

Creation Moment 3/17/2015 - Evolutionary Steps to Atheism

That slippery slope of "Christians" who adopt evolutionary thinking that, in most cases, leads to apostasy............

To be an atheist, one has to believe the following:
1-Millions of years of earth history has passed
2-Biological Macro-Evolution
3-God's Word cannot be trusted as written

Since atheists have to have some way of explaining life coming into existence without God, then obviously the slow process of billions of years is required.

ONCE a "Christian" adopts millions of years for the earth -- they have already fulfilled points #1 & 3 of atheism.
Hence, the next step is logical--the acceptance of biological macro-evolution.

BIBLICAL CREATIONISM is a great IMMUNIZER against BACKSLIDING

But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female.

The "Really" File - (Mr. Dollar asks for 65 million dollars)

And Jesus saith unto him,
The foxes have holes,
and the birds of the air have nests;
but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head.
Matthew 8:20

"Pastor Creflo Dollar, founder of World Changers Church International, has launched Project G650, an effort to encourage 200,000 people to donate $300 or more so that he can purchase
a jet that Business Insider recently called, the “biggest, fastest, and overall best private jet money can buy.”
The Gulfstream G650 jet, which runs for around $65 million, would replace the current airplane that the ministry has been using, as it was built in 1984, and, according to a video accompanying the fundraising appeal, the plane, which Dollar has used since 1999, recently experienced serious technical difficulties that put Dollar and his family in danger.
From the "Really" File

With the old airplane officially out of service, the fundraising appeal explains that it is time to replace the aircraft.
“We believe it is time to replace this aircraft so that our Pastors and staff can continue to safely and swiftly share the Good News of the Gospel worldwide,” the explanation continues. “We need your help to continue reaching a lost and dying world for the Lord Jesus Christ.”" TheBlaze

SDA News - Dominican Republic: President Wilson lends a hand

"The Seventh-day Adventist Church’s 29 top leaders traded their laptops and cell phones for paintbrushes and shovels on Wednesday as they constructed a church building—some for the first time—on the Caribbean island of the Dominican Republic.
Ted N.C. Wilson, president of the Adventist Church’s General Conference, led the group ....in taking a break from a weeklong business meeting to assist in the project in the town of La Romana.

The new church building will provide 40 local Adventist members with a place to worship. The structure is larger than a typical One-Day project, with male and female restrooms and a freshwater well that will offer the local community of 12,000 people with drinking water.

Evangelist Mark Finley volunteered to paint the bathroom walls, and he was joined by General Conference vice presidents Ella Simmons and Armando Miranda.

Finley, who just wrapped up a five-day evangelistic series on the island that will result in 3,000 baptisms ... the last day of the PREXAD meeting, said two things were going through his mind as he worked Wednesday: painting correctly and praising God for the opportunity to serve Him.

“It’s wonderful to feel the international flavor with all of us here, to work together to expand the church,” Finley said."

Peter to Church Leaders

The elders which are among you I exhort,

1- who am also an elder,
2- and a witness of the sufferings of Christ,
3- and also a partaker of the glory that shall be revealed:

Be shepherds of God’s flock that is under your care,
watching over them—not because you must, but because you are willing,
as God wants you to be;
not pursuing dishonest gain, but eager to serve;

Neither as being lords over God's heritage,
but being ensamples to the flock.
And when the chief Shepherd shall appear,
ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away.
1 Peter 5:1-4 (vs.2NIV)

Creation Moment 3/16/2015 - We Shall

"And we shall worship and reverence that God the Maker of
all these things; we shall admire and adore his Providence and wonderful Wisdom which is displayed and manifested all over the Universe, to the confusion of those who would have the Earth and all things formed by the shuffling Concourse of Atoms, or to be without beginning."      Christiaan Huygens, Cosmotheoros (1698)

When I consider thy heavens,
the work of thy fingers,
the moon and the stars,
which thou hast ordained;
What is man,
that thou art mindful of him?
and the son of man,
that thou visitest him?
Psalm 8:3,4

SDA News - Sunday "Quiet Riot" brewing?

"In response to the ongoing dialogue and debate surrounding First SDA Church’s
decision to implement Sunday morning worship services, representatives from the Pastoral Evangelism Leadership Council (PELC) have insolently and threateningly voiced their resolution concerning the Sunday worship question, in connection with the issues of women’s ordination and worship styles in an article entitled “No More! Affirming the Need to Ignore Naysayers.” The author, Rebecca Davis, associate pastor of Atlanta’s Berean SDA Church, opens her article by stating “There’s a quiet riot among us. It’s like an underground movement happening right in our midst! It’s because pastors are no longer satisfied with the status quo. There are pastors who are no longer ok with the exclusive, separatist, controlling, traditionalist, one size fits all mentality that has consistently threatened the life of our denomination.”

