Creation Moment 4/11/2024 - Black Hole Oceans (Cosmic Steam Baths)

Sing, O ye heavens; for the LORD hath done it:.... I am the LORD that maketh all things; that stretcheth forth the heavens alone; that spreadeth abroad the earth by Myself;
Isaiah 44:23,24

"Scientists have made an incredible discovery: they found a ginormous amount of water in a black hole 12 billion light-years away.
An ocean in the heart of a black hole!

How much water are we talking about? Well, it’s so much that if you took all the
water from Earth’s oceans and multiplied it by 140 trillion, you’d get close.
But wait, what’s a black hole? Picture it like a cosmic vacuum cleaner sucking in everything nearby, even light.
This black hole, called a quasar, is not just any black hole; it’s like a supermassive one munching on gas and dust and spewing out tons of energy.
Bradford wrote “It’s another demonstration that water is pervasive throughout the universe, even at the very earliest times.”
Now, why is this discovery a big deal?
Well, according to NASA, astronomers had expected to find water vapor present in the distant universe, however, it has not been detected at this range before.
It’s like finding a drop of water in the middle of a desert, but on a galactic scale.
And this water isn’t just sitting there; it’s swirling around the black hole, creating a sort of cosmic steam bath. And there’s 140 trillion times the amount of water in all of the world’s oceans.
We’d put that into context, but it’s impossible to do. That’s how much water is there.
They studied a quasar called APM 08279+5255, which sounds like a mouthful, but it’s your basic giant black hole 20 billion times bigger than the Sun with as much energy as a thousand trillion suns.
This discovery, though, isn’t just about the water. It’s about getting closer to understanding how the universe works."

Creation Moment 7/17/2022 - S2 Quandry for Long Age Cosmology

Where is the way where light dwelleth?
and as for darkness, where is the place thereof,...
Job 38:19

"Another star, dubbed S2, or S0-2, orbits the black hole in sixteen
years and is also problematic for mainstream theorists. Astronomers think it is a young, hot blue ‘main sequence’ star.
But they acknowledge “[i]t is challenging to explain the presence of such a young star in close proximity to a supermassive black hole.”
By evolutionary reckoning, S2 had to have formed less than 10 million years ago. But the strong tidal forces near S2’s present location seem to preclude that it could have formed there.

Q: Could it have formed farther away and then migrated inward?
A: Perhaps, but this process would require a very “efficient” migration process, yet “[c]urrent understanding of the distribution of stars [here], however, does not permit such efficient migration.”

---In other words, the migration process should have taken more than 10 million years, longer than the ‘main sequence’ lifetime of the star! Simply put, by evolutionary reckoning, S2 should not exist." ICR

Creation Moment 7/2/2021 - How about this for how they "form"......

"Until recently, scientists did not think it was possible for a stellar black hole to have a mass larger than 20 times that of the sun.
But that assumption was metaphorically crushed in the gravity of a “monsterblack hole that scientists discovered inside our own galaxy. The hole has a mass 70 times that of the sun.

No one has ever seen a 70-solar-mass stellar black hole anywhere,” Joel Bregman, one of the study authors and a professor of astronomy at the University of Michigan, said in an interview. “This is the first.”

The newly discovered black hole, named LB-1.....“Black holes of such mass should not even exist in our Galaxy, according to most of the current models of stellar evolution,” Liu Jifeng, a professor...“… Now theorists will have to take up the challenge of explaining its formation.”

Our own galaxy, the Milky Way, has a supermassive black hole in the center that has a mass of about 4 million suns. How supermassives form is unclear, Bregman said...." ePocket

Creation Moment 9/9/2020 - When the Creation does the "Impossible"

....that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in...
Is. 40:22

"The most massive black hole collision ever detected has been directly observed by the LIGO and VIRGO Scientific Collaboration....The short gravitational wave signal, GW190521, captured by the LIGO and Virgo gravitational wave observatories in the United States and Europe came from two highly spinning, mammoth black holes weighing in at a massive 85 times and 66 times the mass of the Sun, respectively.

But that is not the only reason this system is very special. The larger of the two black holes is considered “impossible.” Astronomers predict that stars between 65 – 130 times the mass of the Sun undergo a process called pair instability, resulting in the star being blown apart, leaving nothing behind.

