Creation Moment 9/17/2026 - Sabbath of Creation

For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it. Exodus 20:11

"Some have argued that the Sabbath in Genesis is different from the

Sabbath that God gave to Israel. 

*However, this is not tenable because there are several commonalities between the Genesis and Exodus accounts. 

In both: 

✓ The Sabbath is a memorial of creation

✓ The Sabbath comes after six days of labor

✓ The Sabbath is the seventh day of the week

✓ In both accounts God rested and then blessed and sanctified the seventh day."
