GENESIS ROOTS: Restored to One Language

Biblical key doctrines have their roots in Genesis 1-11. This is why these chapters should be defended by Christians---not undermined or ignored by them.

And the whole earth was of one language...
Go to, let us go down,
and there confound their language,
that they may not understand one another's speech.

Genesis 11:1,7
Restored to what it was in the beginning--to ONE Language
For then will I turn to the people a pure language,
that they may all call upon the name of the LORD,
to serve him with one consent.

Creation Moment 6/30/2014 - Another 715

"Our galactic neighborhood just got a lot bigger. NASA on Wednesday announced the discovery of 715 new planets, by far the biggest batch of planets ever unveiled at once.

By way of comparison, about 1,000 planets total had been identified in our galaxy before Wednesday.
Four of those planets are in what NASA calls the "habitable zone," meaning they have the makeup to potentially support life.
The planets, which orbit 305 different stars, were discovered by the Kepler space telescope and were verified using a new technique that scientists expect to make new planetary discoveries more frequent and more detailed.
NASA says 95% of the planets discovered by Kepler are smaller than Neptune, which is four times as big as Earth." CNN

GENESIS ROOTS: Babylon: her sins reach unto heaven

Biblical key doctrines have their roots in Genesis 1-11. This is why these chapters should be defended by Christians---not undermined or ignored by them.

Sargon vs. Moses

"You don't hear it much today, but it used to be all the rage to compare the birth story of Moses to that of a certain Sargon of Assyria, and claim copying was done. That's not heard much anymore,..." Here is why....

"Critics contend that this story is an imitation of an earlier myth about a hero of the ancient Akkadians named Sargon. Sargon recounts his own birth story as follows:
“[My mother] laid me in a vessel made of reeds, closed my door with pitch, and dropped me down into the river, which did not drown me. The river carried me to Akki, the water carrier. Akki the water carrier lifted me up in the kindness of his heart, Akki the water carrier raised me as his own son, Akki the water carrier made of me his gardener. As a gardener, Ishtar, loved me; For 55 years I ruled as king."

"While the Sargon story has some similarities to the Moses story, there are several facts that show the story of Moses has an Egyptian origin and is not derived from the Babylonian story.

1) ....there are differences between the structure and theme of the narratives. While Moses is set in the river because he is of a race suffering genocide, Sargon seems to be set in the river because he is an obstacle to a princess retaining her position. Also, while Moses’s mother has him set gently in the reeds in the hopes of his being found, Sargon’s mother seems to want to kill the child. Sargon even reflects upon her intentions when he says her actions "did not drown me."

2) .... the Exodus account possesses Egyptian vocabulary. This would not be expected if the story had been borrowed from the Akkadians and then set in Egypt. For example, the name Moses shares a root with the Egyptian word mse, which means “to give birth.” The root can be seen in the name of several Pharaohs, including Thutmose and Ramesses. In addition, the Hebrew word for river in the Exodus account is not the usual word nahar, but the word hayeor, which is a Hebrew transliteration of the Egyptian word for Nile.

3)  .....the Sargon story may have been composed in the eighth century B.C. to honor the Assyrian king Sargon II, who wanted to embellish his ancestral tradition. If this is true, it would place the story’s composition several hundred years after the book of Exodus was written, thus eliminating it as a source for the Moses story.

4) ....the suggestion that the story was written in the reign of Sargon II, a much later king who was possibly a usurper, to legitimate his own rule. Some similarities to the reign of Sargon II (721-705 BC) may be suggested. For example, Sargon I claims the conquest of Tilmun as a major conquest. But contact with Tilmun seems to have been limited -- it is mentioned only once before Sargon II. Sargon II boasts of Tilmun in his time sending tribute.

5) The recovery and adoption. - The adoption of Sargon itself is not unusual. Mesopotamian practice of adopting a son and heir, including one that was a foundling, was not uncommon [50]. On the other hand, some commentators suggest that Pharaoh's daughter easily took Moses in because her dipping into the river signified a fertility rite -- and she could easily suppose that Moses was an "answer to prayer."
Adoption as a whole was not uncommon in the ancient world, because it served a variety of needs: Perpetrating the family line; providing free labor and care in old age; and sometimes humanitarian considerations.

