Did anyone notice how the Papacy of today has a foot in BOTH
Protestant camps?
* They form a political alliance with the Christian Conservatives (mostly evangelical & charismatics) on SOCIAL ISSUES (such as opposition to abortion, gay marriage) and the call for RELIGIOUS LIBERTY (which has been seriously eroded the last decade by the secular left).
* They form an alliance with the Theological Liberals (mostly Mainline Protestants) on the SOCIAL GOSPEL (such as support for big government in the name of the "poor" & bashing capitalism) and their support for the GREEN GOSPEL (centered on "climate change").
