He mentioned that God confirmed this

He has fixed a day on which He will judge the world in righteousness by a man whom He has appointed; and of this He has given assurance to all by raising Him from the dead. (Acts 17:30–31)
It was at this point that Scripture says, “Some mocked” (Acts 17:32). This would have included the Epicureans, who (like the Sadducees) did not believe in a bodily resurrection."

6th Church, Seal & Trumpet and the beginning of the Investigative Judgment

"In the historical half of Revelation (Revelation 1-11), the sixth item in each series deals with the beginning of the investigative judgment in 1844. 

*The sixth church (the door to the most holy place opens before

Philadelphia) 

*The sixth seal (signs in the heavens announce the beginning of the judgment) 

*The sixth trumpet (the little book episode and the measuring of the temple). 

There is a very important link between Revelation 9:14, 16 (the sixth trumpet) and Revelation 7:1,2,3 (parenthesis in the sixth seal). 

In both, there is a binding and loosing relating to four angels and there is a numbering of people. 

Revelation 7:1-3 describes the numbering of God’s people while in Revelation 9:14, 16 describes the numbering of their evil counterparts. 

Revelation 9:16 and 7:4 are the only two places in Revelation where the expression ‘I heard their number’ appears. 

If the door of probation is open during the period of the sixth trumpet and closes when the seventh is about to sound, then the sixth trumpet is the exact historical counterpart of Revelation 7:1-8."

The Judgment --- Focal point of history

“DANIEL” means “God is my Judge.” 

The judgment is presented as the focal point of history. 

• It is in the judgment that the stone of Daniel 2 is cut out of the mountain without hands before it smites the image upon its feet. 

• It is in the judgment that Christ receives His kingdom. Daniel 7:9-14 

• It is in the judgment that the sanctuary is cleansed. Daniel 8:14 

So also it is in the judgment that each saint may rejoice saying, “God

is my Judge.” 

Here Jesus blots out the sins of His people and places upon them the seal of the living God. 

In the time of the church’s final conflict with the man of sin, Jesus is the Judge of His people.

He seals them with the perfecting latter rain, and causes them to sound the…  . . .loud cry of the third angel. 

These are the… Daniel 11:44 ...tidings out of the east and out of the north,–which trouble ....the man of sin.

III. The Saints get to Judge During the Millennium:

Sanctuary Doctrine SIMPLIFIED

Now of the things which we have spoken this is the sum: We have such an high priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens; Hebrews 8:1

Truth about the JUDGMENT

"Matthew 12:36 I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. 

In the parables of: 

• the wheat and tares; Matthew 13:24-30; 

• the marriage of the king’s son; Matthew 22:1–14; 

• the talents; Matthew 25:14–30.

The Old Testament as well as the New tells of the judgment. Solomon says, Ecclesiastes 12:13,14 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep His commandments; for this is the whole duty of man. For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.

Daniel 7:9.10 I beheld till the thrones were cast down, and the Ancient of Days did sit, whose garment was white as snow, and the hair of His head like the pure wool; His throne was like the fiery flame, and His wheels as burning fire. Not at Death 

This is not a judgment that is constantly going on during men’s lives and completed at their death, so that then their reward is given, whether for good or ill. 

Hebrews 9:27 It is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment. 

Romans 2:12,16 As many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law; and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law; In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ, according to my gospel.
2 Corinthians 5:10 We must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that everyone may receive the things done in his body, according to what he has done, whether it be good or bad. 

It is not that alone that he has done in his direct personal acts for which he must account; he must answer for the fruit of his doings: Jeremiah 17:10 I the Lord search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.

At the Coming of Christ The time when men shall receive for that

which they have done, whether it be good or bad, is at the coming of Christ, the resurrection of the dead, and the end of the world.
Jude 14,15 And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord comes with ten thousands of His saints, To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against Him. 

With this agree exactly the words of Christ: Revelation 22:12 Behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be."

Declarative Act of the Judgment

"The resurrection of the saints is to immortal life, 

---and they are made immortal in the very act of the resurrection. 

The decision of their cases is, therefore, passed before their resurrection, for the nature of their resurrection is declarative or eternal salvation. 

But the fact that the decision of the judgment in the case of the righteous precedes the advent is proved by another proposition, as follows: The righteous are to be raised before the wicked have their resurrection. This shows that the examination of their cases takes place before they are raised, for the final discrimination is made in the very act of raising the just and leaving the unjust to the resurrection of damnation. 

“But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection; on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.” Rev.20:5,6.

