3 Phases of the Judgment:
...........for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.
Romans 14:10
And he answered and spake unto those that stood before him,
saying, Take away the filthy garments from him.
And unto him he said,
Behold,
I have caused thine iniquity to pass from thee,
and I will clothe thee with change of raiment.
Zechariah 3:4
1) Investigative Judgment: This phase (begun at the end of the 2300 days/(years) of Daniel 8:14) is to see who is saved & who is lost. Your record is investigated before the throngs of angels as witnesses. This is Christ in the role of High Priest.
The hosts of heaven judge that God made the right decisions.
A fiery stream issued and came forth from before him:
thousand thousands ministered unto him,
and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him:
the judgment was set, and the books were opened.
Daniel 7:10
....and at that time thy people shall be delivered,
every one that shall be found written in the book.
And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake,
some to everlasting life,
and some to shame and everlasting contempt.
Daniel 12:1,2
2) Saints Judgment: This phase the redeemed get to judge the lost for themselves during the millennium. Their questions are answered as to why certain people are not there.The saints judge that God made the right/fair decisions.
And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them,
and judgment was given unto them:
and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus,
and for the word of God,
and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image,
neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands;
and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.
But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished.
This is the first resurrection.
Revelation 20:4,5
Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world?
Know ye not that we shall judge angels?
1 Corinthians 6:2,3
3) Wicked Judgment: This last phase, the wicked are raised at the end of the millennium and shown why they are lost.The wicked judge that God made the right/fair decisions.
And when the thousand years are expired,
And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God;
and the books were opened:
and another book was opened,
which is the book of life:
and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books,
according to their works.
The sea gave up its dead,
and death and the grave gave up their dead.
And all were judged according to their deeds.
Revelation 20:7,12,13
For it is written,
As I live, saith the Lord,
every knee shall bow to me,
and every tongue shall confess to God.
Romans 14:11
So WHO really is on trial? think about it.....
