Creation Moment 8/6/2018 - Lizard Feet

"How lizards got their big feet (Nature). The editors of the world’s leading science journal hold this just-so story up as an example of “natural selection in action,” but it’s really a story about the elimination of lizards, not the creation of new traits. Just like some people have bigger feet than others, some Caribbean lizards have bigger toes than others. The ones with smaller toes get swept off the islands in hurricanes.

Serendipity can go only so far. The researchers hadn’t marked the lizards, so they

couldn’t identify and track the fate of individuals. But they found clear trends of natural selection in action. In general, anoles found after the storms had bigger toepads, longer forelimbs and shorter hindlimbs than did lizards collected before the storm.

The scientists further showed their misunderstanding of Darwin’s theory by blowing existing modern lizards with leaf blowers! Of course some individual lizards would be able to hang on longer than others. But do you really think the scientists watched lizards evolve longer legs? They didn’t prove anything about evolution except the bias of Nature to promote any silly story that sings praises to Darwin."

Counterfeit "Mystery"

"What is the “mystery of iniquity?” The phrase suggests another –the “mystery of godliness.” Paul writing to Timothy says (1 Timothy 2:16): -“Without controversy great is the mystery of

godliness.”

These two phrases stand alone in the Bible. We read but once of the “mystery of godliness,” and but once of the “mystery of iniquity.”

They stand over against each other: the “mystery of iniquity,” fashioning its outward character and semblance upon the “mystery of godliness,” making it its pattern, till at last the “mystery of iniquity” presents itself to the world a perfect imitation and counterfeit of the “mystery of godliness.”

Seeing the two mysteries stand so related to each other,

the one mystery interprets the other.

The “mystery of iniquity,” which stands over against the “mystery of godliness” as its parallel and counterfeit, must be like it –like it in having its source outside the world, like it in its slow and gradual development, and like it in its final culmination. Of it, too, we must say it is not the development of a system only, it is the development of a person. It is the gathering together of all the principles of evil, and the marshalling of them into one organization or host, and their embodiment at last in a representative person or head –Antichrist.

Just as the “mystery of godliness” is not merely the manifestation of the system of godliness, but the manifestation of God Himself, so the “mystery of iniquity” is not merely the manifestation of the system of iniquity, but the manifestation of the person or author of iniquity. The prophecy brings before us two mysteries, the one the counterfeit in all points of the other.

We have the one mystery culminating at last in an incarnation, God manifest in the flesh. We see the other in like manner culminating in an incarnation, in a loose sense; for all its principles concentrate themselves in and show themselves to the world through its living head on earth, Antichrist.

We may go even farther and say that there is as real an incarnation of the spirit and mind of Satan in the “mystery of iniquity,” as there is of the spirit and mind of God in the “mystery of godliness.”

And as in Christ God and man meet; so in Antichrist, his counterfeit and rival, the human and the superhuman meet and act together –earth-born man and angel fallen."

There is NOTHING in the Christian Holy Book calling for confessions to another human of one's private sins...hence the confessional isn't part of the "Christian" faith, therefore it shouldn't be protected under the guise as a freedom of religion issue....sooooooooooooo....you know what the Christian Holy Book says in that case--

"John Benefield (in the United Kingdom) was both a baker and a Conscientious Objector. Working in an essential industry he was exempt from the armed service as his skills were needed at home.

..., every few months he had to attend a tribunal in order to re-establish his status. This took place in a court house 13 miles from his home in Bournemouth. As losses mounted the Tribunal became more strict, constantly looking for any loop hole they could to dispatch even essential workers to the front. His granddaughter, Elizabeth Yap, recalls that, “My grandfather attended 13 of these tribunals during the course of the war, leaving his wife and six children at home to pray for a good result.”

IN the NEWS - New Age in 2020?

The takeaway from this is that there is no criticism of her views....what if she was a true Christian, who personally was opposed to gay marriage or supportive of religious freedom as it relates to business owners being forced to service gay weddings (that sanctions the activity) or gay pride parades (that celebrate the activity)?...the whole article would be full of criticism of that aimed at her...but if she's new age, well....besides, she won't likely run but rather is promoting her name in the public arena for her book sales, etc.

"New Age author Marianne Williamson was in Iowa earlier this week meeting with Democratic activists to explore the possibility of a presidential campaign.
Tom Henderson, a prominent Democratic activist in the state, told the Guardian that Williamson said she was “just looking into it and not a candidate yet”.

Williamson is a prominent New Age author who has written New York Times best sellers, most recently Tears to Triumph about “the spiritual journey from suffering to enlightenment”.
One source said Williamson took meetings in the Des Moines area and also in Fairfield, Iowa, a rural town that is home to the Maharishi University of Management and has a thriving community of practitioners of transcendental meditation.

Williamson’s interest in a potential presidential bid is a sign of how broad the Democratic field in 2020 might be. Dozens of Democrats have been mooted as candidates and Williamson would have competition even for the “yoga vote”.

Ohio congressman Tim Ryan has reportedly said that he is hoping to court that demographic if he mounts a bid. Ryan, a Rust Belt Democrat who mounted an unsuccessful challenge to Nancy Pelosi for minority leader, has long practiced and advocated for meditation." TheGuardian

"A church group is being pressured to cancel two speakers at a conference in Pugwash, N.S., next month, amid concerns they promote a homophobic message to young people.

The event at Camp Pugwash, a venue owned by the Maritime Conference of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, is scheduled to run from July 20 to 28, in a weeklong conference open to families.
Michael Carducci and Danielle Harrison are invited as "youth speakers" at the event. They are leaders of Coming Out Ministries, an Ohio-based Christian group led by "redeemed souls" who tell their personal stories about being "freed from the chains of homosexuality" to follow God.

The Seventh-day Adventist Church confirmed on Thursday evening that the speakers will not make their scheduled presentation.
"There have been incorrect reports that a presentation on conversion therapy was going to be given, but the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Canada does not endorse such practices," reads an emailed statement from Dan Weber, the communications director of the church's North American division.
In the wake of the controversy over the speakers, Nova Scotia's interim PC Leader Karla MacFarlane said she plans to introduce a bill this fall that would outlaw conversion therapy."
