Sabbath Lessons of Exodus 23:12

"In this brief interview the Sabbath is not forgotten:

"Six days thou shalt do thy work, and on the seventh day thou shalt rest; that thine ox and thine ass may rest, and the son of thy handmaid, and the stranger, may be refreshed." Ex. 23:12

This scripture furnishes incidental proof that
--the Sabbath was made for mankind,
--and for those creatures that share the labors of man.
--The stranger and the foreigner must keep it, and it was for their refreshment.
...But the same persons could not partake of the passover until they were made members of the Hebrew church by circumcision."
