On December 16, 2020, Vatican News reported that Pope Francis

participated in the launch of Mission 4.7, a global educational alliance that has teamed up with the Vatican to promote Pope Francis’ new Global Compact on Education. 

What is the Global Compact on Education? The Global Compact on Education is a world-wide education initiative launched by Pope Francis on October 15, 2020 to create a “change of mentality through education” .... the Pope’s Global Compact on Education promotes “One Humanity,” “Fraternity” and “Laudato Si’.”

 

Now Mission 4.7, a global multi-national and multi-religious organization dedicated to advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, a 17-point goal strategy, has joined with Pope Francis to promote a “new” emphasis on education. They chose the name Mission 4.7 because 4.7 is the educational objective in the UN 17-point goal strategy. Goal 4.7 states:

“Goal 4.7 – By 2030, ensure that all learners acquire the knowledge and skills needed to promote sustainable development, including, among others, through education for sustainable development and sustainable lifestyles, human rights, gender equality, promotion of a culture of peace and non-violence, global citizenship and appreciation of cultural diversity and of culture’s contribution to sustainable development.”

Mission 4.7 was launched on December 16, 2020 and Pope Francis was there to support his new partner in education. Other members of the Vatican were also present along with the leaders of the United Nations. The Vatican and the UN came together during the launch party. 

This is a global effort to educate the entire world population on the

principles of Romanism (Laudto Si’, Fratelli Tutti) and on the immoral agenda of the United Nations that supports abortion, euthanasia and the radical gender theory. This is a plan to coerce the governments of the world to adopt a radical sexual agenda, a radical environmental agenda and Marxist socialism.

 

No Christian can support the UN Sustainable Development Goals or Mission 4.7 which is dedicated to enforcing the UN agenda. It is inappropriate for Pope Francis or anyone who professes to be a Christian to support the launch of Mission 4.7. "Neuroscientists who study memory have long believed that when

we recall these memories, our brains turn on the same hippocampal circuit that was activated when the memory was originally formed. However, MIT neuroscientists have now shown, for the first time, that recalling a memory requires a "detour" circuit that branches off from the original memory circuit.

 

Previous research has shown that encoding these memories involves cells in a part of the hippocampus called CA1, which then relays information to another brain structure called the entorhinal cortex. In each location, small subsets of neurons are activated, forming memory traces known as engrams.

 

Why would the hippocampus need two distinct circuits for memory formation and recall? The researchers found evidence for two possible explanations. 

--One is that interactions of the two circuits make it easier to edit or update memories. As the recall circuit is activated, simultaneous activation of the memory formation circuit allows new information to be added.

 The researchers found that the subiculum connects to a pair of structures in the hypothalamus known as the mammillary bodies, which stimulates the release of stress hormones called corticosteroids. That takes place at least an hour after the fearful memory is recalled.

Scientists made a key breakthrough with the identification of the Arc protein in 1995, observing how its role in the plastic changes in neurons was critical to memory consolidation.

 The researchers knew they were onto something when they captured an image of Arc that looked an awful lot like a viral capsid, the isohedral protein coat that encapsulates a virus’s genetic material for delivery to host cells during infection.

The main issue that challenges neuroscientists’ understanding of

memory is that proteins don’t last very long in the brain, even though memories last nearly a lifetime. 

So for memories to remain, there must be plastic changes, meaning that neuron structures actually have to change as a result of memory consolidation.

This is where Arc comes into play. Previous research on rats illustrated how Arc disrupts memory consolidation, suggesting that Arc is vital in neuronal plasticity.

It turns out the Arc capsid encapsulated its own RNA. When they put the Arc capsids into a mouse brain cell culture, the capsids transferred their RNA to the mouse brain cells — just like viral infection does.

“We went into this line of research knowing that Arc was special in many ways, but when we discovered that Arc was able to mediate cell-to-cell transport of RNA, we were floored,” says the study’s lead author, postdoctoral fellow Elissa Pastuzyn,.... “No other non-viral protein that we know of acts in this way.”

About a decade ago, a group of neurons known as "time cells" was discovered in rats. These cells appear to play a unique role in recording when events take place, allowing the brain to correctly mark the order of what happens in an episodic memory.

