Meditation Upon the PSALMS Series: Psalm 9

"Psalm 9:1 I will praise [Thee], O LORD, with my whole heart; I will show forth all thy marvelous works.
Marvelous works”:
This especially references God’s extraordinary interventions into
history on behalf of His people.

Psalm 9:3 When mine enemies are turned back, they shall fall and perish at Thy presence.
"Are turned back"
It is the result of God's power alone.

Psalm 9:5 Thou hast rebuked the heathen, Thou hast destroyed the wicked, Thou hast put out their name for ever and ever. The whole of this denotes the utter ruin and shameful end of the enemies of Christ.

Psalm 9:10 And they that know Your name will put their trust in You.
God’s Name is His Character: So the name of God is the expression of His character. One may be familiar with the form and sound of the words which are used in His titles, without knowing the name of the Lord. His name is just what He is, and only those who are personally acquainted with Him know what His name is.

They that know Your name will put their trust in You,–we may know that it means that they will take refuge in God. And this is in keeping with the verse just before: 9 The Lord also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble. The Revised Version has it, “a high tower.” God himself is a Tower, a Rock of defense, a tower of Refuge; so we read, Proverbs 18:10 The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous runs into it, and is safe. His name is a strong tower, an impregnable fortress."

SDA Issues: Infiltration of Marxist Thought into Adventist Institutions SEIRES: General Conference Statements

But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath,... Romans 2:8

"The Global Poverty statement adopted by the General Conference in 2010 calls on Adventists to “advocate for public policy” and to cooperate with governmental and non-governmental organizations in support of the United Nations Millennium Development Goals
(General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists [GC], 2010). Although well-intentioned, the language mirrors global policy frameworks that define “justice” and “sustainabilityin secular, human-centered terms.

A decade later, the GC’s One Humanity: A Human Relations Statement (GC, 2020) committed the church to oppose “racism, casteism, tribalism, and ethnocentrism” and to become “a Church that is just and caring.” The vocabulary of justice, inclusion, and equity reflects moral categories that overlap heavily with Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) discourse common in public institutions. ....the form of expression mirrors that of the broader social-justice movement."

Tectonic Plates and the Flood

"One of the most incredible claims of modern science is that
continents move. When
Alfred Wegener proposed a version of this theory in 1912, fellow scientists accused him of “pseudoscience,” “delirious ravings,” and suffering from “moving crust disease.”
*Now that his theory is widely accepted, most schoolbooks and museums present it simply as fact, without detailed justification.

Christians need to be careful of both extremes, especially on a topic so central to our understanding of earth history.
---Just because evolutionists developed a theory doesn’t make it wrong,
---but scientific “consensus” doesn’t mean we should blindly accept everything they say without some fact-checking.
---No one wants to sound like Wegener’s original close-minded, shrill opponents.

Q: Have you ever wondered why some of the most powerful earthquakes strike places like southern California but leave other regions unscathed?
Q: Why do active volcanoes explode in the Pacific Northwest but skip the Midwest?
Similar patterns are repeated around the globe and demand an explanation. They are important clues indicating that the earth's surface really does move.

Most of the world’s active volcanoes occur in linear belts that coincide with earthquake zones. This is especially obvious at the outer edge of the Pacific Ocean. Volcanoes are so plentiful here that this circle is called the “Ring of Fire.” Active volcanoes belch out steam, ash, and lavas from the upwelling of hot molten rock (called magma) from inside the earth.
Q:Why are so many volcanoes here and not elsewhere?

Not only do earthquakes track around the rim of the Pacific Ocean, they also encircle the globe in an interlinked pattern. A line of earthquake zones runs down the center of the Atlantic Ocean and then east into the Indian Ocean, where it splits in two, one branch heading northward towards Arabia, and the other branch heading eastward into the Pacific Ocean. Clearly something is happening at these special zones.

