Thus, a truly righteous Judge would not only have to consign Sodom to destructive “brimstone and fire from the LORD” (Genesis 19:24) but every one of us as well “into the lake of fire” (Revelation 20:15).

But God, being not only the righteous Judge but also “a faithful Creator” (1 Peter 4:19), had a plan whereby He could “declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past” and both “be just, and the justifier” of those who had been lost sinners (Romans 3:25-26). “God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh” (8:3).

So, Christ has been “made unto us...righteousness” (1 Corinthians 1:30). "

COVID-19.

A "mystery fever" that has killed nearly 70 people, including 40 children, in a week has terrified the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh.

Most of the deceased reported high fever, dehydration, and a sudden drop in platelet count, while others had dengue symptoms.

“The situation in the districts is alarming", Manish Asija, a member of the legislative assembly, said, adding that "waterlogging, lack of sanitation and hygiene are the reasons behind the disease spread".

The Times of India reported that 72 children out of 135 are fighting for their lives at the Firozabad Medical College, with over 50 percent of them displaying dengue symptoms.

According to health officials, 12 children have succumbed to the fever in the last 24 hours alone.

“The exact cause is being studied”, the chief medical officer Dr Neeta Kulshrestha, said.

Neeta Kulshrestha further added that all patients at government hospitals are being tested for COVID, but so far none of the viral infection cases can be linked.

“Viral fever patients are being admitted in COVID-19 wards. Doctors and paramedics are on alert. The intensity of the fever is worrying. Children are taking two weeks to recover”." Sputnik

"A Georgia man “randomly” shot and killed a tourist dining outside with his family in Miami Beach, then danced over the body, cops and a witness at the disturbing scene said.

Tamarius David, 22, of Norcross, Georgia, allegedly opened fire on Dustin Wakefield, 21, from close range as he was eating in the outdoor section of La Cerveceria de Barrio on Miami Beach’s famous Ocean Drive on Tuesday night, CBS Miami reported.

“After the shooting, he was dancing on top of the guy,” a witness, who didn’t want to be identified, told the news station.

Wakefield, who was on vacation from Castlerock, Colorado, attempted to protect his 1-year-old son before he was shot multiple times, his family told the Miami Herald.

“This guy came in with a gun waving it, saying ‘It’s time to die.’ He pointed the gun at his son and Dustin said, ‘He’s only a boy,’” his uncle, Mike Wakefield, told the newspaper.

Dustin stood up between the gunman and the baby and he shot him. He shot him multiple times on the ground.

The gunfire also struck another customer, who suffered non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

Authorities have not released the identity of the second victim.

Police responded to 911 calls about the shooter and found David trying to open a locked door while holding a firearm, CBS Miami reported.

Footage showed David in an alleyway next to the scene, yelling, “I did it. I did it,” the Miami Herald reported." NYP

Ben also said that the United States is moving towards an aggressive totalitarian government.

We know that the United States will demonstrate totalitarian leadership in the Time of the End. It has to happen. In a real sense, it is less about people than it is about principalities and powers seeking control over the earth. But people are the pawns in such totalitarian impulses, and all must choose which side they will honor, whether it be the divine liberty of God, or the compelling duress of the enemies of God. As it is written in Desire of Ages 321,

We must inevitably be under the control of the one or the other of the two great powers that are contending for the supremacy of the world. It is not necessary for us deliberately to choose the service of the kingdom of darkness in order to come under its dominion. We have only to neglect to ally ourselves with the kingdom of light.

"......the following statement was printed in the Lake Union Herald this past week, stating that it is “appropriate” for those conscientious individuals who remain unvaccinated to have their travel, employment, and participation in society restricted. (But that’s not a “mandate,” so it’s all good…). Nick Miller writes:

“I'm not arguing for mandatory vaccination. But I am saying that your choice not to be vaccinated will appropriately come with limitations on community participation, work and travel.”

I don’t take it personally that this brother in Christ advocated for my family to have their freedoms taken away.

The only possible justification to even begin a debate about whether we should publicly advocate restricting the freedoms of the unvaccinated is that the vaccine prevents you from transmitting the virus – if you don’t take the shot you might unknowingly put others in harm’s way; but the vaccine prevents transmission, so you must take it or be punished.  

So, the pivotal question (the only question, really) is, does the vaccine prevent the vaccinated from transmitting the virus? 

