BELOW is an example of the danger of magazines like Spectrum that foster rebellion and plant seeds of confusion in the heart of people. This person, being an Adventist, is so confused about the state of the dead....and I would argue Spectrums questioning everything mentality is partly to blame.
Q: How can an Adventist be so weak minded spiritually?
A: Spectrum Magazine
"A simple story: My mother-in-law lay in the New England Memorial Hospital (The San) dying, one October. One of her former pastors dropped by and spoke with her, saying things like "Fear not, Jesus is with you." She, having just come back to consciousness from some "edge", looked bewildered, and startled everyone by responding, "No He's not. I saw Him. I thought I died last night." Adventism is sure this was drug-indiuced confusion - doesn't fit the Adventist narrative. I'm still looking for understanding. Maybe no church dogma can give me that." Spectrum (name withheld)
For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing,... Ecclesiastes 9:5