Geologists believe that this interlinked pattern of earthquake zones and active volcanoes marks the edges of “plates” that divide the earth’s outer skin, or crust, into more than a dozen pieces. (Strictly speaking, the plates include the uppermost mantle beneath the crustal pieces.) They claim that the movements of these plates cause earthquakes and volcanoes.

The study of earth movements is technically known as “tectonics,” so the study of plate movements is called “plate tectonics.” (Note that it is no longer accurate to call it “continental drift.” We now know that the ocean floor crust is also moving. In fact, the Pacific, Nazca, Cocos, and Scotia plates are moving even though they consist almost entirely of ocean floor crust.)
Perhaps you never realized it, but the earth has two different types of crust. When ocean vessels began sampling the ocean floor in the 1960s, scientists realized how different the ocean crust was from the continents’ crust.

The differences are very distinct.
The continents are made up of many different rock types, but if we were to grind them all up, the average composition would be similar to granite. On the other hand, drilling into the ocean floors has revealed that the oceanic crust beneath the ooze is made up of basalt (dark volcanic rock). Granites contain a lot of silicon and not so much iron and magnesium, whereas basalts contain a lot less silicon but much more iron and magnesium.

Cooled oceanic crust is heavier than the hot mantle beneath it. So it tends to sink. The continental crust, in contrast, is much lighter (less dense), so it floats. As a result, the continents “ride” higher than the ocean crust. If they collide, the ocean crust would slide under the continental crust because it is heavier.
The high pressure and temperature in a collision would cause a melting reaction that would ultimately send hot magma from the upper mantle toward the surface. Scientists have checked the chemistry of many lavas on the edges of continents and found that they are generally mixtures of ocean basalt rock and continental granitic rocks, producing intermediate rocks called andesites and dacites.

Wherever oceanic plates are pulling apart, geologists would expect to find lava that rose from the uppermost mantle beneath the rift to produce new oceanic crust. The best example is the boundary down the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. The rifting has produced a topographic feature known as the Mid-Atlantic Ridge. When scientists tested the lava in this region, they found it matches typical oceanic crust.

Plates also push against, or collide into, one another. This has two results.
If two continental plates collide, they buckle and crumple in the
collision zone to produce mountains
. The best example is the Himalayas. Here geologists find lower continental crust material (granites) intruded into buckled metamorphosed sedimentary layers.
If an oceanic plate collides with a continental plate, it is pushed down underneath the edge of the continental plate (technically known as subduction). One of the best-known examples is off the coast of Peru and Chile. Here the Nazca plate is being pushed down under the South American plate. The result is the Andes Mountains. Here geologists find lavas that are a mixture of oceanic and continental crust material (called andesite).
Another possible interaction is plates sliding past one another. Here geologists find earthquakes but not volcanoes. The most infamous example is the San Andreas Fault of southern California, the boundary between the Pacific and North American plates. Every time these plates move along that fault zone, devastating earthquakes result.

Q: Since scientists weren’t present to study the original lavas when they flowed out of mid-oceanic ridges, how do they know the lavas came from the boundary between two plates and then pushed the plates in opposite directions?
Scientists found the lavas had formed a unique pattern when they cooled, known as magnetic “stripes”.
Molten material rises wherever plates are separating. As the lava cools, magnetic portions point toward the earth’s magnetic north. New deposits point in a different direction if the magnetic north has flipped. The unique pattern of matching magnetic “stripes” on the
seafloor—on either side of the mid-oceanic ridge—shows it has been spreading.

It appears that in the past the earth’s magnetic field changed direction. So when each new surge of seafloor basalts upwelled and cooled, it should have recorded a different magnetic field direction. This is possible because basalts contain magnetic iron in a mineral called magnetite. When the magma cools, regions within the magnetite crystals (called magnetic domains) align themselves with the magnetic field and “freeze” into the rock, recording the direction of the earth’s magnetic field at that time.