6) .... Moses' story contains several elements unknown in the other stories: genocide as a motivation for the hiding; the three months of concealment; the sister as a guardian, and the hiring of the infant's own mother as the one to nurse the child."

From TEKTON Apologetics, DA & CA,

And when she could not longer hide him,
she took for him an ark of bulrushes,
and daubed it with slime and with pitch, and put the child therein;
and she laid it in the flags by the river's brink.
And his sister stood afar off, to wit what would be done to him.
And the daughter of Pharaoh came down to wash herself at the river;
and her maidens walked along by the river's side;
and when she saw the ark among the flags,
she sent her maid to fetch it.
And when she had opened it, she saw the child:
and, behold, the babe wept.
And she had compassion on him,
and said, This is one of the Hebrews' children.

Then said his sister to Pharaoh's daughter,
Shall I go and call to thee a nurse of the Hebrew women,
that she may nurse the child for thee?
And Pharaoh's daughter said to her, Go.
And the maid went and called the child's mother.
And Pharaoh's daughter said unto her,
Take this child away, and nurse it for me,
and I will give thee thy wages.
And the woman took the child, and nursed it.

Creation Moment 6/29/2014 - False Mormon Religion on Creation

By the word of the LORD were the heavens made;
and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth.
Psalm 33:6
Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God,
so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.
Hebrews 11:3
"According to Mormonism, creation ex nihilo (out of nothing) is not to be found in the Bible and is untrue: God created the universe out of matter that pre-existed, and ex nihilo creation is a invention of the apostasized post-Apostolic church. Within Mormon documents, the clearest statement of this doctrine is not found in any of the Standard Works, but in a quasi-official statement made by Joseph Smith upon the occasion of the funeral of fellow Mormon King Follett:
Now I ask all who hear me why the learned men who are preaching salvation say that God created the heavens and the earth out of nothing. The reason is they are unlearned...God had materials to organize the world out of chaos, chaotic matter, which is element, and in which dwells all the glory. Element had an existence from the time He had. The pure principles of element are principles that can never be destroyed, they may be organized and reorganized but not destroyed."  TEKTON Apologetics

 What is the Mormon stance on the theory of evolution?
"The Church has no official position on evolution, and each member is entitled to his own personal views on the subject. In the evolution debate, difficulties have arisen when readers assume that statements by certain leaders represent an official position beyond that expressed by the First Presidency as a body. As expressed by David H. Bailey, a researcher at Lawrence Berkeley Laboratory and author of numerous articles on the relationship between Mormonism and science,
 'Indeed, our motto is “The glory of God is intelligence.” Why not just acknowledge that science and religion address two very different sets of questions, and that the methodology in one arena cannot settle controversies in the other?Wikipedia
Paul spent time in the book of Romans writing about creation---including using it for evidence for God. Since Mormonism today seems to teach something other than what Paul taught---just another reason to stay away from Mormonism.
As we said before, so say I now again,
If any man preach any other gospel unto you
 than that ye have received,
 let him be accursed.

GENESIS ROOTS: "Babel" of "Tongues"

Biblical key doctrines have their roots in Genesis 1-11. This is why these chapters should be defended by Christians---not undermined or ignored by them.

Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language,
that they may not understand one another's speech.

Genesis 11:7

It began as the world descended into the chaos of various "tongues", and here at the end the "churches" have descended into the gibberish chaos of mystical "tongues". There is an inverse relationship, for the tongues at the beginning were foreign languages organized by God. But the gibberish "tongues" in spiritual Babylon today is from the opponent of God--and is just that. Gibberish "tongues" of confusion.

