Christ Placed Himself on the Level of Humanity

"The question of the nature of Christ while in the flesh is
one of the foundation pillars of Christianity. 

 

---On this doctrine hangs the salvation of man. The apostle John makes it a deciding factor by saying,
1 John 4
2 Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God.
3 And every spirit that confesses not that Jesus Christ is
come in the flesh is not of God.
 

Q: In what kind of flesh did Jesus come to this earth? 

We repeat a quotation which we have given above:
The Desire of Ages, p. 117:

"Christ took upon Him the infirmities of degenerate humanity. 

Only thus could He rescue man from the lowest
depths of his degradation."

 

Only as Christ placed Himself on the level of the humanity He had come to save, could He demonstrate to men how to overcome their infirmities and passion."
