Meditation Upon the PSALMS Series: Psalm 147

"Psalm 147:
If the previous psalm is individualistic, this psalm forms an appropriate contrast with its emphasis on communal praise.

(1) Because the Lord delivers the oppressed
(verses 2-6);
(2) Because the Lord provides for the faithful
(verses 8-11);
(3) Because the Lord protects Israel
(verses 13-20).

Psalm 147:1 Praise ye the LORD: for [it is] good to sing praises unto our God; for [it is] pleasant; [and] praise is comely.
Psalm 147:3 He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.
Psalm 147:4 He telleth the number of the stars; He calleth them all by [their] names.
Psalm 147:10 He delighteth not in the strength of the horse: He taketh not pleasure in the legs of a man.
Psalm 147:11 The LORD taketh pleasure in them that fear Him, in those that hope in His mercy.
Psalm 147:19 He showeth his word unto Jacob, His statutes and His judgments unto Israel.
Psalm 147:20 He hath not dealt so with any nation: and [as for His] judgments, they have not known them. Praise ye the LORD."

Creation Moment 7/4/2026 - TOI-791

Once again Planetary UNIQUENESS = DESIGN.
Hath in these last days spoken unto us by His Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also He made the worlds; Hebrews 1:2

"An international team led by researchers at the University of Oxford has discovered the pair of so-called “super-puffplanets orbiting a star approximately 1,110 light-years from Earth in the southern constellation Volans. The findings, published in Monthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society, place the two worlds among the lowest-density giant planets ever detected.

A big planet usually means a lot of mass. Jupiter, for instance, is
enormous, but it also has the weight to match, although its density is a bit more than four times smaller than Earth’s (1.326 g/cm³ vs 5.52 g/cm³, respectively). These newly discovered two worlds break the mold.
TOI-791 b is close to the size of Jupiter, yet its density is only 0.038 grams per cubic centimeter. TOI-791 c is larger and denser, although measuring a still modest 0.047 grams per cubic centimeter..... one leading idea is that super-puff planets have huge hydrogen- and helium-rich atmospheres wrapped around relatively small cores.

Meanwhile, candy floss comes in at roughly 0.05 grams per cubic centimeter.
The planets orbit an F7-type dwarf star coined TOI-791. TOI-791 b and TOI-791 c appear to be locked in a 5:3 orbital resonance. That means that for every five trips the inner planet makes around the star, the outer planet completes almost exactly three. This may sound like a small detail, but in planetary systems, timing is everything. Planets in resonance tug on each other in predictable ways, like two people pulling on the same bedsheet from opposite sides.

For now, TOI-791 b and c are a reminder that the universe still has a sense of humor. After decades of exoplanet discoveries, astronomers have found hot Jupiters skimming their stars, lava worlds with molten surfaces and planets that orbit two or even more stars. Now they have found a pair of giant planets so insubstantial that they make Jupiter look like a bowling ball.

They are huge. They are faintly absurd. And they may be exactly the kind of worlds astronomers need to better understand how planetary systems are built."

Meditation Upon the PSALMS Series: Psalm 146

"Psalm 146:
The last five psalms stand out quite conspicuously in the Psalter.

I. Commitment to Praise
(146:1-2);
II. Misplaced Trust
(146:3-4);
III. Blessed Hope
(146:5-10).

Psalm 146:1 Praise ye the LORD. Praise the LORD, O my soul.
Psalm 146:2 While I live will I praise the LORD: I will sing
praises unto my God while I have any being.

Psalm 146:3 Put not your trust in princes, [nor] in the son of man, in whom [there is] no help.
Psalm 146:4 His breath goeth forth, he returneth to his earth; in that very day his thoughts perish.
Psalm 146:10 The LORD shall reign for ever, [even] thy God, O Zion, unto all generations. Praise ye the LORD."

Creation Moment 7/3/2026 - An expression of a higher sort of intelligence and intention

For the invisible things of Him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made,... Romans 1:20

"When I refer to the organism’s intelligent agency, or its purposiveness, or its directed coordination of means to serve
particular ends, I do not imply anything equivalent to our own conscious purposing or planning.
But neither do I suggest something inferior to our particular sort of wisdom and power of action. If anything, we must consider organic life — for example, the life of our cells — to be an expression of a higher sort of intelligence and intention than we ourselves can yet imagine consciously achieving in the technological realm.