Papal Notes - Francis Wrong Again

From the Catholic Leader----------
"PEOPLE were drawn to Jesus because he was a good shepherd – not a moralist, not power-hungry, not a revolutionary and not a hermit, Pope Francis said."
 Actually, Francis, didn't Christ say to the woman taken in adultery-- ...... go, and sin no moreJohn 8:11....sounds like a moralist to me....
"Jesus “wasn’t embarrassed about talking to sinners, he went to find them” and he felt joy going out, getting close to the people, listening to their problems and offering them healing, the Pope said during an early-morning Mass on June 26 in the chapel of his residence, the Domus Sanctae Marthae."
Actually not quite true. People who talk like this make it sound as though he went to the strip club to reach strippers or something. The sinners usually came to Him. Or He ran into them in public places or out-of-the-way places of solitude.
"According to Vatican Radio, the Pope looked at why so many people came to follow Jesus during his lifetime and not the many religious authorities at the time.
The Pharisees, the Pope said, overburdened the people with laws and requirements that could often be contradictory and, therefore, “cruel” because it was impossible to adhere to every single moral rule."
With all due respect---isn't that the Catholic Church today? I was just listening to Catholic EWTN in the car while on a pizza delivery, and heard them discussing the rules of whether lay people can touch the chalice and who can pour the wine into it and who can transport it....We all know the Catholic Church is based on man made rules that govern every move made in the Church.
"The Sadducees, he said, “had lost the faith” and used their religious authority to strike “deals with those in power: political power and economic power. They were men of power.”
Doesn't this describe the Catholic Church? Aren't they an independent nation at the Vatican? With a seat at the U.N. & their own banking system? Just saying....

And all the earth was in admiration after the beast.

He has made everything beautiful in its time.
He has also set eternity in the hearts of men;
yet they cannot fathom what God has done from beginning to end.
Ecclesiastes 3:11

"Moving and staying put might seem totally different, but they have one key thing in common: force. It takes force for a cell to grab onto a given surface and pull its way through the body, and also to hang on tight against the everyday strains of gravity, blood flow or simple physical movements.
The machinery that cells use to generate such force is a sophisticated mix of “cables,” made of a protein called actin that
Cell Cables
crisscross and link into a kind of sturdy mesh, dotted with molecular “motors,” a second protein, called myosin.
Myosin grabs onto actin and pulls hard. That force spreads across the interconnected mesh and out into the surrounding world, letting cells grasp the world around them.

Cells have a dizzying array of options for how to lay out their cable networks and where to stick their molecular motors. Various arrangements are responsible for why muscle cells produce force differently than skin cells, and why some cells are good at hanging on for dear life whereas others are better at crawling around.

The job of us mathematicians is to come up with equations that help explain how those cables and motors (and some other bits of biological machinery) assemble into a cell’s driving engine. With any luck, our equations can help biologists understand what they’re seeing in the lab, and maybe even to make better choices about what kinds of experiments to perform.....to help answer nine-year-old me’s question about why we don’t all fall apart." GENESIS ROOTS: Begins & Ends at Babel(yon)

Biblical key doctrines have their roots in Genesis 1-11. This is why these chapters should be defended by Christians---not undermined or ignored by them.

And the beginning of his kingdom was Babel,.....in the land of Shinar.
And it came to pass,
as they journeyed from the east,
that they found a plain in the land of Shinar;
and they dwelt there.

And the LORD said,
Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language;
and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them,
which they have imagined to do.

Georgia Guidestones

Briefly, a look at what the Georgia Guidestones are according to Wikipedia......

"The Georgia Guidestones is a granite monument in Elbert County, Georgia, USA. A message clearly conveying a set of ten guidelines is inscribed on the structure in eight modern languages, and a shorter
 message is inscribed at the top of the structure in four ancient languages' scripts: Babylonian, Classical Greek, Sanskrit and Egyptian hieroglyphs.

