IN the NEWS - Full-Metal Woke [Gen. 6:5 Redux]

And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
Genesis 6:5

"The U.S. Marine Corps went full-metal woke on Wednesday, the first day of June, acknowledging “Pride Month” with an image of a combat helmet decorated with bullets painted in rainbow colors placed on a strap, on which the words “PROUD TO SERVE” were emblazoned." RedState

Creation Moment 6/4/2022 - Planetary Uniquenss: Not All Were Made To Be Inhabited

Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God...
Hebrews 11:3

"NASA is looking to study a unique exoplanet in the Universe. What is special about this planet appears to be a red-hot ball of lava and fire. This planet is called '55 Cancri e'. It is also considered a 'super-Earth'. The other planet is known as 'LHS 3844 b'. It is cooler than '55 Cancri e'.
NASA said, "Imagine if Earth were much, much closer to the Sun.
--So close that an entire year lasts only a few hours.
--So close that gravity has locked one hemisphere in permanent searing daylight and the other in endless darkness.
--So close that the oceans boil away, rocks begin to melt, and the clouds rain lava."  WION

Haw-wah

"Outlined below are five things about Eve which you may not have known before:
 1. Eve is not her real name:
Adam is called Adam in Hebrew,
but Eve is not actually called Eve.
In the Garden of Eden, when addressing her husband by name, she would have used ‘Adam’. Whereas Adam would not have referred to her as ‘Eve’, but as ‘Haw-wah’, her name as transliterated from Biblical Hebrew. (The opening ‘h’ is a
guttural sound, sometimes written as ‘ch’ or ‘kh’.). ‘Eve’, the Hebrew word is חַוָּ֑ה. When transliterated today based on the way it is pronounced by modern Hebrew speakers, this is written as Havah or Chavah. (The sound shift of ‘w’ to ‘v’ has occurred in many languages over time.) Havah is linked to the Hebrew word for life.
Jerome translated this from Hebrew and Greek in the 4th century AD. It became the most widely used Bible translation in western Christianity for over a thousand years. In the Latin Vulgate, Havah was transliterated quite closely as Hava or Heva in the Old Testament. The opening ‘h’ later became essentially silent in Ecclesiastical Latin. In the New Testament, it was translated from the Greek as Eva. From Eva came the later anglicized version Eve. The name Eve as we pronounce it today would have been unknown to Adam.

2. Eve was not just the mother of boys:
Not only was Eve the first woman and wife, but also the first mother. The Bible tells us that Eve had three boys: Cain, Abel,
and Seth. It also states that Adam fathered other sons, and daughters. Adam named his wife Havah (see point 1) as she would be the mother of all living and so her daughters became the first naturally born women.
Mitochondrial DNA is passed on through the female line. Studies of mitochondrial DNA from people groups around the world have shown that all women alive today can trace their ancestry back to one woman (called mitochondrial Eve).

3. Eve looked different from historical depictions:
Eve has historically been depicted as a Caucasian (‘white’ skin
tone) in Western art. Skin tone depends on a coloring pigment called melanin. How much or how little someone can produce will dictate how dark or light their skin is. Humanity is one race, all members of which descend from Adam and Eve. They were created with the full range of skin tone available from a combination of their genes, which was most likely expressed as mid-brown in themselves.

4. Eve thought she gave birth to the Messiah:
Eve mistakenly applies God’s promise to Cain. Genesis 4:1
reads, “Now Adam knew Eve his wife, and she conceived and bore Cain, saying, ‘I have produced a man with the help of the Lord’”. In Hebrew, Eve literally says, “I have the Man, the Lord”. Looking expectantly forward to God’s promise, her words show that she thinks “the Man” she has just given birth to is the promised redeemer."