Meditation Upon the PSALMS Series: Psalm 145

"Psalm 145:
This psalm is known for several distinguishing marks: it is the last acrostic psalm, the last Davidic psalm, the only psalm to be called a praise psalm in the superscription, and the first of the six great praise psalms that conclude the collection.
Psalm 145 begins the great crescendo of praise that completes the psalter and might be called “The Final Hallel”.

I. Commitment to Praise
(145:1-2);
II. God’s Awesome Greatness
(145:3-7);
III. God’s Great Grace
(145:8-13);
IV. God’s Unfailing Faithfulness
(145:14-16);
V. God’s Unblemished Righteousness
(145:17-20);
VI. Recommitment/Exhortation to Praise
(145:21).

Psalm 145:1 I will extol Thee, my God, O king; and I will bless
Thy name for ever and ever.

Psalm 145:2 Every day will I bless Thee; and I will praise Thy name for ever and ever.
Psalm 145:8 The LORD [is] gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy.
Psalm 145:9 The LORD [is] good to all:
and His tender mercies [are] over all His works.
Psalm 145:18 The LORD [is] nigh unto all them that call upon Him, to all that call upon Him in truth."

Creation Moment 7/2/2026 - How science led an atheist Harvard physicist to Christ

Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered. Romans 4:7

"For most of his life,
Michael Guillén believed science would explain everything.
Science was my god," Guillén told The Christian Post.
But today, the scientist says that the same science eventually dismantled his atheism and led him to the Savior.

His new documentary, “The Invisible Everywhere: Believing Is Seeing,” chronicles a decades-long journey from skepticism to
Christian faith, highlighting how modern scientific discoveries point beyond a strictly materialistic understanding of reality.

"Modern science is not just compatible with the Christian worldview," he said. "The scientific worldview is actually synergistic with the Christian worldview."

While studying astrophysics at Cornell, Guillén became fascinated by what scientists then called the "missing mass problem." Astronomers observed that galaxies and galaxy clusters were spinning far faster than visible matter could explain. The solution, first proposed by Swiss astronomer Fritz Zwicky in 1933, was the existence of invisible matter exerting gravitational influence throughout the cosmos. Today, scientists refer to that unseen substance as dark matter. Combined with dark energy, it is believed to make up roughly 95% of the universe, an implication Guillén said completely dismantled what he thought he knew about science.
"I realized I couldn't live by this motto, 'seeing is believing,'" he said. "It just doesn't hold up to scrutiny."

The discovery launched what he called a scientific and spiritual quest. He studied Hinduism, Islam, Judaism, Confucianism and transcendental meditation. Nothing fully satisfied him — and then a fellow Cornell student, an attractive young woman named Laurel, challenged him to read the Bible. "It was like curtains parting and birds chirping and the sun shining," he recalled.
Still, that realization did not produce an instant conversion, he said, adding: "It took me about another 20 years.

By then, he was moving through some of the most elite scientific
institutions in the world and surrounded by brilliant scientists who scoffed at Christianity. Guillén recalled standing among fellow physicists at Harvard discussing the Nobel Prize-winning physicist Robert Millikan. During the conversation, one distinguished colleague dismissed Millikan's accomplishments with a cutting remark. "Too bad he was such a lowbrow," the physicist said. "He was a Christian."

The comment stunned Guillén.

According to Guillén, college students today aren’t hostile to Biblical truth, but curious and still willing to ask difficult questions about existence, meaning, truth and science’s compatibility with faith." msn

Meditation Upon the PSALMS Series: Psalm 144

"Psalm 144:
This royal psalm appears to be a compilation from other psalms (8, 18, 33, 102 – 104; but mainly Psalm 18).

I. God’s Greatness
(144:1-2);
II. Man’s Insignificance
(144:3-4);
III. God’s Power
(144:5-8);
IV. Man’s Praise
(144:9-10);
V. God’s Blessing
(144:11-15).