The monument is 19 feet 3 inches tall, made from six granite slabs weighing 237,746 pounds in all. One slab stands in the center, with four arranged around it. A capstone lies on top of the five slabs, which are astronomically aligned.
In June 1979, an unknown person or persons under the pseudonym R. C. Christian hired Elberton Granite Finishing Company to build the structure.
A message consisting of a set of ten guidelines or principles is engraved on the Georgia Guidestones in eight different languages, one language on each face of the four large upright stones. Moving clockwise around the structure from due north, these languages are: English, Spanish, Swahili, Hindi, Hebrew, Arabic, Chinese and Russian.
  1. Maintain humanity under 500,000,000 in perpetual balance with nature. {This smacks of evolutionary eugenics & WHO gets to decide who makes up the "500,000,000"?}
  2. Guide reproduction wisely — improving fitness and diversity. {More evolutionary eugenics. Talk about "CONTROL" of the human race...didn't Hitler try this?}
  3. Unite humanity with a living new language. {Didn't God
    already decide we should have our languages confounded? WHO gets to decide for the rest of us this "new" language?}
  4. Rule passion — faith — tradition — and all things with tempered reason. {And there it is---their open hostility towards "faith". WHO are they to determine whether your "faith" needs to be "tempered" or not? And just WHO decides what passes for "reason" to do the tempering of your "faith"?}
  5. Protect people and nations with fair laws and just courts. {What makes anyone think this new set of courts will be any fairer than the ones we have now? Especially if they are as authoritarian & intolerant as the authors of the Georgia Guidestones?}
  6. Let all nations rule internally resolving external disputes in a world court. {Didn't we already try this with the League of Nations, the U.N. & the World Court at the Hague? How has
    that worked out? Ask the Israelis slaughtered by Hamas or the Ukrainians right now}
  7. Avoid petty laws and useless officials. {What if people consider the "officials" working in the government set up by the Georgia Guidestones to be "useless"?}
  8. Balance personal rights with social duties. {BINGO--there it is.......your "rights" are only allowed as long as they don't infringe on the "social duties" defined by this group...this is referred to normally as authoritarian/Marxism}
  9. Prize truth — beauty — love — seeking harmony with the infinite. {WHO defines "truth" for us? And what is the "infinite"? This smacks of new-age psycho-babble}
  10. Be not a cancer on the earth — Leave room for nature — Leave room for nature." {So they view humans as a "cancer" on the earth?}
COMMENTARY:
Clearly, whoever spent the magnitude of cash to have this built, and the hush money to keep themselves secret---mean business. They didn't do this for a joke.
Problem is---they are clearly GREEN Marxists of some type - probably rich, secular liberals with a disdain for religion and a negative view of mankind (except for themselves-of course). CONTROL FREAKS.

IF one wants 10 rules for mankind---we already have them in Exodus 20. Summed up as --

And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart,
and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind,
and with all thy strength:
this is the first commandment.
And the second is like, namely this,
Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.
There is none other commandment greater than these.

SDA News - Romney/Carson 2016?

"One interesting pairing that is starting to gain consideration is a ticket featuring former governor Mitt Romney with Dr. Ben Carson as his running mate.

Romney has seen a surge of popularity lately due to a number of his predictions back in 2012 having prophetically come to pass. Carson has also become a favorite among conservatives for boldly discussing Obama’s failed policies at the 2013 National Prayer Breakfast.

via The Christian Post:
If Mitt Romney had renowned neurosurgeon Dr. Benjamin Carson as his running mate in the 2012 presidential elections, he would have been president today, says National Black Church Initiative (NBCI) President Anthony Evans.
“Let’s put it this way. If Mitt Romney had selected Dr. Carson as his running mate in
2012, he would have been President of the United States today,” said Evans in an interview with The Christian Post on Tuesday.
“You don’t need 100 percent of the black vote to win. If 15 percent of the black vote had gone to Romney (in 2012) he would have won, especially in Ohio,” added Evans, who described himself as an independent voter.
“Dr. Carson’s bipartisan belief in the American people, reverence for its history and his refusal to be intimidated by notions of political correctness are refreshing,” said Republican New York City Councilman Dan Halloran to CP.
“In one of his analogies, he correctly pointed out that a bird needs both a left wing and a right wing to fly. There should be a balance of power between the parties, including here in New York. His warnings about education, wild spending and taxes that punish success should be heeded by both parties. If anyone is offended by those ideas, maybe they should ask themselves why.”
Romney and Carson on the same ticket would be amazing. Both of these men understand the history of the country, how the economy works, and the principles of compromise and team work to get things done.
If the pair decide to run together, there’s little doubt that they would win the nomination, and likely the election. It would be a great start to getting the country back on track." ConservativeTribune

