Micah 6:8 He has showed you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you; but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to humble yourself to walk with God.
---The man is so exalted, so above God, that in order to “walk with” God he must be content to humble himself to the lower plane.
Accordingly, the divine exhortation to man from that day, to this is,
Philippians 2:5-8 Let this mind be you, that was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery [“a thing to be seized upon and held fast as a robber his prey”] to be equal with God; But emptied Himself, took upon Him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
And being found in fashion as a man, He humbled Himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the Cross."