There is a resurrection which bears the inspired designation of the “first resurrection.” 

All who have part in this resurrection are pronounced “blessed and holy.” On them “the second death hath no power.” 

This resurrection is out from among the dead.

Only those who are Christ’s shall have part in it. 

All that have part in it are the children of God because they are the children of the resurrection to life. 

These facts clearly prove that the examination of the cases of the righteous precedes their resurrection at the advent of Christ, that event being really declarative of their innocence in the sight of God, and of their eternal salvation. Roles in the "Judgment"

When?

When the Saints "Judge"

"Now, according to the following verses, judgment is not given to the saints in this life, but in the life to come: 

Revelation 20:4 I saw thrones, and they [the “much people in Heaven,” Revelation 19:1-8] sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them;...and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. 

1 Corinthians 6:2 Do you not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are you unworthy to judge the smallest matters? 

3 Know you not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life? 

1 Corinthians 4:5 Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts; and then shall every man have praise of God. 

From these texts it is plain that: 

• The judgment that is given to the saints is a judgment both of the world and of angels (the evil angels); 

• It does not pertain to this life; 

• It is with Christ in Heaven, where they reign with him a thousand years; and 

• It is given to the saints at the coming of the Lord. This is made emphatic by the closing words of Daniel, quoted above: 

Daniel 7:21 The same horn made war with the saints, and prevailed against them; 22 Until the Ancient of days came, and judgment was given to the saints of the Most High; and the time came that the saints possessed the kingdom."

The righteous judge the wicked

"The righteous are to judge the wicked; yet the righteous are themselves to pass the test of the judgment. 

Whence it follows that the judgment must pass upon the righteous before they can sit in judgment upon the wicked. 

This is a very important proposition.

The "Basic Desert" vs. the Judgment

"Skepticism about moral responsibility, or what is more commonly referred to as moral responsibility skepticism, refers to a family of views that all take seriously the possibility that human beings are never morally responsible for their actions in a particular but pervasive sense.

Versions of moral responsibility skepticism have historically been defended by Spinoza, Voltaire, Nietzsche.....other moral responsibility skeptics have suggested that we understand basic desert moral responsibility in terms of whether it would ever be appropriate for a hypothetical divine all-knowing judge (who didn’t necessarily create the agents in question) to administer differing kinds of treatment (i.e., greater or lesser rewards or punishments) to human agents on the basis of actions that these agents performed during their lifetime (see Caruso & Morris 2017; cf. G. Strawson 1986, 1994). 

The purpose of invoking the notion of a divine judge in the afterlife is to instill the idea that any rewards or punishments issued after death will have no further utility—be it positive or negative. Any differences in treatment to agents (however slight) would therefore seem warranted only from a basic desert sense, and not a consequentialist perspective."

The Judgment Relates To.......

III. The wicked Judge (the wicked Judge that God made the right decision pertaining to their fate)

"It is finished": Did the "Atonement" End At The Cross?

Q: When Christ uttered "It is finished" did the "Atonement" end at the cross as some Christians claim? 

A: No. 

---What was finished was the battle--it was one. There was no turning back. Lucifer had Lost. Christ now had the blood of the Lamb Without Blemish, (And ye shall offer that day when ye wave the sheaf an he lamb without blemish of the first year for a burnt offering unto the LORD.-----But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: Lev. 23:12/1 Pet. 1:19) to take to the Sanctuary for the real day of Atonement known as the Judgment.

 

When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, He said,  

It is finished: 

and He bowed His head, and gave up the ghost.

But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, 

by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, 

not made with hands, Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by His own blood He entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.

 

 For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; 

but into heaven itself, 

now to appear in the presence of God for us: 

Nor yet that He should offer Himself often, as the high priest entereth into the holy place every year with blood of others; 

For then must He often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath He appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself.

Sabbath & the 2nd Veil

But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, ...And after the second veil, the tabernacle which is called the Holiest of all;...But into the second went the high priest alone once every year, not without blood, which he offered for himself, and for the errors of the people....And he said unto me, Unto two thousand and three hundred days (years); then shall the sanctuary be cleansed.

mediation of Jesus in the Holy Place was finished; and He had passed within the second veil; 

---therefore, Christians, who fell asleep before the door was opened in the Most Holy, .... and had not kept the true Sabbath, now rest in hope; for they had not the light, and the test on the Sabbath, which we now have, since that door was opened..... Satan was tempting some of God's people on this point. 

Because so many good Christians have fallen asleep in the triumphs of faith, and have not kept the true Sabbath, they were doubting about it being a test for us now."
