From the "Really" File - (Beer-nedict XVI)

..... strong drink is raging: and whosoever is deceived thereby is not wise.
Proverbs 20:1

"An Ohio brewery has produced a specially-commissioned beer in
honor of Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI.

The Bavarian-style hefeweizen, called Beer-nedict XVI: Pint-ifex Maximus, was launched at the conference of the Society for Catholic Social Scientists in Steubenville, Ohio last Thursday.
The Benedict XVI Centre of St Mary’s University, Twickenham, organized a fringe event at which the beer was unveiled and the first kegs received a priestly blessing.

The beer was made by a local Ohio brewery, the Hightower Brewing Company.

From the "REALLY" File
Professor Stephen Bullivant, director of the Centre, said: “The Pope Emeritus honored St Mary’s with a visit in 2010 and – like him – we like good beer. So this seemed like a fitting and fun way for the Centre both to toast Benedict’s 90th year, and to mark the 25th anniversary of the Society for Catholic Social Scientists.”

In April, the Pope Emeritus was pictured in his native Bavaria celebrating his 90th birthday with a glass of beer." CatholicHerald