With a mass of 85 solar masses, the larger black hole falls squarely in that forbidden range, referred to as the upper black hole mass gap, and should be “impossible.”
So if it wasn’t created by the collapse of a star, how did it form?

The `impossible’ black hole formed by the collision lies in the black hole desert between 100 and 1,000 times the mass of the Sun,” Professor Scott said. “But it is also possible that this system consisted of two primordial black holes that formed in the early Universe."

Creation Moment 9/1/2020 - Quasar 3C279

And though I ....understand all mysteries, and all knowledge;... and have not love, I am nothing.
1 Corinthians 13:2

We've said it before---Black Holes sound like the Battery Chargers placed in each Galaxy by the Designer.

"A new letter has been found in the mysterious alphabet of black holes. Two astrophysicists share this discovery in the journal
Nature Communications.

Black holes are at the center of almost all galaxies that have been studied so far. They have an unimaginably large mass and therefore attract matter, gas, and even light. But they can also emit matter in the form of plasma jets — a kind of plasma beam that is ejected from the center of the galaxy with tremendous energy. A plasma jet can extend several hundred thousand light years far into space.

When this intense radiation is emitted, the black hole remains hidden because the light rays near it are strongly bent leading to the appearance of a shadow. This was recently reported by researchers of the Event Horizon Telescope (EHT) collaboration for the massive black hole in the giant ellipse galaxy M87.

In quasar 3C279 – also a black hole – the EHT team found another phenomenon: At a distance of more than a thousand times the shadow of the black hole, the core of a plasma jet suddenly lit up. How the energy for this jet could get there as if through an invisible chimney was not yet known.

But back to the quasar 3C279: “I saw how the analysis of the data
revealed the special pattern of magnetic reconnection in the light curve. It felt as if I had suddenly deciphered a hieroglyph in the black hole alphabet,” says Amit Shukla happily.

During reconnection, energy that is initially stored invisibly in the magnetic field is suddenly released in numerous “mini-jets.” In these jets, particles are accelerated, which then produce the observed gamma radiation.
Magnetic reconnection would explain how the energy reaches the jet’s core from the black hole and where it ultimately comes from."

Creation Moment 8/24/2020 - Milky Way Mystery

And though I .... understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; ...and have not Love, I am nothing
1 Corinthians 13:2

Is this some of that Solar System Battery Charger activity that Black Holes may be serving as a purpose?

"An international team of researchers has discovered a dense, cold gas that’s been shot out from the center of the Milky Waylike
bullets.”
Exactly how the gas has been ejected is still a mystery.
The center of the Milky Way is home to a massive black hole, but it’s unclear whether this black hole has expelled the gas, or whether it was blown by the thousands of massive stars at the center of the galaxy.
We don’t know how ... the black hole ....can produce this phenomenon. We’re still looking for the smoking gun, but it gets more complicated the more we learn about it,” lead author Dr. Enrico Di Teodoro from Johns Hopkins University said.
This is the first time something like this has been observed in our galaxy. We see these kind of processes happening in other galaxies.

Creation Moment 8/13/2020 - Universe Battery Charger Mysteries

And though I .... understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; ...and have not Love, I am nothing
1 Corinthians 13:2
"A team from the Astronomical Observatory of the University of Valencia has managed to observe the black hole of the active galaxy PKS1830-211 right during the most violent gamma-ray energy event ever registered in that source.

Scientists have discovered very rapid changes in the structure of its magnetic field that confirm the predictions of the main models of gamma-ray production in black holes. The phenomenon, observed through the ALMA telescope, contributes new data to the study on the origin of the most energetic radiation in the Universe.
Some of the most massive and distant black holes in the Universe emit an enormous amount of extraordinarily energetic radiation, called ‘gamma rays.’

This type of radiation occurs, for example, when mass is converted into energy during fission reactions that run nuclear reactors on Earth. But in the case of black holes, gamma radiation is even more energetic than that obtained in nuclear reactors and is produced by very different processes; there, the gamma rays are created by collisions between light rays and highly energetic particles, born in the vicinity of black holes by means of mechanisms still poorly understood.

As a result of these collisions between light and matter, the energetic particles give almost all their momentum to the light rays and turn them into the gamma radiation that ends up reaching Earth.

