There was War in Heaven

Will be bound during the Millenium

What will Spiritual Israel (God's People) learn that day?

What what will God do for His people?

Raelism is the religion founded by Claude Vorilhon (calls himself Rael) in 1974. They believe that the life on earth wa put here by aliens and they sent prophets we call Jesus and Buddha,etc. In 2002, these people claimed they had a cloning procedure that led to the birth of a daughter they named "Eve", although most observers obviously didn't believe them.

They also advocate setting up an embassy (in Jerusalem built like a crop circle) for the aliens to return to for talks with humans. They are also known for their sensual meditation rituals as well as for setting up UFO & crop circle exhibits.

They have had coversions from Christianity including ministers & priests, mostly Catholics in Quebec and Mormons elsewhere. One Mormon minister converted in order to express his homosexuality.

In politics, they advocate a global government with a global currency and although the use of democracy, they want an intelligence level to be met-50% above average for political candidates and 10% above average intelligence to be able to vote. They are big in the global environmental movement.

Vorilhon claims he was met by a visitor from outer space in 1973 named Yahweh.

     Garden of Eden was a place to "experiment"
     The ark of Noah was a "spaceship"
     The Tower of Babel was a rocket to attempt to reach the creator aliens

His "priests" on earth & Baptism

Before the priests could enter the Holy Place (inner court of the Sanctuary ) they had to wash at the brazen altar.

The inner court is where Sanctification takes place. (The articles of furniture in there involve that). So as we to are cleansed with water (BAPTISM), we enter into His work as His "priests" on earth, His representatives. He is the High Priest in Heaven.

SDA Issues - Purpose of E.G.W. in the SDA Church

One of the main messages for the SDA church that comes through from the 9 volume set of Testimonies for the Church, by E.G.W., is that you may know the truth, you may believe the truth, you may even love the truth. But the truth hasn't changed you-let the truth cahnge you.

This is clearly a message for Laodicea. If the last of the 7 churches is the SDA Church for the final home stretch-to hold up the truth to the world in the final showdown of the great controversy between God & Lucifer-then this message is for us.

For Christians, we know how Christ responded to the grief of death, the same way humans do today, for when His friend Lazarus died- Jesus wept. John 11:35

Atheist Chaplains? What? What does an atheist chaplain do or say to a dying soldier, sailor, airman or marine?

ATHEIST CHAPLAINS? What do they REALLY do? Do they show up at the side of a GI about to die and tell them they are just an offshoot of a monkey, a common beast no different than a dog getting hit in the street? That there is NO future hope, but nice meeting you your last couple of minutes of life. Maybe if we had met under other circumstances we could have become "friends"? Or is there anything you want me tell anyone for you? Sorry, but you are just a meaningless speck of nothing on this space fabric of time, here today, gone tommorrow forever with no possible chance of a resurrection. Do they quote from Dawkins books or something?

I think the concept of Military Atheistic Chaplains is absurd and a waste of money. If someone doesn't want to talk to a chaplain while about to die-that is their RIGHT not to. But if someone is in their death throws, and calls for a chaplain-imagine the look on their face as they hear the words from an atheist chaplain. Not quite what they were expecting to hear when they called for a "chaplain".

@ A "Bottleneck" in Genetics is when one traces back and can tell when a population thinned out and re-expanded. The whole human race junder went what evolutionists call the "Great Bottleneck". Some kind of major catastrophe nearly wiped out the human race.

To the Jews he will appear as their long awaited messiah, to the Christians as Christ, to the Muslims as the long awaited 12th Imam, To those of the Hindu faith as Kalki and to the buddhists as Maitreya. The New Agers will see him as all of these.

