2 Chronicles 15 / Ephraim, Manasseh, Simeon

And when Asa heard these words, and the prophecy of Oded the prophet, he took courage,
and put away the abominable idols out of all the land of Judah and Benjamin,
and out of the cities which he had taken from mount Ephraim,
and renewed the altar of the LORD,....And he gathered all Judah and Benjamin,
and the strangers with them out of Ephraim and Manasseh, and out of Simeon:
2 Chronicles 15:8,9

Is this a "Type" of something?
Ephraim, God's people coming to Him from the west?
Manasseh, those coming from the north out of spiritual Babylon?
Simeon, those from the gentiles of the world coming up from the south?

And what else about this event?
Now for a long season Israel hath been without the true God, and without a teaching priest, and without law. 2 Chronicles 15:3

* Back in the days of the sanctuary, the cornerstone tribes represented:
EAST: Judah=Christ, the Lion of Judah, who roars through the sanctuary opening (which was always on the east) right through the plan of redemption (outer court, inner court, Most Holy Place for Day of Atonement/Judgment) to rescue His people.
WEST: Ephraim=People of God patiently waiting for His return (the "patience of the saints").
NORTH: Dan=Spiritual Babylon to the north of Israel.
SOUTH: Reuben=Spiritual Egypt (the "world"/gentiles).
