"Former singer and songwriter Ray Boltz has ‘married’ his longtime partner, Franco Sperduti, after nearly 20 years together.
Boltz, 72, a prominent recording artist through the late 1980s and 1990s, is perhaps best known for his song “Thank You,” which won the 1990 GMA Dove Award for Song of the Year, as well as “Watch the Lamb”. He briefly retired from music in 2003, separated from his wife, Carol, with whom he had four children, in 2005, and finalized the divorce in 2008.
He reemerged on the music scene in 2010 with his album True, which featured the song “Don’t Tell Me Who to Love,” explicitly defending same-sex relationships. Sometime between 2005 and2009, he entered into a relationship with his booking agent, Franco Sperduti.
The couple moved in together and have been together ever since. Boltz retired again in 2023 without releasing another album.