 

Located in the brain's hippocampus, these cells show a characteristic activity pattern while the animals are encoding and recalling events, explains Bradley Lega.

By firing in a reproducible sequence, they allow the brain to organize when events happen, Lega says. The timing of their firing is controlled by 5 Hz brain waves, called theta oscillations, in a process known as precession.

 

Lega investigated whether humans also have time cell....What the team found was exciting: Not only did they identify a robust population of time cells, but the firing of these cells predicted how well individuals were able to link words together in time (a phenomenon called temporal clustering). Finally, these cells appear to exhibit phase precession in humans, as predicted.

"For years scientists have proposed that time cells are like the glue that holds together memories of events in our lives," according to Lega.

 

 Researchers have long known that as animals travel a path they've

been on before, neurons encoding different locations along the path will fire in sequence much like time cells fire in the order of temporal events....As rats moved through these spaces, their neurons not only exhibited forward, predictive mini-sequences, but also backward, retrospective mini-sequences. The forward and backward sequences alternated with each other, each taking only a few dozen milliseconds to complete.

"While these animals were moving forward, their brains were constantly switching between expecting what would happen next and recalling what just happened, all within fraction-of-a-second timeframes," Pfeiffer says."

In the March 1551 letter, Calvin hit out at those who criticized certain churches which opted to commemorate the festive period. According to the Geneva Reformer, such questions were “matters of indifference.”

"Physicists connected together a cloud of ytterbium-171 atoms with

streams of photons reflected from a surrounding hall of mirrors and measured the timing of their tiny wiggles.

Their results show that entangling atoms in this way could speed up the time-measuring process of atomic nuclei clocks, making them more precise than ever. In principle, a clock based on this new approach would lose just 100 milliseconds since the dawn of time itself.

Similar to other cutting-edge clocks based on the nuclei of atoms of caesium and thorium, time in this kind of setup is divided by oscillations in a ytterbium nucleus after it absorbs a specific energy of light.

Since ytterbium's core can be made to hum at a rate 100,000 times

faster than the nucleus of a caesium atom, it makes for a far more precise time-keeping mechanism.

But there comes a point when quantum physics says it's impossible to say exactly where an atom's oscillations start and stop. This Standard Quantum Limit (SQL) acts like a blur on the atomic pendulum; you might have a faster ticking clock, but what good does it do if you can't even measure it?

One trick is to record the frequencies of multiple atoms humming all at once within a lattice consisting of hundreds of tiny atomic pendulums. Current atomic clock technologies use lasers engineered to be as stable as possible, providing each atom with an extremely similar frequency of light. By combining their collective blur, individual uncertainties average out.

 

This new method goes a step further in this averaging process. By connecting atoms together in a way that entangles the quantum probabilities of their spins, it's possible to redistribute the uncertainty in the system, increasing the precision in some parts at the expense of others.

"It's like the light serves as a communication link between atoms," says MIT physicist Chi Shu.

"The first atom that sees this light will modify the light slightly, and that light also modifies the second atom, and the third atom, and through many cycles, the atoms collectively know each other and start behaving similarly."

In this case, the team found entanglement made the measurement process roughly three times faster compared with clocks acting at the SQL.

That might not seem all that dramatic, but a speed boost could be just

the thing we need to study some of the more subtle influences the Universe has on time.

"As the Universe ages, does the speed of light change? Does the charge of the electron change?" says lead researcher Vladan Vuletic from MIT.

"That's what you can probe with more precise atomic clocks."

"Interestingly, there is a growing body of work showing that there is communication between the gut and brain, now commonly dubbed the gut–brain axis. The disruption of the gut–brain axis contributes to a diverse range of diseases, including Parkinson’s disease and

irritable bowel syndrome. 

Consequently, the developing field of gut–brain axis research is rapidly growing. In 2013, a couple of studies showed that high salt intake leads to profound immune changes in the gut, resulting in increased vulnerability of the brain to autoimmunity—when the immune system attacks its own healthy cells and tissues by mistake, suggesting that perhaps the gut can communicate with the brain via immune signaling.