The astronomical scientific community suspects that these collisions occur in regions permeated by powerful magnetic fields subjected to highly variable processes, such as turbulence and magnetic reconnections – magnetic fields that fuse together releasing an astonishing amount of energy – that could be occurring in the jets of matter expelled by black holes.
But probing these magnetic fields so far from Earth – some of these black holes are billions of light-years away – requires a very sensitive instrumentation and to find the exact moment when the emission of high energy takes place.

In a recently published article in the journal Astronomy &
Astrophysics, the scientists report observations of the black hole called PKS1830-211.
These observations demonstrate that the magnetic fields in the region where the most energetic particles of the black-hole’s jet are produced were changing their structure notably in a time interval of only a few minutes. “This implies that magnetic processes are originating in very small and turbulent regions, just as the main models of gamma-ray production in black holes predict, which relate turbulence to gamma radiation,” explains Iván Martí-Vidal. “On the other hand, the changes that we have detected took place during a very powerful gamma-ray episode, which allows us to robustly relate them to the high-energy emission. All this brings us a little closer to understanding the origin of the most energetic radiation in the Universe,” he adds."

Creation Moment 1/23/2020 - "Blown Away"

Job 22:12
What are Black Holes doing Roaming about the outskirts?
Only the CREATOR knows why and for what purpose.
Contemplate the Power of an entity that can speak these into existence....you might be "Blown Away" too....

"Astronomers have observed 111 nearby dwarf galaxies within one billion light-years from Earth. They have identified 13 dwarf
galaxies that host very massive black holes.
These galaxies, more than 100 times less massive than our own Milky Way, are among the smallest galaxies known to host massive black holes.
In roughly half of these galaxies, the black hole is not at the center of the galaxy.
The black holes have an average mass of about 400,000 solar masses.
All of the black holes I had found before were in the centers of galaxies,” said Dr. Amy Reines, an astrophysicist at Montana State University.
These were roaming around the outskirts. I was blown away when I saw this.”

Creation Moment 11/30/2019 - Upending Evolutionary Cosmology

Knowest thou the ordinances of heaven? Job 38:33

"An international team of astronomers has discovered an exceptionally massive black hole of stellar origin with a mass 68 times that of the Sun.
Black holes of such mass should not even exist in our Milky Way Galaxy, according to most of the current models of stellar evolution,” said Dr. Jifeng Liu.
The newly-discovered black hole is twice as massive as what we thought possible. Now theorists will have to take up the challenge of explaining its formation.”
The newfound black hole is part of LB-1, a star-black-hole binary system located some 13,800 light-years away in the constellation of Gemini.
This discovery forces us to re-examine our models of how stellar black holes form,” said Professor David Reitze."

Creation Moment 5/11/2019 - Shaking Spacetime for What?

And God said, Let there be light: Genesis 1:3
So could it be that these Gravitational Waves the forces used by the Creator for producing Dark Energy-sort of the Glue of the Universe?...-OR-...do these Ripples in Spacetime work as the conduit for Black Holes serving as a sort of Battery to run Galaxies?
Who Knows?...Just some thoughts on the Functioning of the Creator's Creation.

"Seekers of gravitational waves are on a cosmic scavenger hunt.

Since the Advanced Laser Interferometer Gravitational-wave Observatory turned on in 2015, physicists have caught these ripples in spacetime from several exotic gravitational beasts — and scientists want more.

Physicists using the LIGO and Virgo observatories
are catching all sorts of cosmic collisions,
including of pairs of neutron stars (illustrated).
But scientists hope to bag even more exotic quarry.
This week, LIGO and its partner observatory Virgo announced five new possible gravitational wave detections in a single month, making what was once a decades-long goal almost commonplace.

LIGO’s first catch was a pair of colliding black holes, each around 30 times the mass of the sun.
The experiment detected vibrations from the merging black holes on September 14, 2015, four days before the official start of observations for the freshly upgraded LIGO.
That first discovery proved that massive, moving objects do in fact shake spacetime to produce gravitational waves, as Einstein predicted a century earlier. Not only that, the find proved that experiments on Earth could detect those waves, something of which Einstein was skeptical.

Another type of merger that could spawn ripples in spacetime is like the chocolate-vanilla swirl at an ice cream stand: one black hole and one neutron star merging into a single object. The observatories saw a possible signature of this kind of merger on April 26, but the signal was too weak for scientists to be sure."ScienceNews

Creation Moment 5/5/2019 - Galaxy Batteries?

