IN the NEWS - Pope Bump for Democrats?

"When it comes to climate change, there's a pope bump.
But it's mostly among the true believers of global warming, a new study has found.

Liberals, however, came to see the pope as an authority on global warming, and it made them more supportive of mitigation policies, said Asheley Landrum, a researcher at the Annenberg Public Policy Center.
"We hoped the pope would have been able to adjust people's perceptions, climate change views or make them more concerned, but in actuality, it looks like it sort of just revved up the base, reminded
everybody who was already concerned about climate change that this was an important issue," she said.
