After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: Revelation 4:1
Revelation 4&5 is thought to be His inauguration in Heaven after His ascencion.
Preperation for His inauguration as High Priest & Kingship: and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne. And round about the throne were four and twenty seats: The four and twenty elders fall down before him that sat on the throne, and worship him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying, Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created. Revelation 4:2,4,10,11
The Scroll:And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals. Revelation 5:1
Who can open the scroll:And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, Who is worthy to open the book, and to loose the seals thereof? Revelation 5:2
John Weeps: And I wept much, because no man was found worthy to open and to read the book, neither to look thereon. Revelation 5:4
Lion of Judah: And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Juda, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof. And he came and took the book out of the right hand of him that sat upon the throne. Revelation 5:5,7
What was enthronement to involve?
And it shall be, when he sitteth upon the throne of his kingdom, that he shall write him a copy of this law in a book out of that which is before the priests the Levites:
And it shall be with him, and he shall read therein all the days of his life: that he may learn to fear the LORD his God, to keep all the words of this law and these statutes, to do them: Deuteronomy 17:18,19
What did Josiah use the book for?
And the king commanded all the people, saying, Keep the passover unto the LORD your God, as it is written in the book of this covenant. 2 Kings 23:21
Only the Lamb is Worthy to open the Scroll: And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation; Revelation 5:9
Christ is now installed with the scroll as King/Priest- As he saith also in another place, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec. Hebrews 5:6 The Root of David - will gather from all the world: In those days, and at that time, will I cause the Branch of righteousness to grow up unto David; and he shall execute judgment and righteousness in the land. Jeremiah 33:15 And in that day there shall be a root of Jesse, which shall stand for an ensign of the people;And it shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord shall set his hand again the second time to recover the remnant of his people, which shall be left, from Assyria, and from Egypt, and from Pathros, and from Cush, and from Elam, and from Shinar, and from Hamath, and from the islands of the sea. Isaiah 11:10,11
Anointing of the High Priest
Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron's beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments; Psalm 133:2
When you look at the Day of Pentecost you see a link between Christian unity & the anointing of the High Priest: And thou shalt take the garments, and put upon Aaron the coat, and the robe of the ephod, and the ephod, and the breastplate, and gird him with the curious girdle of the ephod: And thou shalt put the mitre upon his head, and put the holy crown upon the mitre. Then shalt thou take the anointing oil, and pour it upon his head, and anoint him. Exodus 29:5-7
The anointing with the Holy spirit (the oil) went down his garmenst as we were told in Psalm 133. At Pentecost, the day for the wave offering of the first fruits, the Holy Spirit dripped all the way down to earth upon the heads of the apostles working in unity:And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, Acts 2;2,3
The Dayof Pentecost gained about 3,000 souls for the first fruits-Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls. Acts 2:41
The real action that day was in Heaven-Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear. Acts 2:33-It was His inauguration in Heaven
