We begin with the last verse of Hosea 3---leading us into chapter 4...
Afterward shall the children of Israel (God's people) return, and seek the LORD their God, and David (David-a type for Christ) their king;
So obviously this is a dual application-then & for us in the end times....
By swearing,
and lying,
and killing,
and stealing,
and committing adultery,
they break out, and blood toucheth blood.
Therefore ("Therefore" means "because of") shall the land mourn, and every one that dwelleth therein shall languish, ("Languish" means to be diseased and/or enfeebled)
with the beasts of the field,
and with the fowls of heaven;
yea, the fishes of the sea also shall be taken away.
