This festival is listed as an official United Nations “Intangible
Cultural Heritage” event and commemorates the start of spring.
The festival attracts over a million people from all over the world.
This year’s Fallas de Valencia is scheduled to take place from March 15,
2022, to March 19, 2022.
To commemorate Fallas 2022, members of the
LGBT+ community have created a special poster. Mary, the mother of
Jesus, is depicted as a drag queen on the poster. “Drag Queens” are men
who dress up as women to show their support for the LGBT+ community.

As a result, Jesus’ mother was a man who pretended to be a woman. The poster also depicts
some half-naked worshipper and a second man in a black dress bowing to
Jesus and His LGBT+ mother.
The poster starred a drag queen from
Valencia by the name of Liz Dust, and the aim was to promote Fallas de
Valencia as an event that is “inclusive and welcoming.”
The poster’s