Psalm 144:1 Blessed [be] the LORD my strength, which teacheth my hands to war, [and] my fingers to fight:
Psalm 144:3 LORD, what [is] man, that Thou takest knowledge of him! [or] the son of man, that Thou makest account of him!
Psalm 144:4 Man is like to vanity:
his days [are] as a shadow that passeth away.
Psalm 144:7 Send thine hand from above; rid me, and deliver me
out of great waters, from the hand of strange children;

Psalm 144:9 I will sing a new song unto Thee, O God: upon a psaltery [and] an instrument of ten strings will I sing praises unto Thee.
Psalm 144:15 Happy [is that] people, that is in such a case: [yea], happy [is that] people, whose God [is] the LORD."

Branham & Bell: Servants of Satan on Racism [Serpent Seed & Interest Convergence Hypothesis]

Serpent Seed:
"The
serpent seed theory refers to a false teaching that unnecessarily links the incident between Eve and the serpent (Satan) in Genesis to sexual relations. This teaching states that Eve had sexual relations with the serpent and from that Cain was born. Therefore, Cain and his descendants are considered descendants of Satan.

However, this doctrine is not in harmony with the teachings of the Bible. The
serpent’s seed doctrine is a mixture of racial discrimination, prejudice, and religious superstition, which attempts to identify certain races or groups as the offspring of Satan.

Branham (1909–65), a proponent of Oneness theology, taught the so-called serpent seed.
Here is what really happened in the Garden of Eden. The Word says that Eve was beguiled by the serpent. She was actually seduced by the serpent….He was so close to being human that his seed could, and did mingle with that of the woman and cause her to conceive. When this happened, God cursed the serpent.”
William Branham

**As early as the mid-1940s, Identity preachers were building a new doctrine: the Serpent Seed theory. It is a fairly simple and straightforward belief: Jews are the physical descendants of a sexual union between ‘Mother Eve’ and ‘the serpent’ (Gen. 3). The serpent is variously identified as either Satan, or a demonic representative of Satan. As such, Jews are literally ‘Children of the Devil.’

William Branham taught the Christian Identity doctrines of Wesley A. Swift. According to this doctrine, the Serpent from the Garden of Eden mated with Eve to produce the black race.
William Branham's repeated use of racial language alongside terms like "darkie," reflected the racial assumptions of the white supremacist world that shaped his ministry, especially through his mentor Roy E. Davis and his continued ties to Klan-connected
figures; although
Branham claimed to have repented of personal hatred toward Black people, his Serpent's Seed and "hybreeding" doctrines carried forward Christian Identity ideas associated with Wesley Swift, teaching racial impurity, condemning interracial marriage, and allowing later Message figures to identify Black people with the serpent's alleged evil bloodline, even as modern defenders attempt to soften or obscure the racial meaning of those teachings.
Branham re-branded Swift's doctrine and sold it to the masses under the name "Serpent's Seed", carefully separating the racial implications from Swift's doctrine into his own "hybreeding" doctrine. According to the "hybreeding" doctrine, the black race was impure, "mongrel",and should not mix with the white race. The "Curse of Ham", which described the "evil" through time due to the "colored people"."

Interest Convergence Hypothesis:
"If you're not familiar with critical race theory, it was developed by the first African-American tenure law professor at Harvard called Derek Bell. And there are various aspects of critical race theory.
One of which divides the world into oppressors and oppressed, which is the cultural Marxist worldview.
You have the concept of intersectionality.....so that you're oppressed along multiple planes of existence. So if you are for instance black, female and gay and handicapped you're you're you're discriminated against in four bases in society that's what intersectionality is.

But professor Derek Bell his unique contribution to critical race
theory
was something called the interest convergence hypothesis. And the
 interest convergence hypothesis says this: White people are so intrinsically evil that even if a white person, does something to ostensibly help the plight of black people in America, that white person is never actually acting to benefit black people in America, they're acting to to perpetuate white supremacy and the subjugation of the black people.... what this means is that white people are intrinsically and for forever will be evil.