Another amazing prediction of plate tectonics is the existence of the plate that drove into the western edge of North America, pushing up the Rocky Mountains and then disappearing under the continent. Scientists predicted this plate should have sunk deep into the mantle under western North America. They were able to test their prediction after the development of seismic tomography (using seismic waves to make a 3D image of the earth’s interior). As expected, they found the missing plate, known as the Farallon plate, deep in the mantle.

Genesis 7:11 says the Flood began with the breaking up of “the fountains of the great deep.” This catastrophic bursting of hot waters and upwelling molten rock would have caused a massive rift in the seafloor (“the great deep”). Such rifting would have rapidly spread around the globe, including across the pre-Flood supercontinent, tearing it apart to make today’s continents.

Shortly thereafter, the cold pre-Flood ocean crust would have started to sink, being subducted under the less dense continental crust, which continued to “float.”
Scientist John Baumgardner has shown that plate movements would have been extremely fast during the Flood event, compared to what we observe today.
Most of the continents were moved by seafloor spreading and runaway subduction during the Flood year
Today, we merely see residual movements of the plates, but enough to powerfully explain where all the earthquakes, active volcanoes, mid-ocean ridges, and deep-sea trenches
 occur on earth."

Creation Moment 2/16/2026 - Darwin's T.O.E.

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; Romans 1:16

"Darwinism was never merely a theory of biology. It is in its very DNA a form of process-metaphysics popularized by early 19th century philosopher Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel.
Its logic (usually called the Dialectic) embraces contradiction (A and not-A) in order to maintain the illusion of an immanent self-grounding, ever-ascending, autonomic reality; it will not stop at the “water’s edge” of biology. By its own logic it must expand into a Theory of Everything (TOE).

Materialist science wanted a world without an originating Mind, but they ended up with a world that is nothing but the operation of Mind-like Process – a “logic” that creates objectivity as it goes.

The Darwinian TOE is a closed loop:
Biology is explained by Selection.
Quantum Reality is explained by Selection.
Cosmology is explained by Selection
Q: But what does “selection” mean if there is no stable reality doing the selecting?

First proposed by theoretical physicist Lee Smolin in 1992, and further detailed in his 1997 book The Life of the Cosmos, Cosmological Natural Selection (CNS) attempts to explain the “fine-tuning” of the universe’s physical constants without recourse to the Anthropic Principle or, critically, to a Designer. Smolin’s model relies on three primary pillars:
1) Reproduction: New “baby universes” are born inside black holes. The singularity of a black hole in a “parent” universe triggers a Big
Bang in a “
child” universe, creating a branching lineage of spacetimes.
2) Variation: The fundamental constants of physics (e.g., the strength of gravity, the mass of the electron) are not fixed but undergo slight, random “mutations” during the transition from parent to child.
3) Selection: Universes whose constants are “fit” for producing many black holes will have more offspring. Over vast stretches of “cosmic time,” the population of universes in the multiverse becomes dominated by those optimized for black hole production. Smolin argues that because the conditions required to produce black holes – such as the existence of heavy elements like carbon and the longevity of stars – are nearly identical to the conditions required for life, human existence is a ‘natural byproduct’ of the universe’s own reproductive success.

We are reduced from the Imago Dei – beings designed to perceive and steward the truthto “generalized proteins” whose only value is our potential role in helping a 3+1 dimensional spacetime “organism” to replicate itself."

Meditation Upon the PSALMS Series: Psalm 8

"Psalm 8:1 Lord, our Lord, how excellent is Your name in all the
earth!
Who has set Your glory above the heavens.
THE first occurrence of the Hebrew word rendered “above” in this text is:
Genesis 1:2 Darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. In the Revised Version the text reads, Psalm 8 [RV] 1...Who has set Your glory upon the heavens. Both renderings are correct, for the original word has the idea of: nearness, over, upon, against. The glory of God is far above all heavens, but it rests upon them. One thing is taught by the text, and that is that the glory that shines in the heavens is the glory of God.

Psalm 8:2 Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings have You ordained strength because of your enemies, that You might still the enemy and the avenger.

