David once again demonstrates a godly response to overwhelming and depressing developments in life.
I. The Cry for Help (61:1-2).
II. The Confidence in God (61:3-7).
III. The Commitment to Loyalty (61:8).
Psalm 61:1 Hear my cry, O God; attend unto my prayer.
Psalm 61:2 From the end of the earth will I cry unto Thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock [that] is higher than I.
Psalm 61:4 I will abide in Thy tabernacle for ever: I will trust in the covert of Thy wings. Selah."

This Rock of course, is Jesus Christ our Lord.
This is the Rock that cannot be moved.
This Rock is higher than us all.