Davis’ choice of words is intriguing yet calculated, as she juxtaposes the usually peace-loving pastors with a tumultuous throng of rioters, referring to the movement of dissatisfied pastors (of which she belongs), as an underground riot. As she goes on, it becomes very clear that this movement is soon to emerge from the underground and penetrate to the very core of the Seventh-Day Adventist denomination; and indeed it has already begun to show itself.

She continues, “You see no matter how many times you explain to some members or some denominational leaders why space should be given to have Sunday eleven am worship service, no matter how many Ellen White quotes you throw their way, they still will never get it. And I mean, you can talk and argue until you’re blue in the face! We have become so focused on internal battles such as, whether or not ethnic conferences should be dissolved, worship styles, women’s ordination and why we shouldn’t have services on Sunday, that it has effectively restricted our ability to move forward. However, there are so many of us who are standing up saying, ‘No more!’ We, like Hannah, are not content with a portion of meat! God has promised and he can deliver more!”

According to the premise of and sentiments expressed in the article under analysis, the methods of evangelism used in times past to carry forward gospel evangelism, as well as the position to remain true to the historic identity of Adventism, are today outdated, ineffective and inhibit church growth/progress and therefore need to be challenged, changed and new-modeled. “This is not to incite insurrection,” Davis states, “but to state very clearly to the powers that be that we have a systemic problem that dates back to before any of us were thought of."

To that we say, ‘No more!’” Individuals with such opinions as thus expressed, view church growth only from a numeric standpoint and are therefore willing to lower the standards that God has established and use any method (i.e. worldly music, sports, secular entertainment, etc.), in order to facilitate the acceptance of the faith by worldlings, and bring them into a denomination that is almost identical to the popular non-SDA churches. And indeed, an increase in membership has ensued from these endeavors, yet these churches that souls are brought into, in no way resemble the Seventh-day Adventism.

The question is put forth to us in The Great Controversy, “what was the origin of the great apostasy? Looking back centuries before and comparing the state of affairs today, it is undeniable that the very reasons for the origin of this apostasy are prevalent in the Seventh-Day Adventist denomination, which indicates that the great apostasy has reemerged and is in its omega/ending phase.

“What was the origin of the great apostasy? How did the church first depart from the simplicity of the gospel? By conforming to the practices of paganism, to facilitate the acceptance of Christianity by the heathen…During the lives of the apostles the church remained comparatively pure. But ‘toward the latter end of the second century most of the churches assumed a new form; the first simplicity disappeared, and insensibly, as the old disciples retired to their graves, their children, along with new converts . . . came forward and new-modeled the cause…’ To secure converts, the exalted standard of the Christian faith was lowered, and as the result ‘a pagan flood, flowing into the church, carried with it its customs, practices, and idols…’ Great Controversy p.385 E.G.W.

In these times when postmodern thinking, relativism and pluralism have permeated every level of the Seventh-Day Adventist denomination, it is crucial that God’s people return and cling to the old paths and He who designed and Himself trod those paths;" Hilari Henriques

Thus saith the LORD,
Stand ye in the ways, and see,
and ask for the old paths,
where is the good way,
and walk therein,
and ye shall find rest for your souls.
But they said, We will not walk therein.
Jeremiah 6:16

GOSPEL GEM: Will You Be Made Whole?

John 5:2-15

Now there is at Jerusalem by the sheep market a pool,
which is called in the Hebrew tongue Bethesda,
having five porches.
In these lay a great multitude of impotent folk,
of blind, halt, withered,
waiting for the moving of the water.
For an angel went down at a certain season into the pool,
and troubled the water:
whosoever then first after the troubling of the water
stepped in was made whole of whatsoever disease he had.

And a certain man was there, which had an infirmity thirty and eight years.
When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case,
he saith unto him,

Wilt thou be made whole?

The impotent man answered him,
Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool:
but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me.

Jesus saith unto him,
Rise, take up thy bed, and walk.

And immediately the man was made whole,
and took up his bed, and walked:
and on the same day was the Sabbath.
The Jews therefore said unto him that was cured,
It is the sabbath day: it is not lawful for thee to carry thy bed.
He answered them, He that made me whole, the same said unto me, Take up thy bed, and walk.

Then asked they him,
What man is that which said unto thee,
Take up thy bed, and walk?
And he that was healed wist not who it was:
for Jesus had conveyed himself away, a multitude being in that place.

Afterward Jesus findeth him in the temple, and said unto him,
Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee.
The man departed, and told the Jews that it was Jesus, which had made him whole.

Joel Adds - And rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto the LORD your God: for he is gracious and merciful, Joel 2:13
"You cannot atone for your past sins; you cannot change your heart and make yourself holy. But God promises to do all this for you through Christ. You believe that promise. You confess your sins and
give yourself to God. You will to serve Him. Just as surely as you do this, God will fulfill His word to you. If you believe the promise,--believe that you are forgiven and cleansed,--God supplies the fact; you are made whole, just as Christ gave the paralytic power to walk when the man believed that he was healed. It is so if you believe it.
Do not wait to feel that you are made whole, but say, "I believe it; it is so, not because I feel it, but because God has promised."