Psalm 8:4-8 What is man, that You are mindful of him? and the son of man, that You visit him?
For You have made him a little lower than the angels, and have
crowned him with glory and honor.
You made him to have dominion over the works of your hands;
you have put all things under his feet:
All sheep and oxen, yea, and the beasts of the field;
The fowl of the air, and the fish of the sea, and whatsoever passes through the paths of the seas.
Man was made of the dust of the earth, and had in himself no
more glory than the dust that still remained on the face of the
earth; yet God made him in His own image, “crowned him with
glory and honor,” and caused him to have dominion over the
works of His hands.

Since God is light, it was but natural that the being who was to
be His representative on the earth, should bear His glory, even to a higher degree than the heavens, over which he was given dominion.
And here is the comfort of this for the struggling, trembling Christian: Since God can silence all His enemies by babes and sucklings, what an abundant deliverance must be ours when He bows the heavens and comes down, riding upon the heavens for our help, and in His excellency on the sky:
Deuteronomy 33:26 There is none like unto the God of Jeshurun, who rides upon the heaven in your help, and in His excellency on the sky.

SDA Issues: Infiltration of Marxist Thought into Adventist Institutions SEIRES: The Language of the Age and the Church

"Every generation faces the challenge of communicating the gospel in a changing world.

Language, however, is never neutral.
Words carry worldviews.

Whoever defines the terms defines the debate, and whoever shapes the debate shapes belief.
As the American linguist Edward Sapir stated, "Human beings... are
very much at the mercy of the particular language which has become the medium of expression for their society".
He further elaborated that "We see and hear and otherwise experience very largely as we do because the language habits of our community predispose certain choices of interpretation" (1929).
This strongly suggests that language is inherently biased by cultural assumptions and worldviews.

Philosopher Ludwig Wittgenstein (1922) famously articulated the deep connection between language and our perception of reality, stating "The limits of my language mean the limits of my world". The

Marxist philosopher and linguist V.N. Voloshinov (often associated with Mikhail Bakhtin) argued that "Every word is a microcosm of the world, every word is a philosophy." (1973).

The French philosopher Michel Foucault (1978) extensively explored how "discourse” is inseparable from power relations. He argued that the power to define "what can be said" and "who can speak" fundamentally shapes societal knowledge and belief.

Finally, in modern cognitive linguistics, authors like George Lakoff (2004) emphasize how political "framing" through language heavily influences public opinion and belief systems. He argues that political discourse relies on specific, culturally embedded frames, and controlling the frame, or defining the terms, is essential to winning a debate and shaping public understanding.

Secular scholars and academics understand these principles on how influencing, shaping and reengineering culture and worldviews through language work and operate. In recent decades, secular society has produced a new moral vocabulary—equity, systemic oppression, inclusion, diversity, allyship, and social justice. These terms, born out of Marxist and postmodern theories (Mor Barak, 2005), often embed values that differ from biblical anthropology and morality.

In official statements and institutional materials, the Seventh-day Adventist Church increasingly employs this same vocabulary in its attempts to address racism, poverty, and human suffering. ...the uncritical adoption of the world’s terminology risks compromising the distinct prophetic mission entrusted to the remnant church

Scripture warns,
Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind” (Romans 12:2, NKJV).
When the church begins to think and speak in the categories of the world, its transformation becomes reversal.

This paper offers a public apologetic and prophetic warning: that the borrowing of secular ideological language—especially language rooted in Marxist social theory—inevitably shapes thought, theology, and practice.
It will demonstrate, through examples from official SDA sources, how such language has become normalized, and then will analyze, through Scripture and the writings of Ellen G. White, why this blending of sacred and profane language is spiritually dangerous, even when pursued for a “good cause.”

IN the NEWS - Sunday is now in Vogue..... Literally

"Vogue magazine has long been synonymous with fashion, culture, luxury, and the arts. It does not merely report on trends—it helps create them. Vogue has an international following and helps shape what its readers perceive as desirable and elegant. On February 12, 2026, Vogue published an article connecting Sunday rest with French culture and sophistication, promoting the concept of a “French Sunday.” By depicting Sunday as the day set apart for leisure, beauty, and rest—the magazine has elevated the day to something more refined and aspirational, above the rest of the days of the week.