**The logical conclusion of of this kind of ideology is not just segregation. It's the elimination of the problem race, which is genocide."
Conrad Vine

REBUTTAL:
The Bible clearly shows that all people come from one source (And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the
face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation;
Acts 17:26
), and salvation is open to all
Paul taught that “sin came into the world through one man, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men” (Romans 5:12).
He reinforced this by stating that “in Adam all die,” (1 Corinthians 15:22).

SDA History: Non-SDA Literature for SDA beliefs

"The rise of the papacy as supreme power was presented in a book and paper by Frances Dvornik in 1961.

Byzantium and the Roman Primacy. The American Ecclesiastical Review 289-312. Online available 12th of June 2016 at http://www.catholicculture.org/culture/library/view.cfm?id=1355.

The Collectio Avellana is a prime source for research of this type. These 244 manuscripts dealt with heresies and schism and how the papal and imperial powers approached the issues.
It ends with the last letter written by emperor Justinian to pope
Vigilius
on the 14th of May 553.

The Corpus Novellae of Justinian is an ingredient part of this research.

The Liber Pontificalis is another source that is essential for a study like this. It originated in the year 510 in the days of the primacy of the papacy insistence pope Homisdas and the intention was to illustrate the role of the popes.

D. Deliyannis, (2014). The Roman Liber Pontificalis, Papal Primacy, and the Acacian Schism. Viator Vol. 45/2: 1-16. For
the date of its compilation as between 514-530 see
Liber Pontificalis by Duchesne 1886: XLV. Duchesne knows of two manuscripts Parisinus 5140 and Vaticanus 3764 (Duchesne 1886: XLVII).

The popes with whom Justinian and Theodora dealt that are relevant here are pope Johannes II (533-535); pope Agapetus (535-536); pope Silverius (536-537); Vigilius (537-555).

A helpful source for those who struggle to get access to the originals or good translations thereof of the papal letters to Justinian and other pertinent sources mentioned in this writing, is the Source Book Vol. 2 on AD 538 by Heidi Heiks (2010).

For a helpful chronology of Justinian, the Gothic kings, the Vandals as well as the year from Creation as calculated by Jerome, see the Chronica Minora edited by T. Mommsen 1894.

Newton all calculated the 1260 days of Revelation and Daniel as 1260 years.
He felt that any period that indicated a division of the Roman Empire is a candidate for this event starting the 1260 years.
Bishop Newton apparently said that if one is to find the ten kings, one has to look at the broken pieces of the Roman Empire”
For Frere the starting date for the 1260 years is 536.
Faber wanted it to start before 325 A.D. and Cuninghame suggested the thirteenth century.
Maitland used Frere and Cuninghame to argue against Faber that the date is not 606 but 533 with the Edict of Justinian.
For Mede the prophetic persecution started in 456 A.D.23
Frere was in search for the year the Edict was published.
Hales suggested 620 A.D. Bishop Newton in 727 A.D. and Lowman in 757A.D.
These are the times given for the ‘saints given in the hands of the beast’ as predicted by Daniel and Revelation. Maitland himself seems to say the event took place sometime in the fifth, sixth, seventh or eighth centuries. He called on all researchers of the 1260 days as 1260 years to cite their sources with accuracy and check
whether the source was correctly used and cited.
W. Spicer (1918) wrote on the
1260 years. In his diagram he dates it either between 533 to 1793 or between 538 to
1798. Spicer said that in 533 came the recognition of the supremacy of the pope and in 538 the sword came to Rome.
He found from secondary sources that used the originals that a turning point was in the year 538 when Vigilius became pope in the place of pope Silverius. He was removed in 537 but Justinian intervened and he was kept until 538.
H. S. Prenier, (1919), “on the 1260 days” Andrews University, James White library, Adventist Research Center lower floor.
In 1854 T. M. Preble wrote a manuscript which is a review of the argument to prove that the 1260 years started in 519 A.D.
A Millerite F. H. Berick (1853) wrote a research on 1260, 1290 and 1335. An article appeared on the opic of the end of the 1260 years in 1843. W. Digby, (1831), also wrote on the 1260 years. K. van Wyk, (1992), presented a devotional on new aspects surrounding the historicity of 538 regarding numismatics and Justinian.

