Flesh vs. the Spirit

That which is born of the flesh is flesh;
and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
John 3:6

For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh;
but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.
Romans 8:5

For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing:
For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit,
and the Spirit against the flesh:
and these are contrary the one to the other:
so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.
The acts of the flesh are obvious:
sexual immorality,
impurity and debauchery;
idolatry,
sorcery,
hatred,
contentions,
jealousies,
outbursts of wrath,
selfish ambitions,
dissensions,
heresies,
and envy;
drunkenness,
orgies, and the like.
I warn you, as I did before,
that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.
Romans 7:18/Galatians 5:17,19-21 NIV/NJV/NLT

"Love, the basis of creation and of redemption, is the basis of true education. This is made plain in the law that God has given as the guide of life.'