Vogue described the meaning of “French Sunday” as follows:
The art of Sunday à la française, otherwise known as ‘French Sunday,’ has recently come to wider attention. With good reason: In
France, the last day of the week is not reserved for chores or errands, but for resting, reflecting, reconnecting, and resetting. It’s for nurturing connections with family, friends, and yourself. In many regions of the country, most shops and services are closed, so there’s not much pressure to get a lot done anyway
.”
Sunday should be a day of rest, and it must be protected from the efficiency and urgency that often permeates the rest of the week.”
The French even have sayings that capture this directive, like “Que votre dimanche soit comblé de grâce, de paix, et de bénédiction,” which basically means “May your Sunday be filled with grace, peace, and blessings.”
French Sundays are supposed to be lazy, stress-free days, when the main activity is to do nothing.”
Most of all, it’s about embodying the softer side of life and yourself with the deep inner knowing that taking it easy is just as worthwhile as everything else.”

The language used by Vogue romanticizes Sunday as something superior to the rest of the week. By presenting “French Sunday” as something refined and cultured, Vogue is intentionally elevating Sunday above all other days
But it goes even further. The article states that Sunday “must be protected,” implying that the day is under threat and that society bears a responsibility to safeguard it. This type of language lays out the justification to preserve Sunday through legislative measure.
Vogue is not a theological journal or a church publication; but it is one of the most influential cultural and fashion authorities in the world. When a platform of that magnitude begins calling for Sunday to be “protected” and describes its preservation as “non-negotiable,” this indicates that one day Vogue will join the popular push for legal enactment. From a prophetic perspective, this normalization of Sunday rest represents a preliminary step in shaping public sentiment to support a Sunday law."

Creation Moment 2/15/2026 - Scripture CREATED by CREATOR

"The Bible claims to be the revealed Word of the infinite Creator God. And it is! It is God-breathed (All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 2 Timothy 3:16).

The Bible is not just a guide to life or a book of stories.
The Bible is a revelation from the one who is infinite in knowledge, to give us the key information in history that is foundational to building the right way of thinking about the present.
Because God reveals to us the events of the past that we need to know and because God’s Word is totally truthful/trustworthy, these events are the key to understanding why things are as we observe them in the present."

Meditation Upon the PSALMS Series: Psalm 7

"One Pursued by the Enemy
Psalm 7:1,2
O Lord my God, in You do I take refuge; save me from all them that pursue me, and deliver me; Lest he tear my soul like a lion, rending it in pieces, when there is none to deliver.
*This is the cry of a soul in extreme peril.
*He is chased by an enemy who is like a raging lion, which will tear him in pieces if he does not find a place of safety.
We see at the very outset that we have before us the cry of a soul pursued by Satan, the great Destroyer; for: 1 Peter 5:8 The devil, as a roaring lion, goes about, seeking whom he may devour.

Psalm 7:3-5 O Lord my God, if I have done this; if there be
iniquity in my hands: If I have rendered evil to him that was at peace with me; (I have even delivered him that was my enemy without cause); Let the enemy chase my soul and catch it; and let him tread my life to the earth, and cast down my glory to the dust.

The lion cares nothing for the fact that his prey is inoffensive, and has done him no injury. He is filled with a desire to destroy, and he slays to gratify his own passion for destroying. So the devil lies in wait for the innocent, as shown in his dealing with our first parents in the garden of Eden.

Psalm 7:6,7 Arise, O Lord, in your anger; lift up yourself against the fury of my adversaries; and awake for me the judgment You have commanded. So shall the congregation of the peoples compass You about, and over it return You on high.
Read in the light of the first section of the psalm, this cry for vengeance does not seem so revengeful as it sometimes does to the careless reader.
---It is not the demand of one man for vengeance upon other men who are hostile to him, but it is a call for judgment upon the arch-enemy. Moreover it is inspired by the Holy Spirit, so that the element of human passion does not enter into it.