Here’s the latest from CDC Director, Rochelle Walenski:

"Our vaccines are working exceptionally well. They continue to work well with delta with regard to severe illness and death, but what they can't do anymore is prevent transmission."

Our vaccines can’t prevent transmission.

She explains that the vaccines can reduce symptoms and save lives. No mention of the risks of the vaccines, but for the sake of argument – awesome; praise God; saving lives. But that’s not enough to force them on people. As a personal choice, people weigh their risk factors and choose to vaccinate or not vaccinate. If they are persuaded that the vaccine has a better chance of saving their life than hurting them, they take it. 

But the discussion about mandates isn’t about the vaccine saving your life or not, which is merely a personal decision. The argument for mandates rests upon an entirely different premise, a totally different discussion – that the vaccine protects others from you. You must take the vaccine so you don’t spread the virus. 

But we’ve learned that the vaccines cannot prevent transmission. “Our vaccines… can’t… prevent transmission.”  So that ends the mandate discussion before it begins." Fulcrum7

Papal Notes - Step Aside COVID "Mandates"....there are new mandates in town

"On August 18, 2021, the St. Francis Day Foundation announced the creation of a new organization in Rome led by Pope Francis and American philanthropist and businessman Steve Menzies. More than $50 million has been pledged and more is expected to be raised to support the implementation of Laudato Si’ “mandates” to solve the world’s “most pressing problems.” 

The new St. Francis Day Foundation will establish its operational headquarters in New York with chapters to be added in countries on every continent. Then on October 4, 2021, the St. Francis Day Foundation “will launch important, ground-breaking, worldwide initiatives to address the first of many advances in its service of human ecology.” The ground-breaking initiatives will be based on “three mandates,” each one reflecting the “wishes of Pope Francis. 

The Laudato Si’ mandates are as follows:

“The First Mandate refers to the Encyclical’s advocacy of respect and care for the natural world, consonant with the words and deeds of St. Francis of Assisi. Through its programs, the Foundation will urge attention to the proper custodianship of our world through responsible commerce and through the weighing of organizations’ activities and their implications on the environment.”

“The Second Mandate refers to the urgent need to address human ecology, as outlined in the Encyclical, aligning technology with the most important of spiritual and ethical values and placing technology’s dynamic instruments in their proper human perspective, for optimal use.” 

“The Third Mandate refers to the elements first introduced in Laudato Si’ and expanded upon in the Pope’s latest Encyclical Fratelli Tutti; that is, that we must cultivate sensibilities and passions among men and women so that we find true brotherhood and longed for peace in the world, regardless of a particular faith or political formulae. The encyclical calls for a better kind of politics based upon refreshed principles of brotherhood and respect.”

The Vatican won’t stop until Sunday becomes the universal day of rest for the environment.  

The churches support this. The scientific community is on board. Politicians, bankers and business leaders are on board the climate movement. They’re all in agreement. And the Vatican is orchestrating plans and solutions to deal with the “climate change crisis” with the support of the entire international community.

Some will remain true to the truth of God and to His work; while others will abandon the faith and yield to the powers that be by submitting to government mandates, whether Covid-19 mandates or the green Sunday law mandates during the crisis leading to the mark of the beast:

There are a faithful few who are true to God; for John writes: ‘Here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.’ Revelation 14:12. "Proteins can communicate through DNA, conducting a long-

distance dialogue that serves as a kind of genetic “switch,” according to Weizmann Institute of Science researchers. They found that the binding of proteins to one site of a DNA molecule can physically affect another binding site at a distant location, and that this “peer effect” activates certain genes.

They found that when two ComK molecules bind to one of the sites, it sets off a signal that facilitates the binding of two additional ComK molecules at the second site. The signal can travel between the sites because physical changes triggered by the original proteins’ binding create tension that is transmitted along the DNA, something like twisting a rope from one end. Once all four molecules are bound to the DNA, a threshold is passed, switching on the bacterium’s gene scavenging ability.

“We were surprised to discover that DNA, in addition to containing the genetic code, acts like a communication cable, transmitting information over a relatively long distance from one protein binding site to another,” Rosenblum says.

They found that for communication – or cooperation – between two sites to occur, these sites must be located at a particular distance from one another, and they must face the same direction on the DNA helix. Any deviation from these two conditions – for example, increasing the distance – weakened the communication.

