In doing so, He shut Satan's mouth,
vindicating the eternal fairness, justice, and mercies of God. Watching
Calvary, the universe of unfallen beings rejoiced with our Lord's cry,
"It is finished" (John 19:30)— "Satan was defeated. Not until Christ's death was the
character of Satan clearly revealed to the angels or to the unfallen