Psalm 7:11 God is angry with the wicked every day.
The words in italics, however, show what was added by the translators. Even if we take the text as it stands in the common version, there need be no difficulty, since we see that “the wickedare not sinners on probation, but the devil and all his hosts, both of angels, and of men who have sold themselves to him to persecute the godly

Psalm 7:11 God is a righteous judge, yea, a God that has
indignation continually.

Q: Is it not comforting to know that we are not left alone and forgotten?
Psalm 7:17 I will give thanks unto the Lord according to His righteousness: and will sing praises to the name of Jehovah Most High. And thus we find, as we always shall, that the portion of Scripture which Satan uses for the purpose of discouraging people, is the one that is full of comfort for them."

Creation Moment 2/14/2026 - Darwin's Doubts

Lift up your eyes on high, and behold who hath created these things.... Isaiah 40:26

"There is also, though, a necessary and logical implication of Darwinian materialism that vitiates the whole materialist narrative, Darwinism included.
This comes to light when we think, under the assumption of
Darwinian materialism, about why humans seem to seek truth
This was a problem for Darwin, who cared about truth and worried that his theory undermined the trustworthiness of human reason: “With me the horrid doubt always arises whether the convictions of man’s mind, which has developed from the mind of lower animals, are of any value or at all trustworthy. Would anyone trust in the convictions of a monkey’s mind, if there are any convictions in such a mind?”

Meditation Upon the PSALMS Series: Psalm 6

Psalm 6:1 Rebuke me not in Thine anger:
(verse 1), indicates that David is conscious of deserving rebuke.
However, he prays, as always, “Have mercy upon me, O Lord” (verse 2).
The miseries of the depressed are both physical and psychological, and often the description of the two conditions is interwoven (verse 2-3).
In the grave who shall give Thee thanks”:
(Verse 5), serves to remind the LORD that David’s continued praise and witness depend on his preservation.
David’s cries, coming up from the depths of his personal pit of persecution, indicate a radical change in his frame of mind as he addresses two different audiences.
(1) Pouring out His Soul before God: A defeatist Frame of Mind (6:1-7).
A.A tone of Helplessness (6:1-4);
B.A tone of Hopelessness (6:5-7).
(2)Turning His Attention to His Enemies: A Defiant Frame of Mind (6:8-10).
A. His Boldness about it (6:8a);
B. His Basis for it (6:8b-10).
Psalm 6 is the first of the penitential psalms (6; 32; 38; 51; 102;
130; 143
).
David prays the words of this psalm when he is deeply troubled by something, possibly an illness that his own sin may have caused (41:4; Hosea 6:1).
Mercy”:

Meditation Upon the PSALMS Series: Psalm 5

"Psalm 5:3 My voice shall You hear in the morning, O Lord.
THIS verse in the 5th Psalm is more than a mere statement of the fact that in the morning I will pray. “My voice shall You hear” is an assurance given by the Holy Spirit that God will hear us when we do lift up our voice to Him.
Isaiah 50:4 He wakens morning by morning, He wakens my ear to hear.

Psalm 5 3 My voice shall You hear in the morning, O Lord; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto You, and will look up.

THE Revised Version renders its, “and will keep watch.”
Q: For what would he look up and keep watch?
---Evidently for the blessings for which he prayed.

Psalm 5:11 But let all those that put their trust in You rejoice; let them ever shout for joy, because You defend them; let them also that love your name be joyful in You.
ALTHOUGH this was written by David, it is the language of the Holy Spirit.”

Creation Moment 2/12/2026 - That Viral Video of Nails

For by Him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by Him, and for Him: Colossians 1:16

"One of the classic arguments for the existence of a Creator God is that order doesn’t come from disorder. In other words, our universe is precisely ordered—from the movements of the planets in their orbits to the structure of atoms. Everything is amazingly precise and orderly, and that couldn’t have come from a random universe that began with a “big bang.” But a viral video claims to disprove this idea by supposedly showing order coming from disorder.