Are Black Holes some sort of "Battery" for Galaxies placed in them by the Creator?...Just a Thought...

distance of about 7,800 light-years from Earth. In this type of binary, material flows from the star towards the black hole and gathers in an accretion disk, where it is heated up, shining brightly at optical, UV and X-ray wavelengths before spiraling into the black hole. Powerful jets are one of the main ways in which such black holes provide feedback to their surroundings. In a paper published this week in the journal Nature, astronomers report a rapidly changing jet orientation — on a time scale of minutes to hours — in the V404 Cygni system, detected during the peak of its 2015 outburst.

NASA’s Swift satellite detected a new outburst on June 15, 2015, triggering a worldwide observing effort.
Everybody jumped on the outburst with whatever telescopes they could throw at it. So we have this amazing observational coverage,” said Dr. James Miller-Jones.

Like many black holes, it’s feeding on a nearby star, pulling gas away from the star and forming a disk of material that encircles the black hole and spirals towards it under gravity.”

When the astronomers studied the V404 Cygni black hole, they saw its jets behaving in a way never seen before.
Where jets are usually thought to shoot straight out from the poles of black holes, these jets were shooting out in different directions at different times. And they were changing direction very quickly."

Creation Moment 3/4/2019 - What's Swirling Out There?

What purpose does this swirling potential super massive black hole serve in the running of our galaxy? What wonders of the architecture of the Creator be discovered next?
Knowest thou it, ...because the number of thy days is great?
Job 38:21

"Astronomers know that supermassive black holes, more than 100,000 times the mass of the Sun, inhabit the centers of most galaxies.

But scattered across the Universe are a few apparent black holes of a more mysterious type.
Ranging from 100 to 100,000 solar masses, these intermediate-mass black holes are so hard to measure that even their existence is sometimes disputed.
Dr. Shunya Takekawa from the National Astronomical Observatory of Japan and co-authors used ALMA to perform high resolution observations of HCN-0.009-0.044, a gas cloud moving strangely near the center of the Milky Way.
They concluded that HCN-0.009-0.044 is swirling around an invisible massive object.
Detailed kinematic analyses revealed that an enormous mass — 32,000 times that of the Sun — was concentrated in a region much smaller than our Solar System,” Dr. Takekawa said.
HCN-0.009-0.044 is located at a projected distance of just 23 light-years from Sagittarius A*, the supermassive black hole at the center of our Galaxy."

Creation Moment 8/2/2017 - "Black Holes"

"Black holes may or may not exist. If they do exist, they are invisible, weigh billions of tons, and are smaller that a kernel of corn!

While they have become popular with science-fiction buffs in recent years, black holes were first
proposed some 200 years ago by French astronomer Pierre Laplace.
Laplace reasoned that a star must collapse when it dies, that is, when it consumes all its fuel. Because of its enormous gravitational pull, it would cave in on itself. It would shrink to the size of the moon, down to the size of a basketball, then finally it would effectively have no size at all.
When a star collapses below a certain radius, it would become so dense, and its gravitational pull so strong, that even light could not escape (hence the name ‘black hole’). Matter inside a black hole would be so dense that a piece less than one centimeter across could weigh as much as planet earth!

No black holes have yet been positively identified, and not all astronomers accept their existence. But even if black holes do exist, they give no support to the theory of evolution. Black holes are simply in line with the fact that the universe is decaying. Things do not spontaneously improve and become more orderly, as evolution theory would have people believe. They decay, run down, and lose their orderliness." CMI

Creation Moment 2/16/2017 - Wave Transport

It is He who sits above the circle of the earth,
and its inhabitants are like grasshoppers,
who stretches out the heavens like a curtain,
and spreads them out like a tent to dwell in.
Isaiah 40:22

"Earthquakes generate waves within the earth, p-waves that propagate along the direction of the wave, and s-waves that propagate transverse (or perpendicular) to the direction of the wave. All these are examples of what are generally classified as mechanical waves, i.e., waves that result from the oscillation (rhythmic movement) of matter. This type of movement transfers energy through space
occupied by matter.