Creation Moment 6/3/2022 - DESIGN of Smell

See, the smell of my son is as the smell of a field which the LORD hath blessed... Genesis 27:27

"The human nose is designed to detect a trillion smells......Sensory neurons in the nose
--detect odor molecules
--and relay signals to the olfactory bulb, a structure in the forebrain where initial odor processing occurs.
--The olfactory bulb primarily transmits information to the piriform cortex, the main structure of the olfactory cortex, for more comprehensive processing.
As a person inhales through the nose, the air with the ordorant molecules goes across millions of olfactory neurons in the nasal cavity. These specially-designed neurons have surface receptors called GPCRs (G-Protein Coupled Receptors).
The odorant molecule—called a ligand—specifically binds with a G-protein receptor and immediately causes a biochemical cascade of reactions (intracellular adenyl cyclase components) within the neuron.
When a volatile molecule [ligand] is recognized by a [G-protein] receptor, it is activated and generates a signal that is transmitted to the olfactory bulb in the brain, a signal that is then translated into an odor.....olfactory neurons are not to be considered as sensors simply passing from a resting state to a stimulated state, but that their identity is in permanent [change], not only according to the expressed receptor but also according to past experiences. This discovery adds another level to the complexity and flexibility of the olfactory system...."

"The time is fulfilled"

"When Christ entered upon his mission, immediately after His
baptism, He
came into Galilee preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, and saying, "The time is fulfilled." Mark1:14,15. This must mark the fulfillment of some definite period, or it would not be asserted that "the time is fulfilled." The time here fulfilled can be none other than that given in Dan.9:25: "Unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks," 483 years.
We are therefore correct in saying that this is the period
that reaches to his baptism.

Christ was six months younger than John the Baptist, and is generally considered to have entered upon his ministry six months later; both of them commencing their work, according to the law of the priesthood, when they were thirty years of age.
Of Christ, Luke says expressly that at the time of his baptism He began to be about thirty years of age. Luke3:23. Now John entered upon His ministry, as Luke informs us (3:1), in the fifteenth year of
Tiberius
Caesar.
Tiberius was the successor of Augustus, who reigned to A.D. 14. The date of Augustus' death is indisputably fixed by means of the great lunar eclipse soon after, Sept.27, which served to quell the mutiny of the Pannonian legions, and to induce them to swear fidelity to Tiberius, as recorded by Tacitus, Anal.1:28, and Dio.lib.57, p.604. But the reign of Tiberius is to be reckoned, according to Prideaux, Dr. Hales, Lardner, and others, from his elevation to the throne to reign jointly with Augustus his step-father, in August, A.D. 12, two years before the death of the latter. The fifteenth
year of Tiberius would therefore be from August, A.D. 26, to August, A.D. 27.

If John commenced in the spring in the latter portion of the fifteenth
year of
Tiberius, it would bring the commencement of Christ's ministry in the autumn of A.D. 27, the very point where the 483 years of Dan.9 expire.
The length of Christ's ministry. This may be quite accurately determined by enumerating the passovers which he attended. There were but four of these as recorded in John2:13; 5:1; 6:4; and 13:1. At the last of these he was crucified.. This would make the duration of his ministry three years and a half. Thus, if he commenced in the autumn of A.D. 27, he would preach six months before his first passover in the spring of 28. His second passover would be in the spring of 29, His third in the spring of 30, and His fourth in the spring of 31, when He was crucified.

This would correspond exactly to the prophecy;
for He was to confirm the
covenant with many for one week, seven years, and in the midst,
or middle, of the week, he was to be cut off, and cause the sacrifice and oblation to cease.

This he did when he expired upon the cross, three and one-half years from the commencement of his ministry; and during the remainder of the week He confirmed the covenant through his apostles. Heb.2:3. Dr. Hales, vol. i. p. 94, quotes Eusebius, A.D. 300, as saying: "It is recorded in history, that the whole time of our Savior's teaching and working miracles was three years and a half, which is the half of a week [of years]. This John the evangelist will represent to those who critically attend to his gospel."

Creation Moment 6/2/2022 - Made Male & Female

But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female.
Mark 10:6

"All of the normal cells in a male have XY chromosomes; in a
normal female, XX chromosomes. The main exceptions involve enucleated cells, such as in the eye lens, and the blood cells. Two active X chromosomes results in an overdose of gene products, which is fatal for developing embryos and can lead to cancer in adult life.

Because two X chromosomes in one cell overproduce proteins, one X chromosome has to be turned off. This process, called X-inactivation, deals with the problem of dosage compensation. Consequently, early in embryonic development in females, one of the two X chromosomes is randomly and permanently inactivated.
This X-inactivation phenomenon is called lyonization after Mary Lyon who discovered the process. Lyonization in females will result in one X chromosome in each cell like is true in males.