Two things all these religions have in common for their messiahs:
1) He will appear as a divine person to bring about an era of peace and
2) The religions differ among themselves about the details. (Much easier to decieve that way).
But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ....For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. 2 Corinthians 11:3,4,13,14

Jews: They are still waiting for their promised Messiah to come. Maimonides said "I believe with perfect faith in the coming of the mashiach, and though he may tarry, still I await him every day." It is part of Rambam's 13 Principles of faith. Mashiach means "annointed one". He will usher in the Olam Ha-Ba, an age of peace. Within modern Judaism Conservative Jews are not sure if he will literally or symbolicly appear. Reform Judaism does not believe in a messiah. They believe rather in a messianic age or utopia that will take place. Orthodox Judaism follows the 13 Principles of Faith set forth by Maimonides.

Islam: The Mahdi will be the 12th Imam who will appear just before the end during a time of world chaos. He will lead the belivers for 7 years and pray at Mecca with Jesus beside him. Shiite Muslims believe he was born around the 13th century and has been hiding in caves waiting for his time to appear. Only Allah can appoint and annoint the Imam who is thought to be descended from Mohamad through his daughter Fatima. Sunni Muslims believe the Imam will be born among them at the right time and reveal himself from among them.

Christians: Some believe in the unBiblical so-called "Secret Rapture" followed by a 7 year tribulation. Some, Postmillenialists, believe in the 1,000 year millenium before His return. Others, who are "amillenial", believe He will come whenever and however.

Hindus: Kalki is the 10th and last Avatar of Vishnu. He will return to end the current age of destruction and corruption. He returns on a white horse with a sword in his left hand. The god Vishnu is the sustainer of life and balance between creation and destruction. He will restore moral law and the people will return to a path of righteousness. The Kalki is to return when the sun, moon, Jupiter and Venus enter a new sign--which ironically will be around 2012.

Buddhist: The Maitreya ("Son-of-Love") will appear on earth to teach dharma which leads to total enlightment. He is to be the World Teacher. Before he returns the oceans are supposed to shrink in size so he can walk on them. In an attempt to tie these religions together, some already claim he is a descendent of King David and Mohamed. Some new agers and people into the lost city of Atlantis believe in the Maitreya.

New Age: They are all over the map ranging from belief in Hindu and Buddhist teachings about Karma and reincarnation all the way over to UFO's and E.T.'s. Some believe in different "ages" of historical time and believe we are in the Age of Aquarius. Some believe in angels, others in ghosts. They are pantheistic rather than theistic and are into touch with nature and hence enviromental activism. Many also rely heavily on horoscopes and astrology.

Maya 2012: The Maya 2012 dooms day hysteria has built up a following. This "ending" includes everything from pole shifts to asteroids. The date for the end is 12/21/12.

UFO's: Many are looking to the skies for signs. China recently closed airports several times in 2010 because of supposed UFO's overhead.

Wang Mingdao--Chinese Christian Hero

Wang mingdao was born in China in 1900 and died in 1991. He became a Christian at age 14. His moment that led to his calling is when he went out to the countryside and read the Bible through 6 times!!!
He founded a church and his focus was on living a pure life. He opposed the church being active in politics (amen). He didn't like very much the missionaries who were bringing a form of "liberal" Christianity which questioned some of the Bible (amen Wang). He also opposed the Pentecostals and their dancing, clapping and supposed speaking in tongues which Wang called "repetitive nonsense sounds" (amen Wang).
He refused to join the Japanese during their occupation of China. Later he refused to join the state church of communist China and was imprisoned and tortued. He signed a statement-but then recanted. He remained in prison until 1979.
He was married to Liu Jingwen.

Chalk Mine

Chalk beds are all over the world. Chalk is formed by skeletons of marine unicellular protozoans and algae. They can only disolve in shallow water. In oceans the shells disolve on the way to the ocean floor. Chalk beds therefore would be an indication of a global, shallow sea coverage. On various continents they rest on the same type of glauconitic sandstone. So the conditions must have existed universally at the same time.