Creation Moment 6/27/2014 - Low Probability Chance Events

"A press release from the University of Chicago posted by Newswise confirms .....Using “molecular time travel,” they concluded that the function of a particular protein depended on two prior unlikely mutations.  They did not hesitate to generalize their findings to the whole of evolutionary theory:
This very important protein exists only because of a twist of fate,” said study senior author Joe Thornton, PhD, professor of ecology & evolution and human genetics at the University of Chicago. “If our results are general – and we think they probably are – then many of our body’s systems work as they do because of very unlikely chance events that happened in our deep evolutionary past,” he added.
Indeed, they could say no less, if Darwinian evolution is limited to unguided, natural processes.  To say otherwise would bring in deterministic teleology or intelligent design, both of which are anathema to modern secular biology.
The authors go on to emphasize that contingency goes down to the atomic level, not just the biological level.  Contingency accounts for the diversity of life, they say.
While most prior discussions of historical contingency in evolution have focused on external events such as asteroid impacts, mass extinctions, climate change, Thornton and Harms showed that the intrinsic complexity of proteins as physical objects also makes evolution depend profoundly on low-probability chance events." Creation Moment 6/26/2014 - We Shouldn't Be Here?

"The universe shouldn't exist — at least according to a new theory.

Modeling of conditions soon after the Big Bang suggests the universe should have collapsed just
microseconds after its explosive birth, the new study suggests.
"During the early universe, we expected cosmic inflation — this is a rapid expansion of the universe right after the Big Bang," said study co-author Robert Hogan,...."This expansion causes lots of stuff to shake around, and if we shake it too much, we could go into this new energy space, which could cause the universe to collapse."
Of course, there must be something missing from these calculations.
"We are here talking about it," Hogan told Live Science. "That means we have to extend our theories to explain why this didn't happen."
What they found was bad news for, well, everything. The newborn universe should have experienced an intense jittering in the energy field, known as quantum fluctuation. Those jitters, in turn, could have disrupted the Higgs field, in essence rolling the entire system into a much lower energy state that would make the collapse of the universe inevitable.
So if the universe shouldn't exist, why is it here?
"The generic expectation is that there must be some new physics that we haven't put in our theories yet, because we haven't been able to discover them," Hogan said." yahoo

Q: When did probation's door close for the world in the days of Noah.
A: When God closed the door to the ark. But there followed 7 days before the end came.
So too in the End Time. The door of probation closes before the 7 last plagues are poured out BEFORE the return of Christ.

Actually, it does in today’s Republican Party, where a number of factors have forged a new religious identity that supersedes familiar old categories.
These prominent Republicans are emblematic of the new religious amalgam that, in many instances, has helped refashion denominational differences that

Look no further than the stunning Virginia primary victory of Dave Brat, a Catholic with degrees from a Reformed Protestant college in Michigan and Princeton Theological Seminary, who took down House Majority Leader Eric Cantor last week.
Running in a conservative district in the Richmond suburbs, Brat is described as both a Catholic and Calvinist, labels that would be considered incompatible in almost any realm. He’s a champion of a resurgent movement among Catholic intellectuals that seeks to marry Catholic social teaching with free-market economic libertarianism.
The challenge for Catholic politicians might be finding the balancing act between a Catholic and an evangelical appeal, said Amy E. Black, a political science professor at Wheaton College in Illinois.
“While the Catholic faith used to be a liability, it might even be an asset now,” Black said. “Evangelicals are a solid voting bloc in the Republican Party, whereas Catholics are likely to be swing voters. Republican

