13 Nov 1906 James A. Coe, aged 62 and a resident of Roanoke, died early Tuesday morning of apoplexy after an illness of a few hours.
Mr. Coe had been a justice of the peace for the past eighteen years and last week was re-elected to the office. He was well known in this city. He was a member of the Grand Army of the Republic, and of the Methodist Church.
Is Survived by the wife and two children, Miss Nora Coe, of Fort Wayne, and Chester Coe, who resides on the old home place a half-mile south of Roanoke.
The funeral services which will be under the charge of the G. A. R. will be held this afternoon at 2 o'clock from the residence."
