Numerous complex cellular genetic-repair systems have been discovered, however, that ensure that the expression of mutations is extremely rare. 

 

Less than one per 100 thousand mutations gets through the repair system without correction. These repair systems pose major problems for evolution because virtually 

---all genetic changes caused by accidental base-pair changes will be corrected (and thus not expressed),
