Isaiah 24:5 in Focus

Behold, the LORD maketh the earth empty, and maketh it waste,
and turneth it upside down, and scattereth abroad the inhabitants thereof.
The earth also is defiled under the inhabitants thereof;
because they have transgressed the laws,
changed the ordinance,
broken the everlasting covenant.
Therefore hath the curse devoured the earth, and they that dwell therein are desolate:
therefore the inhabitants of the earth are burned....
Isaiah 24:1,5,6
"It is impossible to describe the horror and despair of those who have trampled upon God's law.
To secure the favor of the world,
---they set aside its precepts
---and taught others to transgress.
Now they are condemned by that law which they have despised. They see that they are without excuse.
The enemies of God's law have a new conception of truth and duty.
Too late they see that the Sabbath is the seal of the living God.
They have been fighting against God.
Religious teachers have
---led souls to perdition
---while professing to guide them to Paradise."
