ARCHAEOLOGY: Mesha Stone of Moab

And Mesha king of Moab was a sheepmaster,

and rendered unto the king of Israel an hundred thousand lambs,

and an hundred thousand rams,

with the wool.

But it came to pass, when Ahab was dead,

that the king of Moab rebelled against the king of Israel.

"In the Bible it says that Mesha the king of Moab was paying tribute to Israel and that they suddenly stopped: "Mesha, king of Moab rebelled against the king of Israel..." (2 Kings 3:5). Well, Mesha made his own record of this rebellion, and the record has been found. It is known today as "The Mesha Stele" or the more popular designation "The Moabite Stone." It was found in 1868 at Dibon, in Moab. Dibon is located 20 miles east of the Dead Sea. Amazingly enough it was discovered by chance by F.A. Klein, a German missionary who had heard rumors of this stone while visiting the area. It was a bluish basalt stone, about 4 feet high and 2 feet wide, and 14 inches thick, with an inscription from king Mesha.






What is Written on the Stone?

1. "I am Mesha, son of Chemosh[-yatti], the king of Moab, the Dibonite.
2. My father (had) reigned over Moab for thirty years, and I reigned
3. after my father. And I made this high-place for Chemosh in Qarcho . . .
4. because he has delivered me from all kings, and because he has made me triumph over all my enemies. As for Omri
5. the king of Israel, and he humbled Moab for many years (days), for Chemosh was angry with his land.
6. And his son reigned in his place; and he also said, "I will oppress Moab!" In my days he said so.
7. But I ltriumphed over him and over his house, and Israel has perished; it has  perished forever! And Omri took possession of the whole land of Medeba,

10. Qiryaten. And the men of Gad lived in the land of Atarot from ancient times; and the king of Israel
11. built Atarot for himself, and I fought against the city and captured it. And I killed all the people of
12. the city as a sacrifice for Chemosh and for Moab. And I brought back the fire-hearth of his uncle from there; and I brought it
13. before the face of Chemosh in Qerioit, and I made the men of Sharon live there, as well as the men of Maharit.
14. And Chemosh said to me, "Go, take Nebo from Israel."
15. And I went in the night and fought against it from the daybreak until midday, and I took it
16. and I killed the whole population: seven thousand male subjects and aliens, and female subjects, aliens, and servant girls.
17. For I had devoted them to destruction for (the god) Ashtar Chemosh. And from there I took the
18. vessels of Yahweh, and I presented them before the face of Chemosh. And the king of Israel had built
19. Yahaz, and he stayed there throughout his campaign against me; and Chemosh drove him away before my face. And
20. I took two hundred men of Moab, all first class (warriors), and I led it up to Yahaz. And I have taken it
21. in order to add it to Dibon. I have built Qarcho, the wall of the woods and the wall of
22. the citadel; and I have built its gates; and I have built its towers; and
23. I have built the house of the king; and I have made the double reservoir for the spring in the innermost part of the city.
24. Now the innermost part of the city had no cistern, in Qarcho, and I said to all the people, "Each one of you shall make
25. a cistern in his house." And I cut the moat for Qarcho by using Israelite captives.
26. I have built Aroer, and I constructed the military road in Arnon (valley).
27. I have built Beth-Bamot, for it had been destroyed. I have built Bezer, for it lay
28. in ruins. And the men of Dibon stood in battle formation, for all Dibon were in subjection. And I am the king
29. over the hundreds in the towns which I have added to the land. And I have built
30. Beth-Medeba and Beth-Diblaten and Beth-Baal-Meon, and I brought there . . .

Creation Moment 4/5/2014 - The Asteroid Challenge for Evolutionists

"Data from recent spacecraft flybys challenge the prevailing naturalistic perspective on asteroid origins. Secular astronomers assume that natural processes, rather than miracles, created the sun, Earth, planets, and asteroids from ancient, swirling masses of gases, but this new evidence points to something different.
Writing in the British science journal Nature, Harvard's Francesca DeMeo and the Paris Observatory's Benoit Carry summarized the latest asteroid puzzles. For decades, secularists argued that asteroids somehow formed from merging dust particles in a hot nebula. Thus, where they orbit and what they're made of should reflect the material content and temperature of the nebula at the time of their formation.

However, secular astronomers have not yet explained how less common asteroids mixed so thoroughly with more common types. DeMeo and Carry wrote, "The rarer asteroid types, such as the crust and mantle remnants of fully heated and melted bodies, are seen in all regions of the main belt." Nor can they easily explain why "the smorgasbord of compositional types of small bodies throughout the main belt contrasts with the compositional groupings at large sizes."
To help solve the riddle of mixed asteroids, some entertain a notion called the "Grand Tack model." It posits that Jupiter migrated near to Mars' orbit and somehow cleared out and redistributed the main belt asteroids in its mighty wake. "Jupiter then reversed course and headed back towards the outer Solar System," eventually taking up its current residence, according to the Nature study authors.
Yet, like many grand astronomy concepts, the Grand Tack model seems to create more problems than it solves. What massive force could have moved giant Jupiter in toward the sun, and why didn't that force destroy Jupiter, other planets, or the asteroids themselves? And then what powerful agent slung Jupiter outward to its current, stable orbit? It's as though researchers need Jupiter's gravity to act as a magic hand that mixed and placed asteroids near to where we see them today—in the main belt between Mars and Jupiter.
A better way to explain the unique arrangement of rare and common, large and small asteroids is that God put them there in the beginning. If so, they have been around since creation took place only thousands of years ago. Do the asteroids look more like they are thousands of years young or billions of years old, cold, and dead?
The Nature study authors wrote, "Planetary migration ends well within the first billion years of our Solar System's [assumed] 4.5-billion-year history. The asteroid belt, however, is still dynamic today. Collisions between asteroids are continuously grinding the bodies down." Why do asteroids still exist after grinding each other down all this supposed time? If the main belt were that old, it would contain nothing more than dust remnants of the active bodies that once orbited there.
Thinking in terms of a recent creation solves these and other fascinating asteroid observations, answering the difficulties facing secular origins stories. God positioning these heavenly bodies personally and recently, in accordance with Genesis creation, explains their various compositions, orbits, and sizes, as well as their very existence." ICR