"Teeth and fossil bone fragments from a meat-eating T. rex-like dinosaur were discovered in a Chinese dinosaur bone bed. The remains indicate that the creature measured over 30 feet from nose to tail.¹ How did such a large creature come to be fossilized alongside so many other dinosaurs? How did this enormous creature—dubbed Zhuchengtyrannus magnus in honor of the city in which it was found—wind up in the Shandong quarry, "one of the largest concentrations of dinosaur bones in the world"? This dinosaur bone bed in China appears to be an instance of what Henry Morris termed a "fossil graveyard." He wrote "Similar dinosaur graveyards are found on every continent, all over the world. Again the uniformitarian is challenged to point to any such phenomena occurring anywhere in the world today." Uniformitarian thinking insists that present slow processes explain all past phenomena. However, since present slow processes do not transport giant creatures in this manner or preserve them as fossils, then certainly catastrophic processes—not gradual ones—are the best explanation for the origin of many earth features. And the Bible records a flood that had enough power to do the kind of work required to totally overpower even the largest land creatures and bury them in fossil graveyards."

Quartodeciman Dispute (Easter Controversy)

Controvery in the 1st & 2nd century of the Christian Church over what day Passover-hence "Easter" (called Pascha) should fall on. In the east it was held for many years longer than in the west on 14 Nissan. Which means it could fall on any day of the week each year. But in the west, under the influence of the Bishop of Rome (Pope), it gradually became associated with the 1st day of the week, Sunday.

Bisshop Sixtus I of Rome began to keep it on Sunday (Pope from 115 AD-125AD). "Quartodectimanism, prevalent in Asia Minor and Syria in
the second century, emphasized the death of Christ, the true
Paschal victim (JN 18:28; 19:42), while Roman practice emphasized
the observance of Sunday as the day of the Resurrection ..."Catholic Encyclopedia

Irenaeus tells us that Polycarp, a disciple of John, was a quartodeciman. (Prefered 14 Nisan). Anicetus replaced Sixtus on the Papal throne in 155AD. Here is what Irenaeus says happened when the two met to discuss the situation:

"Anicetus could not persuade Polycarp to forgo the [Quartodeciman] observance inasmuch as these things had been always observed by John the disciple of the Lord, and by other apostles with whom he had been conversant; nor did Polycarp persuade Anicetus to keep it: Anicetus said that he must hold to the way of the elders before him."

In the 190's AD, Pope Victor I was on the Papal throne in Rome. He tried to enforce Sunday as "Easter" instead of 14 Nisan and went as far as to try to excommunicate those bishops who resisted. But he was strongly rebuked by some of the other bishops and the policy was reversed. (Note-the Bishop of Rome, at an early date, trying to enforce "Sunday" as a special day on others-but his time was not yet). Years later in the east, John Chrysostom harassed those who kept 14 Nisan. Also, the Celtic Church, which resisted becoming part of the Catholic Church well into the early Middle Ages, were said to be quartodecimans by Wilfrid, bishop of York in England.
“For I received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, that the Lord Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed [not Easter Sunday] took bread” (1 Corinthians 11:23). Keep in mind Jesus Christ was betrayed during the night of Nisan 14 (Luke 22:15-22), which was the day of Passover (Exodus 12:6-13)." From Passover to Easter

“Easter” actually originates with the pagan worship of Ishtar (or Astarte) that was traditionally observed at the time of the vernal equinox, nominally about March 21 or 22. Traditional pagan fertility symbols of both rabbits and eggs continue to be associated with this holiday. The practice of those Christians insisting on celebrating Passover on the fourteenth day of Nisan from the Old Testament calendar¹ was known as Quartodecimanism (“fourteenism,” as derived from Latin). The council unanimously ruled that the Easter festival should be celebrated throughout the Christian world on the first Sunday after the full moon following the vernal equinox; and that if the full moon should occur on a Sunday, and thereby coincide with the Passover festival, Easter should be commemorated on the following Sunday. As a result of the Council of Nicea, and amended by numerous subsequent meetings, the formal church deliberately attempted to design a formula for “Easter” which would avoid any possibility of it falling on the Jewish Passover, even accidentally! In 387, for example, the dates of Easter in France and Egypt were 35 days apart. About 465, the church adopted a system of calculation proposed by the astronomer Victorinus, who had been commissioned by Pope Hilarius to reform the calendar and fix the date of Easter.
