The Parable in Matthew 24

"Because our Lord, after stating that the sun should be darkened, and

that the moon should not give her light, and that the stars should fall from heaven, gives the following forcible parable, and makes the most distinct application of it to this subject. 
He says: Now learn a parable of the fig tree. When his branch is yet ten der, and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is nigh. So likewise you, when you shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors. Matthew 24:32,33."