And just how could they be planning to get "reductions in emissions"? One possibility to reduce our so-called "carbon footprint", would be to set aside a day for the planet to "rest"---sort of a global Sabbath if you will.
We keep pointing out on this blog that this is one way spiritual "Egypt" is coaxed into co-operating with spiritual "Babylon" when the mark-of-the-beast is implemented.
Scripture tells us spiritual "Babylon" implements it In the U.S. & that America then gets the world to go along....but it doesn't tell us how. This would be just one of many possibilities. This also addresses those who claim the world is too secular, or too divided, to set up a holy (counterfeit) "Sabbath" day to honor God. "Babylon" implements it to appease an angry "FATHER GOD" & "Egypt" co-operates to appease an angry "MOTHER EARTH".---that could be one way they do it...

"(Loveland, CO)—In fulfillment of Jesus' prayer for unity among His followers, 13 pastors from diverse personal and church backgrounds rallied around two common denominators at a recent conference in the Rocky Mountain West: the finished work of the Cross and the Lordship of Jesus Christ.
In the lead-up to the themed "One Church" conference, held recently at Resurrection Fellowship in Loveland, Colorado, an annual event attended by multiple churches in northern Colorado, people experienced dreams and miracles they believe are answers to Jesus' recorded prayer in the 17th chapter of John's Gospel, where he expresses His desire that Believers be one like God the Father and the Son.
A practicing Buddhist woman who attended the church conference titled Convergence related dream-based intercession in which a "man" watched her turn side to side as she slept; with each turn she first said, "God, thank You for Jesus;"

Another speaker, Pastor George Morrison of Faith Bible Chapel in suburban Denver, agreed to bring members of his mega-church to next year's conference if it highlights Israel. Morrison, a regional director of Christians United For Israel (CUFI), was elated when Convergence host Pastor Jonathan Wiggins of Resurrection Fellowship told him the Holy Spirit revealed 2015's theme: Israel.
"I believe that we're about to step into a season of revival that comes not from one church doing something great but from a unified church on which Gods commands a blessing," says Wiggins, who's led worship in Baptist, Pentecostal, Independent and Charismatic congregations.
Speakers from different backgrounds and theological differences shared their diverse views openly at the conference, and not everybody agreed with everything they had to say, Wiggins points out. "So what?" he asks.
"What connects us is deeper than having total agreement on everything," Wiggins says. "If agreement is the criteria, then there's not a single person in the world who is truly united with anybody else."
Memories of another Bible teacher, the late Derek Prince, were invoked at the conference as well. Before he

died, Prince shared his vision of a duck pond that was separated by fences, each section enclosing a group of ducks. All the ducks became one group when the water level rose above the fences. The ducks didn't know any better than to swim together.

What is up with this theme of setting aside "doctrinal" differences? Didn't we just hear Tony Palmer make that case for the Pope to a bunch a "Protestants" recently? Looks like "Babylon" is brewing & found it's theme for "unity".....the setting aside of doctrines

"A senior military academic is warning Europe is staring down the barrel of its biggest war since 1945. And it could start in days, as Russian forces mass on the border with Ukraine — apparently poised to invade.
The commander of NATO forces in Europe visited the White House overnight to voice his alarm at Moscow’s massive military build-up facing eastern Ukraine — on the other side of the embattled country to the already-annexed Crimean peninsula.

Many other military and political voices are suddenly expressing the same fears.
“By the end of the weekend, Europe’s biggest war since 1945 will have begun or Putin will have started to send the troops on the border home,” declared Professor of the Naval War College at Boston University, John Schindler.
The troops are reportedly not average Russian conscripts. New intelligence reveals the mechanised infantry units and their tanks to be among the best and most highly trained the Russian Federation has — diverted from their Moscow barracks to their tents and revetments overlooking Ukraine.
There are even reports — unconfirmed at this stage — that Russia has in the past few hours erected a massive field hospital designed to treat wounded soldiers.
And Russian President Vladimir Putin’s rhetoric has also been heating up, with claims that Russian-speaking people in Ukraine are being treated “brutally”.
General Philip Breedlove, NATO’s supreme allied commander for Europe, gave a classified briefing last night to various US government committees.
“The thinking in the US government is that the likelihood of a major Russian incursion into Ukraine has increased,” a senior US official told Fox News.
