I. Fort Wayne -- "Fort Wayne, Indiana, mall is on lockdown after a person was shot inside for the second time in two months. Local news outlet WPTA reported the person was shot by the fountain near
JC Penney in the Glenbrook Square Mall at around noon. WANE reported the victim was shot in the leg. According to WANE, the shooting followed an altercation between two people. The gunman fled the mall, witness told the station. This is the second time in as many months a person was shot at this particular mall. On July 8, a person was struck in the upper leg when gunfire broke out during what police called an argument inside the mall's H&M store.

II. Columbus --"Two 13-year-olds were taken into custody
the shooting death of another juvenile outside of an ice cream shop outside a Columbus, Ohio mall Sunday evening. The juvenile
victim, whose identity has not yet been released, was taken to Mount Carmel East and declared dead at around 6:50 p.m.In total, about 70 officers responded to the shooting, which they now believe was an isolated incident. Multiple guns were taken from the scene.Law enforcement initially locked down the mall as officers with rifles escorted shoppers away from the scene.One 13-year-old was arrested for murder, and another for obstruction of justice."

III. San Francisco -- "A mall in downtown San Francisco was plagued with shoplifting, robberies, and violence in the months

eading up to its owner's decision this week to turn the property back to its lenders
... Westfield executive wrote that staff at Claire's, the teen jewelry store, said there "was not much slow down" in shoplifting since the officers began their patrols, the Chronicle reported. Sami Archondo, vice president of retail at Ted Baker, wrote to other store executives, "We urgently need to discuss Westfield," according to the newspaper.Archondo wrote that five female employees at the store's location there reported an "increase in violent activity from homeless people on the streets coming in the mall,"...the workers highlighted incidents from elsewhere in the complex, including how security guards at another store were stabbed and a homeless person allegedly sexually assaulted a customer in a restroom,...employees at the Ted Baker store locked the doors and someone began banging on them, “threatening to bring a gun to shoot everyone, and telling our team that they will wait for them and rape them on their way home,”..."