In the video, a person picks up a box of jumbled up nails and shakes the box until all of the nails fall into neat, orderly lines.

Now, of course, it’s obvious a human made the nails, a human made the box, a human shook the box (not too hard, not too soft), and
therefore intelligence was involved in the whole process. But, in a series of responses to criticisms such as that, the X user shows other videos of “order” coming from disorder and showing the scientific principles behind it (such as crystals and minerals forming in highly organized patterns, seemingly without an intelligence behind them).

But this individual is missing an important point—there are immaterial laws governing why nails shaken in a box will align themselves or why crystals will form in precise ways.
Q: And where do immaterial laws of nature and physics come from?

In a completely material, naturalistic universe—such as the one this X user presumably believes in (and that atheists believe in)—there can’t be immaterial laws of physics and nature.
Q:After all, where do they come from?
Q:How does a materialistic process create something immaterial?
Q:And why should those laws work everywhere and work the same every time, thus allowing us to trust the uniformity of nature?

The viral video merely shows that there are immaterial laws of nature that work because there is a Creator—the God of the Bible—who designed these laws and upholds his creation."

Meditation Upon the PSALMS Series: Psalm 4

"Psalm 4:8 indicates that this psalm is an evening prayer.
Have mercy upon me”, (verse 1), is a cry that David and others echo throughout the Psalter: the pious always petition for God’s
benevolent attributes to be demonstrated.

Psalm 4 also exhibits the changing attitudes of the worshiper in his most difficult of circumstances.
David’s movement will be from anxiety to assurance, as he travels down the road of prayer and trust in God.
At the end of yet another day of pressure, pain, and persecution, David engages in 3 conversations which ultimately lead to a point of blessed relaxation:
1.Praying to God for Preservation (4:1);
2.Reasoning with His enemies about Repentance (4:2-5);
3.Praising God for True Perspective (4:6-8).

Psalm 4:2O ye sons of men, how long [will ye turn] my glory into shame? [how long] will ye love vanity, [and] seek after leasing? Selah.
The problem above is they are sons of men.
These are men who have not been grafted into the family of God, and become sons of God. This would be worldly men who have their thoughts stayed upon things of this world.

Psalm 4:4 Stand in awe, and sin not: commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still. Selah.
In this context, the admonition means to tremble or shake in the fear of the Lord so as not to sin.
This can be translated “come to your senses” or “be stirred, tremble”.

Psalm 4:8 I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, LORD, only makest me dwell in safety.
The word “
safety” introduces a play on words by going back to the term “trust” (in verse 5). David evidences a total confidence in God amidst his crisis.
One of the most popular memorized prayers of children begins, “Now I lay me down to sleep”.
Many adults in our society lay down to sleep, but the cares of this world will not let them sleep. If a person has perfect peace, sleep should come easily."

HEALTH NOTE - Meat & Colon Cancer

 Beloved,
I wish above all things that thou mayest...be in health,..
3 John 1:2

"Processed meats—such as salami, bacon, and hot dogs—increase the risk of colorectal and other cancers. Nitrites, nitrates, and other
additives used to preserve cured meats are considered
carcinogenic. It’s best to choose leaner, unprocessed meats, such as poultry or fish.
All pork, beef, goat, veal, and lamb are considered red meat. According to one scientific study, high consumption of red meat could cause alkylation, a DNA mutation that predisposes individuals to
colorectal cancer."

IN the NEWS - Satellites spot 115 ft 'monster' waves in Pacific danger zone

And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;... Luke 21:25

WE ARE NOT predicting this will manifest into a major Disaster---but rather to point out the Future Possible Calamities that could befall the earth in the end times that cause people to call for the implementation of the Mark of the Beast as they cry out to turn back to God.

