Tyndale, who brought the Reformation to England, wrote about the false doctrine of the immortality of the soul.....Tyndale said....
"And ye, in putting them [departed souls] in heaven, hell and purgatory, destroy wherewith
Christ and Paul prove the resurrection, which we be warned to look for....The heathen philosophers, denying that, did put that souls did live forever. And the pope joineth the spiritual doctrine of Christ and the fleshly doctrine of philosophers together...."
For the living know that they shall die:
but the dead know not any thing,
