What has happened to God's people down through history?
I am the LORD thy God,
which brought thee out of the land of Egypt:
open thy mouth wide, and I will fill it.
But my people would not hearken to my voice;
and Israel would none of me.
So I gave them up unto their own hearts' lust:
and they walked in their own counsels.
Psalm 81:10-12
We see this today throughout Christendom, from those espousing theistic evolution, to those bringing militant feminism in as support for woman ordination, to those supportive of gay marriage, to CHEAP GRACE, to the prosperity gospel, to the false latter rain of the charismatic movement, to Sunday sacredness in place of Sabbath, to the paganistic lie of the immortality of the soul, to rejection of parts of Scripture (such as those who dismiss the Old Testament or reject the book of James for being too "Jewish", etc.), to rejection of the virgin birth, to the false forms of salvation ("once-saved-always-saved", predestination, "preservation of the saints", pluralism, by the sacraments of the church, by "spirit baptism", universalism, etc.), Mormonism, false doctrine of the "secret rapture", to the use of alcoholic beverages, to lowering the standards of marriage & re-marriage, etc.....