Evangelicals have been relatively predictable in the past few elections, while Catholics have been less so. Although Catholic voters have historically tended to be Democratic, recent elections have shown them to be the ultimate swing vote. They backed Al Gore in 2000 (50 percent), George W. Bush in 2004 (52 percent), Barack Obama in 2008 (54 percent) and again in 2012 (50 percent), according to the Pew Research Center.
Evangelicals, on the other hand, have been much more consistently Republican — 79 percent for Mitt Romney in 2012, 73 percent for John McCain in 2008 and 79 percent for Bush in 2004.
The newfound Catholic appeal among the GOP can be seen in the number of high-profile conversions to Rome. Jeb Bush, who comes from a classic blue-blood Episcopal family dynasty, converted to Roman Catholicism years ago. Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal was raised Hindu but converted to Catholicism. Kansas Gov. Sam Brownback converted to Catholicism, but his wife and family still attend evangelical churches. And former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, who was a Southern Baptist for most of his life, converted to his third

“The alliance forged in the trenches between evangelical Protestants and faithful Catholics in the struggle to defend human life and marriage has blossomed into much greater than a mere marriage of convenience,” said Princeton University’s Robert P. George, the de facto leader of the Catholic intellectual political movement. “What has emerged is a spiritual fellowship that I think was not anticipated at the beginning by anybody.”
The challenge, he said, is for Catholic Republicans to speak in authentic ways to a largely evangelical base. Former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum, a Catholic, has figured it out, while others, like 2012 vice presidential nominee Paul Ryan, struggled. “I’m so goofy with that stuff,” Ryan told Buzzfeed after a service where he sang with extended hands. “It’s just not my thing. I’m Catholic!”

P.S.---- It should be noted, for those who think that only the Republicans will implement the mark-of-the-beast (as spiritual "Babylon" appears to be fomenting within it) that Democrats will surely co-operate (assuming it doesn't actually start politically with them).
1) Democrats of the secular left can find common ground through doing it for the GREEN Religion, to set aside a day to reduce our so-called "carbon footprint". That could be their excuse to co-operate.
2) Democrats have poked Christians in the eye with gay marriage & other things during the Obama years helping to escalate the forge of unity between evangelicals, charismatics & Catholics.
3) Democrats are the party of unions & E.G.W tells us the unions will be involved in some way, shape or form.
4) Democrats still have many white & Hispanic Catholic voters as well as evangelical & charismatic black churches. Imagine if they crossed over to join the G.O.P. politically on this issue.
SUMMARY:
We can see what APPEARS to be spiritual Babylon forming within the G.O.P., but Democrats will co-operate when the time comes in some way. It will be both parties at the end of the day.

"If Hillary Clinton doesn't run, another Democrat is in the bullpen mapping out a strategy for Iowa, the place where presidential hopefuls toiling in the minors can move up to the big league.
Maryland Gov. Martin O'Malley is pointedly not avoiding Iowa.
O'Malley, who has been governor since 2006, said Maryland a few weeks ago raised the minimum wage to $10.10.
Henderson said O'Malley has had "a phenomenal political career," signing legislation to abolish Maryland's capital punishment law, to legalize same-sex marriage and to give immigrant children in-state college tuition." DesMoinesRegister

"Wide-ranging reaction poured in Friday after a decision by Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley (D) to veto a bill that would have delayed — and likely derailed — a proposed wind farm in Somerset County.

Supporters of the veto praised O’Malley’s commitment to green energy and the environment, while detractors said the proposed wind farm poses a threat to the Patuxent River Naval Air Station, just across the Chesapeake Bay.
Here’s a sampling of what people had to say.

Best for the planet

“By vetoing HB1168, Governor O’Malley has continued to put Maryland in the forefront of the nation in moving toward sustainable energy and green jobs, and has cemented his legacy as the most forward-looking governor in the country in this regard. Governor O’Malley has done what is best for the citizens of Maryland and the planet.”