"Satellites have confirmed what mariners long suspected but could never fully prove: the open Pacific can spawn waves as tall as a ten‑story building, marching across entire ocean basins. The latest measurements of 115 foot crests in a volatile North Pacific corridor turn a once anecdotal “rogue wave” legend into a precisely mapped hazard zone for ships, coastlines, and critical infrastructure.
Those towering walls of water did not just batter one storm center and fade. They radiated outward, circling the globe and feeding powerful swells that later hammered places like Hawaii and the
U.S. West Coast, underscoring how a single extreme event in the mid‑ocean can shape surf, flooding risk, and coastal safety thousands of miles away.
For the first time, a network of orbiting instruments has tracked a North Pacific mega‑storm in real time as it generated waves up to
 115 feet high
in deep water. Using radar altimeters and other sensors, Satellites Spot the storm’s most violent seas in the central Pacific, capturing individual crests that rival the height of city office blocks.
Forecasts for the U.S.
mainland show how that plays out on the ground, with Waves as tall as 10 feet expected to pound west‑facing beaches in San Diego County starting Friday. Local officials warn that the incoming swell will generate dangerous rip currents along the entire San Diego County coastline, a reminder that even “moderate” surf heights can be deadly when combined with long‑period energy from a distant storm."

Creation Moment 2/11/2026 - Is nature the 67th book of the Bible?

For we know that the whole creation groans and suffers the pains of childbirth together until now. Romans 8:22 NASB

"I’ve had many people tell me that God gave us “two books”—the Bible and nature—and that both are equally valid for discovering truth.
Q: Is nature really the 67th book of the Bible?
---This claim is made to accommodate evolution and millions of years. Those who say nature is the 67th book are not talking about
general revelation in the sense of
Romans 1—that God’s existence and power are obvious to everyone through what he has made. Rather, they’re claiming man’s interpretation (i.e., evolution and millions of years) of the evidence is “the book of nature”—even though such ideas contradict God’s written Word!
---Nature is cursed. We aren’t looking at the world as God made it. According to Biblical history, we’re looking at a creation that was once “very good” but is now cursed with death and suffering (because of sin) and was judged by a global flood. We can’t look at this creation and figure out what happened in the past without the eyewitness revelation of the Creator (given in Genesis 1–11).
No, nature isn’t the 67th book of the Bible. Rather than accepting man’s ideas about the past and forcing them into Scripture, we must always start with Scripture first and allow God’s Word to be our authority."

Meditation Upon the PSALMS Series: Psalm 3

"THIS psalm is said to be “a psalm of David, when he fled from Absalom his son.”
There is no reason to suppose that this in scription is not correct.
Whether it was written during the flight, or was written afterwards, as expressing the feelings which he had on that occasion, is immaterial.

Knowing the circumstances which called for this psalm we can enter more fully into the feelings of the psalmist.
Those circumstances we find recorded in detail in 2 Samuel chapters 15, 16, 17. With the incidents therein related fresh in our minds, let us examine the psalm, and see what there is in it which is profitable for us.
vs. 1: Lord, how are they increased that trouble me! many are they that rise up against me. The same language may be used by every one who professes to follow Christ.

To every one the warning is given, 1 Peter 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walks about, seeking whom he made devour. He is at the head of a host, so that we have, as the apostle says, to contend… Ephesians 6:12 ...against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against wicked spirits in high places.
Moreover, Christians are informed that in the world they shall have tribulation; Satan is the “god of this world,” and since he is the enemy of all righteousness we would naturally expect that the world would not be friendly to the Christian.

Psalm 3:2-4 Many there be which say of my soul, There is no help
for him in God.
But You, O Lord, are a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of a my head. I cried unto the Lord with my voice, and He heard me out of His holy hill.
No portion of the Scriptures was written without a purpose. Romans 15:4 Whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the Scriptures might have a hope.
---When we read in the Old Testament, how wonderfully God de livered His people in time of battle, it is that we may take courage."