Secondly, Though God is high, and dwells on high, yet He is near to those who, being of a contrite spirit, know how to value His favor, and will save them from sinking under their burdens; He is near them to good purpose.

 A broken heart — נשברי לב nishberey leb, the heart broken to shivers. 

A contrite spirit. — דכאי רוח dakkeey ruach, "the beaten-out spirit." In both words the hammer is necessarily implied; in breaking to pieces the ore first, and then plating out the metal when it has been separated from the ore. This will call to the reader's remembrance Jeremiah 23:29: "Is not my word like as a fire, saith the Lord? And like a hammer that breaketh the rock in pieces?" 

The breaking to shivers, and beating out, are metaphorical expressions: so are the hammer and the rock. 

What the large hammer struck on a rock by a powerful hand would do, so does the word of the Lord when struck on the sinner's heart by the power of the Holy Spirit. 

The broken heart, and the contrite spirit, are two essential characteristics of true repentance."

Mother Finds Him Dead as She Calls Him to Breakfast
     The death messenger came unannounced to Kelley W. Quinn, better known in this community as Cal Quinn, Friday morning.  He died unattended in his bed between five and six o'clock in the morning.  His death was undoubtedly due to heart

failure and to all appearances was without struggle or pain.  He had been in poor health for years, having been a physical wreck and with very little vitality left to withstand any sudden attack of the disease.  

Friday evening he had gone to bed at the home of his father, Mart Quinn, where he has lived for some time, in about his usual state of health and before he retired he said he felt somewhat stronger than usual.

His mother got up about five o'clock Friday morning and going to his room asked if he was all right.  He responded by nodding his head but did not speak.  

Mrs. Quinn set about getting breakfast and when that task was completed a half an hour or so later she called him to get up but got no response.  

Going to his bed she tried to arouse him but found that he was dead.  To all appearances he has passed away in his sleep and death was without a struggle.  Unexpected as it was his demise was not a great surprise to many of his acquaintances who had noted his failing health in the last year.

The funeral service was conducted at the Lutheran church Sunday afternoon, the sermon being preached by the pastor, Rev. C.R. Bowers in the presence of a congregation that filled the church.  Interment was made in Oak Lawn cemetery.

Kelley W. Quinn was known to all the people of this community for thirty years past.  He was born near Mexico, Miami county, August 31, 1856, and at death was  a little over fifity-four years of age.  When he was a young man his parents came to this city and his home has been here ever since.  

About twenty-one years ago he marreid Anna Galbreath, of Pierceton, and three children were born to them, one dying in infancy.  He is survived by his father and mother, his wife, one brother, two sons, Robert and Thomas Quinn, and other relatives."

"According to an article published Wednesday in the Jesuit-run America Magazine, those who discern against taking an abortion-tainted COVID-19 vaccine are committing “the ultimate sin of omission” by their refusal.

 

Entitled “Refusing the Covid vaccine is the ultimate sin of omission for Catholics today” and authored by Father Terrence Klein, the article takes aim at Catholics who allegedly “put their focus on protecting liberty rather than life” in their decision to forego vaccines developed, derived, or tested using aborted fetal cell lines.

Klein posited that the currently available shots against the novel coronavirus not only “pose no greater threat to health than other medical prescriptions or procedures,” but that also “they clearly save lives.” Both assertions have been the subject of much scrutiny, however, and mounting evidence has come to light which undermines Klein’s conclusions.

For instance, the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS) in the United States continues to rack up injury reports in the days and weeks following injection with COVID jabs. The total number of adverse events recorded on the system now stands at 623,343 as of August 20. Over 55,000 of those led to hospitalization and 13,627 injuries resulted in death.

In fact, despite Klein’s assertion of lives being saved by vaccinating, Dr. Peter McCullough, M.D., a renowned medical expert and member of the Truth for Health Foundation, said that “there is no product in human history that has ever created such a swathe of injuries to the public” as the COVID shots.

Of the numerous injuries reported following injection with the shots, McCullough noted that many of them “fall into very serious categories …. Over 12,000 certified deaths by the CDC, over 200,000 composite deaths, hospitalizations, urgent care visits, and office visits. A staggering number of myocardial infarctions, strokes, and over 4,000 cases of myocarditis, a heart inflammation in young individuals.
