Psalm 80:1 Give ear, O Shepherd of Israel, thou that leadest Joseph like a flock; thou that dwellest [between] the cherubims, shine forth.Psalm 80:3 Turn us again, O God, and cause Thy face to shine; and we shall be saved.
Psalm 80:8 Thou hast brought a vine out of Egypt: Thou hast cast out the heathen, and planted it.
In Egypt, the vine could not prosper, because it was denied the necessary things to produce fruit.
This vine was the same as the natural branch on the tree.
Jesus is the true vine, as we see in the following verse.
Psalm 80:16 [It is] burned with fire, [it is] cut down: they perish at the rebuke of thy countenance."
