Instead, we need to be reminded of what we read in Thessalonians: “And we also thank God constantly for this, that when you received the word of God, which you heard from us, you accepted it not as the word of men but as what it really is, the word of God, which is at work in you believers” (1 Thessalonians 2:13).
And we also need to remember that all of Scripture is God-breathed: “All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work” (2 Timothy 3:16–17).
When you think about it, the first attack (which we read about in Genesis 3:1) was on the Word of God. This attack was from the devil when he asked Eve, “Did God really say?” God warns us through Paul that the devil will use the same method on us as he did on Eve to get us to a position of not believing God’s Word: “But I am afraid that as the serpent deceived Eve by his cunning, your thoughts will be led astray from a sincere and pure devotion to Christ” (2 Corinthians 11:3).
This is a reminder to us that we need to emphasize that the Bible IS the Word of God."