Revelation 13:12 says that the “dragon gave him his power, his seat and great authority”... then the actions of Justinian, Belisarius answering the call of the pope to come to Rome with his military for defense, the coin change of Justinian in 538, his public announcement to the whole empire that he is a theologian and not a
soldier in
538 on his coins, his ecumenical and theological interest in Systematic Theology recognized by pope Johannes in his 533 letter to Justinian, Justinian’s emphasizing the supremacy of the papacy in his letter to Johannes, all these factors point to a paradigm shift in the history of that time: that is to say, the fall of the Pagan Rome Empire and the Ascendancy and development of the papacy to form the Holy Roman Empire
--With the seat of Justinian symbolically “vacant” as emperor, the “symbolic power gap” was there for the papacy to take it. Augsburger (1952) indicated that it was the church who fed the people after 538 A.D. described as disastrous years.
--Diehl wrote “In this hour which marks for her (Rome) the end of ancient times, she was taking on the aspect that she was to keep during the whole Middle Ages and upon the debris of the palaces of the Caesars was slowly rising the authority of the popes.”
--Gregory the Great described the rise of the church on the ruins of Rome of the Gothic wars Gregory described very eloquently the summary of the churches’ rise to power “Amid the frightful storms of the Gothic War classical civilization perished in Rome and throughout Italy. In cities burnt, desolated and mutilated, ruins remained the sole evidence of former splendor.
The prophecy of the Sybil was fulfilled. The night of barbarism had descended on the Latin world, a darkness in which no light was visible other than of the tapers of the church and the lonely studentlamp of the monk brooding in his cloister.
--George Butler in 1885, as a president of the Seventh Day Adventist church, cites a speech of a bishop at the Ecumenical Council in
1870 which said
: "
Pope Vigilius, A.D. 538, bought the papacy from Belisarius, agent of the Emperor Justinian; though to be sure he broke his promise, and paid nothing Is this mode of gaining the tiara canonical?" (Vatican Council 1870: 189 cited in George Butler 1885: from the American Tract Society Pamphlet with the title: "The
Speech of a Bishop in the Vatican Council
").
Butler listed many outside scholars who already understood the 1260
years
prophecy, the fall in 1798 and the beginning in 538
It was not an invention by Seventh Day Adventists since it is historical and Biblical, recognized earlier by many commentators and historians."

Creation Moment 7/1/2026 - Quantum Mechanics has destroyed Classical Materialism

Understand, ye brutish among the people: and ye fools, when will ye be wise? Psalm 94:8

"Writer Graham Phillips takes aim at many universes theory, the lazy materialist’s dodge for getting away from the reality of the fine-tuning of the universe for life: There are countless universes out there with different variables and ours just happens to be one that enables life.

In “The Mind at the End of the Universe,” Phillips responds,
"If you restrict yourself to materialist theories, well, maybe. But is it taking materialism too far if it forces you to invent hordes of other unobservable universes to solve a problem in ours? I wonder if, like
solipsism, the
multiverse theory is a tad distasteful for the same reason—it can’t be empirically verified or falsified.
Alternatively, could dropping the unassailable fidelity to materialism—the belief that the universe consists of nothing other than physical fields, energy, and particles—lead to a more intellectually satisfying solution to the finetuning problem?"

He contrasts Susskind’s approach with that of Princeton’s John Archibald Wheeler (1911–2008). Wheeler saw that quantum mechanics (QM), the science of the behavior of subatomic particles, challenged the materialist universe:
"Wheeler came to this conclusion after wrestling with the discoveries of quantum physics. In particular, it was one of the theory’s most brain-bending revelations that forced his hand: that the world out there doesn’t seem to fully exist until it’s observed. Or until it’s measured, to use the term physicists prefer. For instance, particles, which are the building blocks of everything, don’t have a position until they’re pinned down by observation. They are neither here nor there.
The before-measurement world is only kind of there, partially existing, as a vast array of possibilities, but not an actuality. As after it’s observed, the potentialities crystallize into the reality we know."

What all this points to is the way quantum mechanics has destroyed classical materialism. It has left thinkers, who could once celebrate the certainty of science, searching in many new directions for ways to unite our various understandings of the universe. Materialism isn’t so much dying out these days as breaking up."
