We don’t celebrate Newton Day, or Einstein Day or Pasteur Day, but

Darwin Day gets international recognition every February 12th. 

Some scientists have their works available online, but the Darwin Correspondence Project published every letter, book and note penned by Charles Darwin.
Q: Why all the attention showered on the father of evolutionary theory? 

A: The answer is due to the religious nature of his views.
