31 Day Daily Devotional SERIES for the Garden of the Heart: DAY 28

DAY 28

For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ;
that every one may receive the things done in his body,
according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.
2 Corinthians 5:10

 PHASE 1
Pre-Advent--who is saved and lost
I beheld till the thrones were cast down,
and the Ancient of days did sit,
whose garment was white as snow,
and the hair of his head like the pure wool:
his throne was like the fiery flame,
and his wheels as burning fire.
A fiery stream issued and came forth from before him:
thousand thousands ministered unto him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him
the judgment was set,
and the books were opened.
Daniel 7:9,10

PHASE 2
Saints Judge the lost during Millennium
And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them,
and judgment was given unto them:
and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshiped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands
and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.
Revelation 20:4

PHASE 3
The wicked then Judge that
God was right  about them
And when the thousand years are expired
Satan shall be loosed out of his prison,
And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea.
And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it,
from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away;
and there was found no place for them.
And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God;
and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
The sea gave up its dead, and death and the grave gave up their dead. And all were judged according to their deeds.
Revelation 20:17,8,1-13 NLT

DAILY REMINDER
Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels,
and have not LOVE, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.
And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries,
and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains,
and have not LOVE, I am nothing.
And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not LOVE, it profiteth me nothing.
LOVE suffereth long, and is kind;
LOVE envieth not;
LOVE vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,
Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own,
is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;
And now abideth faith, hope, LOVE, these three;
but the greatest of these is LOVE.
 And from Jesus Christ, ....Unto him that loved us,
and washed us from our sins in his own blood,...
1 Corinthians 13:1-5,13/Revelation 1:5

"God has gone to more trouble than any other being to elicit our
cooperation, calling us “kings and priests” (Revelation 1: 6), rather than to act alone and independent.
The reason there is a judgment
is because God is not running a hierarchical dictatorship.

The final judgment is a most solemn, awful event.
This must take place before the universe.
God will be honored and His government vindicated and glorified, and that in the presence of the inhabitants of the unfallen worlds.
On the largest possible scale will the government of God be vindicated and exalted.

"The trump of God sounds as the Savior descends from heaven. When that trump is heard,
all the righteous are, in the twinkling of an eye, changed to immortality.
There can be no examination after this to determine whether they shall be counted worthy of eternal life, for they will then have already laid hold upon it.

From this it follows that the examination and decision of the cases of the righteous takes place before the advent of Christ. "

Closing Thought for the Day
And he shewed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the LORD, and Satan standing at his right hand to resist him.
And the LORD said unto Satan
The LORD rebuke thee, O Satan; even the LORD that hath chosen Jerusalem rebuke thee: is not this a brand plucked out of the fire

Now Joshua was clothed with filthy garments, and stood before the angel. And he answered and spake unto those that stood before him, saying, Take away the filthy garments from him
And unto him he said, Behold, I have caused thine iniquity to pass from thee, and I will clothe thee with change of raiment.
Zechariah 3:1-4