A second general wave classification is the electromagnetic wave, which does not require the presence of matter in order to transfer energy through space. Rather, it is the result of vibrations in the electrical and magnetic fields. Electromagnetic waves, unlike mechanical waves, can propagate through the apparent vacuum of outer space as well as through matter itself. When propagating through outer space, electromagnetic waves vibrate in planes perpendicular to the direction of motion. These are transverse waves. Electromagnetic waves familiar to our everyday experience include visible light, microwaves, and radio waves. Less familiar are gamma rays from radioisotope decay.

A third general wave classification is the gravitational wave. These waves are literally “ripples” in the space-time continuum caused by some of the most violent and energetic processes in our universe. This type of wave oscillates in the transverse plane like an electromagnetic wave, but its possible polarization states are not described by a transverse vector like electromagnetic waves but are rather described by a transverse second rank tensor.

All waves have four characteristics that describe their propagation through the space-time continuum.
  1. The first is amplitude (h), which describes the size or strength of a given wave. If the wave is passing through a medium, it describes the stretching or squeezing of that medium as the wave passes through it.
  2. A second characteristic is frequency (ν), which describes how the wave oscillates in the medium it passes through.
  3. Wavelength (λ) is the third characteristic. It’s the spatial distance between maximum points of stretch or compression in the wave.
  4. Finally, speed (v) is the velocity with which a given point on the wave travels through space.
The last three characteristics are related, and this relation is expressed as v = λν.

For example, the gravitational waves from the cataclysmic final merger of GW150914 (a binary black hole) reached Earth, as a ripple in space-time that changed the length of the 4-km LIGO (Laser Interferometer Gravitational-Wave Observatory) arm by only one ten-thousandth the width of a proton—proportionally equivalent to changing the distance from our solar system to the nearest star by one hair’s width.
How much energy was released by the massive merger, and what was the frequency and wavelength of the gravitational wave?
First, we can estimate the energy released by calculating the energy equivalent of the missing mass after the merger. Before the merger, the total mass of both black holes was 36 + 29 solar masses, or approximately 65 solar masses. After the merger, a single black hole with a solar mass of 62 remained. What happened to the missing three solar masses? It was turned into the energy transported by the subsequent gravitational wave throughout the universe.
Using Einstein’s famous equation E = mc2, where E is the energy equivalent of the missing mass and c is the speed of light, we can estimate the energy released as gravitational waves.
E = mc2 = 3 × (1.989 × 1030kg)(2.99792 × 108m/sec.)
         ≈ 5.4 × 1047 kg m2/sec2 = 5.4 × 1047 joules

So what exactly is this space-time continuum that oscillates like an electric quadrapole when mass is accelerated? How can gravitational waves transport massive amounts of energy through an apparent
vacuum?... Does this indicate that the apparent vacuum of outer space actually has a structure, fabric, or field we have yet to discover—that even empty space is “something” rather than “nothing”? Does the space-time continuum provide a transport mechanism for the natural phenomena we observe such as gravitational waves? This recent scientific discovery seems to confirm the Bible’s implication that space is a real entity with measurable properties.
God designed each aspect of reality to function in very specific ways that sustain life on Earth, and we are only beginning to understand the space-time continuum—the curtain God stretched out in the beginning." ICR

Creation Moment 4/14/2016 - Black (Loop) Hole?

They come from a far country,
from the end of heaven,
even the LORD,
and the weapons of his indignation,
to destroy the whole land.
Isaiah 13:5
"If you believe the creations of fiction, black holes serve as gateways to other worlds, either distant parts of this universe or other universes entirely. But the reality might be more complicated than that. And outside of the sci-fi realm, dropping into a black hole is a bad idea.
Even so, it turns out that people who enter a black hole would have at least a slight chance of escaping, either back into their own world or to some exotic place. This is because black holes actually bend space itself, and so could bring points that are ordinarily distant from each other much closer together.
An oft-used analogy is the bending of a piece of paper. If you draw a line on the paper, it follows the paper's shape and the line's length is unchanged by bending the paper. But if you go through the paper, the end points of the line are much closer to one another. Understanding this requires diving into Einstein's theory of relativity as applied to gravity." LiveScience
Do BLACK HOLES even exist? IF so, does God  (or angels, etc.) use this for time travel?  Maybe, Maybe Not....WHO KNOWS?