A difference is, males have only one type of X chromosome, whereas females have two different X types, one type from the father and another type from the mother, but both will not be in the same cell. Because X-inactivation is random, in normal females the X chromosome inherited from the mother is active in some cells, and the X chromosome inherited from the father is active in other cells. For males, X-inactivation does not occur. Consequently, in males every cell that retains its chromosomes will have an X from the mother and a Y from the father.he cells that retain a nucleus other than egg cells.

Not all the chromosome genes are X-inactivated. Those located at the ends of each arm of the X and Y chromosome in areas called the pseudoautosomal regions are not inactivated. Furthermore, the same genes in the pseudoautosomal regions are present on both the X and Y sex chromosomes. As a result, men and women each have two functional copies of these genes which are essential for normal development.
One, called imprinting, is where certain genes are turned off in males and other genes are switched off in females. As a result, we have paternally imprinted genes and maternally imprinted genes.

Adding to this, a new control system has also been discovered.
Little is known about how X-chromosome inactivation affects the development of reproductive cells. In mammals, oocytes develop from germ cells, precursor cells that migrate from early embryonic tissue to the developing gonads. Germ cells then undergo meiosis, an important chromosomal rearrangement process, which is responsible for the genetic uniqueness of each individual germ cell. Germ cells mature and eventually turn into functional sperm or oocytes.
The new research found certain genes are turned both on and off at the proper time, and a correct X-chromosome inactivation and reactivation sequence indicates normal germ cell differentiation. Thus, depending on many factors, the research
revealed a carefully orchestrated act of X-chromosome ‘yoyo’. If one X chromosome [is] briefly inactivated and
then reactivated, it resulted in germ cells being four times more efficient for entering meiosis and transforming into egg cells compared to germ cells that have never turned their X chromosome ‘off and on’ again. In comparison, germ cells that failed to inactivate the X chromosome in the first place or reactivated it too rapidly showed abnormal gene expression and cell differentiation patterns.
Dr. Moritz Bauer, the co-first author of the study, explains one finding.
Our results also highlight how we need specific tools to study female cells. The vast majority of studies are performed using male cells, leading to a gender-gap in scientific knowledge. We therefore need to stop looking at female development through the lens of male cells, which will contribute to our understanding of sex-specific disease progressions.
What this means is that male cells and female cells are different even at the germ cell stage.
These differences are now just being explored. This is one more observation which supports the fact that hormones and surgery cannot convert a male to a female, nor a female to a male. Sex operations and hormone therapy used in the so-called ‘transitioning’ from one sex to the other sex process is nothing more than cosmetic surgery. It is an attempt to change the appearance and does not make a male from a female, nor a female from a male. This corroborates the standard historical medical conclusion that gender dysphoria meant the need for a psychologist and not a surgeon."

When Christ Died

"When Christ "died for all," He tasted "death for every one" (2 Corinthians 5:14 Hebrews 2:9).
*
It had to be the second death that He "tasted" because what we call death the Bible calls "sleep," which everyone experiences except those who will be translated (John 11:11-13; 1 Thessalonians 4:16,17).
*Therefore there is no reason why anyone should at last have to die the second death except that he has resisted or rejected the salvation already given him "in Christ" (cf. Hebrews 2:3; the Greek word "neglect" in the King James Version means "despise," see Matthew 22:5)."

One Footing

"The whole human race is placed on the one footing, and, to
all practical purposes as regards salvation, there is no difference between the vilest sinner and the greatest professor.
We are all
Ephesians 2
3...by nature the children of wrath, even as others.

When Jesus said to Nicodemus,
“That which is born of flesh is flesh,”

...He was expressing in another way that truth of His parable that a “corrupt tree brings forth evil fruit” and cannot “bring forth good fruit.”

Creation Moment 6/1/2022 - Purpose of the Sabbath

"The Sabbath is for the purpose of
--keeping in mind the creative power of God,
--which is His distinguishing characteristic.

But creative power is the power of the gospel, so that that which celebrates creation also celebrates redemption."