Research published in “Nature Neuroscience” shows another connection: immune signals sent from the gut can compromise the

brain’s blood vessels, leading to deteriorated brain heath and cognitive impairment. Surprisingly, the research unveils a previously undescribed gut–brain connection mediated by the immune system and indicates that excessive salt might negatively impact brain health in humans through impairing the brain’s blood vessels regardless of its effect on blood pressure.

This research proposes new therapeutic targets for countering stroke—the second leading cause of death worldwide—and cognitive dysfunction. Reducing salt intake is applicable to people around the globe, as nearly every adult consumes too much salt: on average 9–12 grams per day or around twice the recommended maximum level of intake (5 grams) by the World Health Organization.

The researchers used mice, and found that immune responses in the small intestines set off a cascade of chemical responses reaching the brain’s blood vessels, reducing blood flow to the cortex and hippocampus, two brain regions crucial for learning and memory. This, in turn, brought a decline in tests of cognitive performance. The impairment in learning and memory was clear even in the absence of high blood pressure; they observed that the gut is reacting to the salt overload and directing immune signals that lay the basis for deterioration throughout the brain’s vital

vascular complex and compromise cognitive function. While this study has only been carried out on research animals so far, the scientists believe it's likely that much of the same applies to people.

Lowering salt intake has been shown to have beneficial effects to overall health, so the researchers wanted to know whether these effects extend to this newly identified signaling cascade that begins in the gut and targets the brain’s blood vessels to, ultimately, affect cognitive function. When the mice were returned to a normal diet after being on a high salt diet, the detrimental health effects caused by excess salt intake were erased.

The implications of this newly identified gut–brain connection

extend to several autoimmune disorders, including multiple sclerosis, rheumatoid arthritis, psoriasis, and inflammatory bowel disease, that have been shown to activate the same immune signaling pathway implicated in this study. These autoimmune disorders have a high stroke risk and are linked to poorly functioning blood vessels in the nervous system." ScientificAmerican

"American southwest, where a wild mink has reportedly tested

positive for COVID-19 in Utah - the first example of a wild animal testing positive for the virus in the US.  

But as the NY Post remarked, since the animal tested was a wild mink, it's possible mutated forms of COVID-19 might be "running wild" in America.

"To our knowledge, this is the 1st free-ranging, native wild animal confirmed with SARS-CoV-2," the US Department of Agriculture said Monday in a statement announcing the alarming discovery.

The mink tested positive during what was apparently a routine test of various wild animal species carried out by the FDA. True random numbers are required in fields as diverse as slot machines and data encryption. These numbers need to be truly random, such that they cannot even be predicted by people with detailed knowledge of the method used to generate them.

As a rule, they are generated using physical methods. For instance, thanks to the tiniest high-​frequency electron movements, the electrical resistance of a wire is not constant but instead fluctuates slightly in an unpredictable way. That means measurements of this background noise can be used to generate true random numbers.

For this new approach, the ETH researchers apply the synthesis of DNA molecules, an established chemical research method frequently employed over many years. It is traditionally used to produce a precisely defined DNA sequence. In this case, however, the research team built DNA molecules with 64 building block positions, in which one of the four DNA bases A, C, G and T was randomly located at each position. The scientists achieved this by using a mixture of the four building blocks, rather than just one, at every step of the synthesis.

As a result, a relatively simple synthesis produced a combination of approximately three quadrillion individual molecules. The scientists subsequently used an effective method to determine the DNA sequence of five million of these molecules. This resulted in 12 megabytes of data, which the researchers stored as zeros and ones on a computer.

However, an analysis showed that the distribution of the four building blocks A, C, G and T was not completely even. Either the intricacies of nature or the synthesis method deployed led to the bases G and T being integrated more frequently in the molecules than A and C. Nonetheless, the scientists were able to correct this bias with a simple algorithm, thereby generating perfect random numbers.

The main aim of ETH Professor Grass and his team was to show that random occurrences in chemical reaction can be exploited to generate perfect random numbers. Translating the finding into a direct application was not a prime concern at first. “Compared with other methods, however, ours has the advantage of being able to generate huge quantities of randomness that can be stored in an extremely small space, a single test tube,” Grass says. “We can read out the information and reinterpret it in digital form at a later date.
