"Biden’s new ‘Ministry of Truth’ is a blatant move to control Americans via social media.
Following news that The Department of Homeland Security’s new ‘disinformation governance board’ will
be headed by a woman who says free speech makes her ‘shudder’ and who
falsely labeled the Hunter Biden laptop story disinformation,
Republicans called for the body to be scrapped, labeling it a
‘monstrosity’.
Heading the opposition to what has been compared to the Ministry of
Truth in Orwell’s 1984, Senator Josh Hawley wrote to DHS Secretary
Mayorkas noting “I confess, I at first thought this announcement was satire.”
Permitted speech will be defined by government agencies, and the
mechanisms for controlling, targeting or removing speech that challenges
that narrative will now lead to content removal.
As POLITICO reported:
“DHS is standing up a new Disinformation GovernanceBoard to coordinate countering misinformation related to homeland security, focused specifically on irregular migration and Russia. Nina Jankowicz will head the board as executive director. She previously was a disinformation fellow at the Wilson Center, advised the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry as part of the Fulbright Public Policy Fellowship and oversaw Russia and Belarus programs at the National Democratic Institute.” IW/Lifesite
